Awesome Video!
Awesome episode, I had habanero sauce with my chicken while I watched, thanks Rob 😊
Love Aero Garden growing . Plz , keep updating .
Great video! Very informative & quick to the point. New subby right here! :0)
To protect the pump, there should be a filter in the slot in front of the pump. You can make your own with a washing scrub pads from the dollar store, just cut it to size. It’s basically the rough side minus the sponge part of a scotch scrub pad.
Great video, Rob! I really need to invest in one of these. It seems like the root structure grows more uniformly in the sponges. Plus it saves alot of space. Happy growing!
I love you your awesome.
Did you ever try to transplant extra seedlings? I have doubles in almost every sponge!
I just started watching your channel, but after this video, I immediately ordered an AeroGarden! Thanks, Rob!
I grow culinary herbs year-round with my Harvest Elite but, I had spectacular success using it to start my tomatoes this last January. I couldn’t believe how much healthier and heartier they were compared to those started in soil. Now, if I can figure out how to keep the *^%$ caterpillars off of them in the spring, I’ll be all set. Your channel is extremely informative, especially this video. Few people go though the trouble of explaining the end-of-growth cleaning process. Thank you very much for your efforts!
Thanks for this video, Rob. I just cleaned mine out after a long hard year of growing peppers and lettuce plants. I just could not figure out how to take the top apart. I thought, for sure there must be a special tool they need to do that, so I just ran a bunch of bleach water through it hoping that would take care of any nasties. When you just popped yours apart, I stopped the video and took mine apart to find it was just as root bound as yours. I took a few minutes, cleaned it up, and then finished your video. Thanks again!
Were you able to pull the growths out of the plugs, or not because of the roots? I didn’t see an update on that. Thank you 🙂 Would love to know how you transplant too.
Would it be advisable to put a waterhear for fish tak to keep water at a certain temp.thoughts please
awesome video
Awesome video Rob! I think a water and white vinegar solution would get rid of the white residue from mineral buildup. It works
Tomatoes please
You inspired my wife and I to get an AeroGarden as a joint gift from her parents who didn’t know what to get us. It’s been phenomenal.
I do not know what they expect you to put in the 9 holes as anything you want to get to full size, will never have enough room. We didn’t do the herbs after seeing how yours turned out but we got lettuce packs and with 4 ( should have done 2 or maybe 3 at most), after a few weeks the ones in front were outpacing the back ones super fast. I wonder if your back row will star now. It was really strange how fast the 2 in the front outpaced the ones in the back.
MrClean Magic Eraser oughta get rid of your residue.
Great video Rob. I too love my aerogardens for seed starting. At times I am a meticulous nerd and the best way I found to really clean the grow deck is to use my dremel with a buffing attachment or sponge attachment and buff the white residue away. a good electric toothbrush with vinegar has also proved to be effective. Thanks for the great video.
I have an older 7 model and they no longer sell the seed starter. I made one from plastic but my question is; do they need the water pump and flow hooked up or can they sit in the water with the light? Thanks!
Why is the pump not used for seed starting? It seems this is the best way to keep the tank clean. Any info on this appreciated – cannot find anywhere. Thanks!
Why not let them grow?
After starting the seedlings, when you will transplant to their final pots… what is the recommended size for the pots for chili peppers?
I enjoy a lot your channel, greetings from the Galilee.
— Ricky Marek,
Great use for that clear plastic tray!
Hey Rob, I remembered you requesting another way to clean your Aerogarden. Hygrozyme is a totally organic way to clean sorayers and pretty much everything…including roots in soil!

Looking good Rob. Looks like this year will be a bumper one for you
Thank you for sharing. Very informative 👍
What were those small peppers?
Great video Rob! Love your hydroponic vids. I just finished the germination cycle on 4 Green jalapenos and 2 purple in my older model aerogarden. These little hydroponic systems are so cool! Heres hoping I have some luck with my new little pepper plants.
Also, I love the musical transitions. Every time i tend to my plants I hum "My roots are in the water but Im reachin for the sky" Just the bees knees man.
What version of aero garden do ya have
vinegar 🙂 to remove the white spots
Help please. 12 days ago I planted 144 super hot pepper seeds in 2 Jiffy 72 count greenhouses. I used distilled water and placed 1 seed in each pellet. Covered with the greenhouse lid and placed them both on their own germinating heating pads. Everything was placed in a small 2’6"x2’6"x2′ Yield Lab grow tent. 3 days of darkness and then I turned on 2 small T5 lights 24/7 not to miss any plant from germinating. I’ve expected to see something pop by now. Saturday will be 2 weeks. Bakers creek and pepper head are where the seeds came from. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and god bless.
hi big buddy how is everyone ?
Hey there. That was pretty cool. I always thought you need to start the veggie seeds in the dark ? So that’s what I’ve been doing and they do start fine but does it matter ? light or dark ? I like how long those starter things were but why are they sponges ? How are you supposed to get the seed off of them….I guess I wait & see huh 😀 Boy them pepper plans were not all that happy. Were the flavor any spicier that the regular size peppers ? I am hoping to make it to lowes today to get some seed starter. Thanks and have a great week you guys 👍😃👋
I have the seed starter as well. My dirt pods have A nasty green algae kinda like yours. But my plants are not growing. Is the algae bad? Can I get rid of it?
Thank you for posting this. I noticed the grow sponges (with all the pepper seedlings) have that mossy-green-algae on the top, where the damp sponges were exposed to the light. I get the same problem. Do you consider this harmful to the plants in any way? I want to buy more sponges, but they’re unavailable now, not on Amazon, nor on AeroGarden.com. I’ve been drying and re-using the ones from non-viable seeds.
When you transplant them to soil, did you leave the sponges in or take them out?
Nice video, Rob! I’m starting to get some sprouts on mine. It’s a nice system, a very small footprint for starting 50 plants. Regarding the extras that come up, in my experience, you can safely extract them when they’re very young before the roots get established. When there’s just a tap root. It’s hit or miss, sometimes they break off. I have a video on it. https://youtu.be/Z9oPf1Fhoxk
Great Video Rob!! Happy Day!!🙃❣️
Always a great day when you come home from work to a new 7 Pot Club
Great video. The link to the seed starting instruction sheet doesn’t work, at least on my iPad. Would be helpful to have it, thanks.
Hi Rob! New to the channel. Any update on the seedlings?
I loved this video. So informative and heart-warming. Thank you!
I can’t seem to find this same seed starting tray with 50 pods. Do you have the model # for it? Thank you!
Awesome video series Rob! I think a water and white vinegar solution would get rid of the white residue from mineral buildup. It works for buildup on all sorts of things around the house. Thanks for making these videos.
Good video im just curious why are you so red mate
Hello! How did transplanting these to the garden go? Thank you for your awesome content
Nice video Rob. I like mine and recently learned about the plastic shipping material that can be used for a dome. I have a smaller footprint device that starts 31 but love it.
This is interesting, looking forward to more aerogarden stuff.
All but 3 of my seed died while trying to push out of the pods. very disappointed. goint to start again. this time ill cut the pods. any advice?
