Aeroponics vs Hydroponics – Which is Better?
Aeroponics vs Hydroponics – Which is Better?
Learn the advantages and disadvantages of aeroponics and hydroponics. I’m going to take you through each technology, what it is, and how you can use it to create self-sustaining gardens and farms that produce huge yields.
Hi, I’m Jessica with Two Way Mirrors! I just created a new website AeroponicsVsHydroponics.com with all my top tips about self-sustaining farming.
Whether you’re wanting to start a soil-free garden, looking to save the environment or simply just want to have the ability to grow any fruit or vegetable in any season, you’re probably looking into Aeroponics and Hydroponics.
Self-sustaining farming is an incredibly important way to ensure survival in an emergency situation such as a pandemic, war, or disaster, to ensure your family has enough to eat. With the right techniques, it can even feed communities, reducing reliance on government substidized farms and factories. It’s also a great way to bring farming techniques to otherwise barren parts of the world, such as deserts, rainforests, and arctic climates. It can reduce deforestation by reducing demand on local farmers to produce crops and clear large swaths of forests.
What exactly is an Aeroponic garden?
Aeroponic Garden
An Aeroponic garden is a revolutionary system that allows plants to grow in the air, without any soil while being suspended inside of an enclosed environment. Spraying their roots with nutrient-rich water solution allows them to grow strong and healthy. Typically, pressure pumps are used to gently mist your plants roots with the water solution.
What’s a Hydroponic garden system?
Hydroponic Garden
A Hydroponic system is where the plants are in a growing tray that has a nutrient-rich water solution flowing through the bottom of the tray area providing food and nutrients to promote the growth of your plants.
The cost of the systems?
When first starting out, the cost of the system can be a huge factor in choosing which system to utilize for some people.
Aeroponic systems can have a much higher initial start up cost compared to the Hydroponic systems. This is partially because Aeroponic systems depend on machinery to keep the plants alive and healthy.
A display of multiple plants growing in an Aeroponics setup
Aeroponic systems consist of machinery such as high pressure pumps, automatic mist nozzles, and a timer. With this system, your plants are susceptible to power outages and require an expensive backup generator.
The plants in this system need to be in an enclosed environment because the plants are enclosed in a dark environment, they turn the carbon dioxide into oxygen. This process is called photosynthesis. However, low energy lamps should be used to help supplement photosynthesis.
If the machinery fails and the plants go without the needed nutrients, the plants in an Aeroponic system will fail to survive within just a few hours post malfunction. It’s this fact that causes the Aeroponic system to have a more substantial cost than Hydroponics when first starting out.
When starting your Aeroponic system, you are going to want to make sure that you have a backup solution that is ready to use, just in case your machinery fails. This is a necessary precautionary measure that’s needed to ensure you do not lose all of your plants within just a few hours.
Hydroponic Growing Setup
In a Hydroponic system, the plants are positioned in a growing tray to keep them stable and in place while water flows through the bottom of the tray, delivering the needed nutrients that the plants need to survive.
In conclusion, what you’re trying to achieve will decipher which method is best for you. If you have limited funds and want to keep the cost as low as you can, then Hydroponic takes the win.

Came for aeroponics but saw aerobatics 🤣🤣🤣
Why is she shaking her b00ty so much
I love her vileplume hairstyle. Does she have IG?
It’s giving Ricky Bobby “idk what to do with my hands” vibes.
Very nice topic but its just you sounds like your on a commercial! 😁🤣😂
Is this chick doing Karate during this video???? Omg I can even watch this!!!! Same hand movements each time, whoever taught her Karate must be fired
Was this a directors fault, or hers?
Too annoying.
I think I’m totally in love. You are full of energy, intelligent, and very (very) beautiful and sexy.
Teach me… I’ve come to school. I want to learn from you as much as possible.
I literally thought this was a healthy mrs. Eugenia Cooney or a sibling. Her energy was 10000000%
Clever using a very tight meth head or vegan to promote your channel. 👍
In the thumbnail I just KNEW this was the cash me outside girl 😂🤣
So much energy, at first I was like 😨 then I was like 😌
Is she a striper?
I can’t tell if her enthusiasm is sarcastic or genuine lmao
Way too skinny she needs a burger
shes half extra terrestrial. et no grow hydro or aero b4 either lol
Is she still available now?
omg, such irritating voice
Ermahgerd is what I’m getting from her lmaoo
Best brows in the bizz
My brain is learning so much
😂
She is really bad at sign language
Most annoying voice. Also she needs to sit on her hands when she talks
which is faster for cloning?
Don’t you need a back up system on both because airpumps are needed 24/7 for hydroponics?
Aeroponic mister heads are a pain in theass yo maintain
You know they sell brewed decaf now
I can’t listen to that voice😩
https://curiouspeoplerhere.blogspot.com/2022/06/what-is-hydroponics.html
Love the outfit love your voice love your video!
It’s like the very energetic version of a stick person lol
Shorty went the whole video standing like she was bout to drop rainbow balls out her ass
This person is on drugs..I am entertained
TF are these hand movements about.
The topic is interesting but u r irritating
I wish this woman wouldn’t show herself on camera she’s a complete freak I’d rather just hear the voice alone although even her voice is annoying how can such a loathsome creature exist I bet she comes from America or Canada.
She’s lively like presenting the subject to kindergartens
u have 2 caterpillars over ur eyes
The whole time I was focusing on her hand motion.
It’s like palm up, palm down, claws.
Palm up, palm down,
claws
The hell is wrong with me 😂
everything was on point, I need some help how may I contact you?
Bizarre
Actually, Aeroponics is used for growing root crops that can’t be grown submerged in water. Honestly, it’s quite an overkill to use expensive and power-hungry Aeroponics systems on leafy veggies such as lettuce. We’ve created vertical hydroponic systems that hold water inside the tower, which means we get the benefit of producing incredible amounts of veggies in a tiny space using very, very little energy (electricity) and equipment since our towers hold water which means they only need a little drip of water at certain times of the day to replenish what the plants drank. Of course, we can’t grow potatoes in there, so we’re going to have to do aeroponics for our root crops soon.
Regarding initial cost, I would disagree that hydroponics has a lot of initial cost than farming in soil. People often forget that land isn’t cheap at all. To give you an idea, you can only plant around 9 plants in a 20"x20" soil area to avoid nutrient competition. With our vertical hydro, you get 36 plants in the same area size. And we’re just scratching the surface. Before you could start planting in the soil, you must first hire people to keep cutting the weeds or to spray herbicides, buy tractors and machines to till the soil, and hire people to fertilize the soil. That sounds expensive and laborious. But wait, there’s more: hydroponic farms are inside greenhouses which means you can just easily install nets to prevent pests from destroying your crops plus they don’t get wet from the rain so they don’t get fungal diseases easily if at all. Soil farming doesn’t have that advantage so after toiling and spending much to condition your soil, you’ll have to keep spending and toiling much on spraying expensive pesticides and fungicides. These chemicals don’t only deter insects from eating your produce, they also deter you yourself who knows how much chemicals are flowing inside these veggies — wouldn’t want your own family to eat those chemicals. With hydroponic, all you need to hire are builders to build your greenhouse. Then you can buy and set up pre-made hydroponic systems by yourself since they are as easy to install as Ikea furniture. You’re then ready to plant and wait for the harvest.
I really wanna learn, but that voice is giving me migraine i had to stop
Find a new spokesperson. Sheesh, the excitement…
What an annoying presenter. Between the voice, way to many gestures and those eyebrows I couldn’t watch this. There’s no way that no one else also found this. Reading the comments, the internet isn’t that positive or nice. Bet this comment gets removed too.
Repitive information and irritating voice 🤮🤮
She’s trying too hard.
there no way she didnt pee herself a little expelling that much enthusiasm
