Im gonna show you how I made these cannabis selfie seeds and crosses in our first ever Breed to Harvest. This step by step guide shows you the exact time line on how to spray STS to produce feminized cannabis seeds and it outlines the exact process as it happens from start to finish.
All of these plants started off as clones that I cut from mother plants that I already grew to harvest. The reason why you want to completely grow the plants out before breeding them is to make sure these plants don’t herm naturally. This simple step is what a lot of these lazy ass breeders skip and could result in hermie seeds because without growing them out, who knows if they would have hermed or not without spraying them with STS?

So, back to the clones, I took these cuts of all of my plants before flipping the mothers, so by time the buds were nice and fat, these plants were 8 weeks into veg. By this time, I know which cuts I want to keep and the first thing I need to decide is which female to turn to my stud. In this project, I picked my most consistent strain, sweet slurry. This plant was flipped 2 weeks before the other plants Im pollinating and the trick is to spray this with STS 3 days before flip and every 5 days after that until the first sight of balls appear. (check the link on the top right for a recipe). After this plant is in bloom for 2 weeks, I reunited her with my other clones who were now also put in 12/12 lighting. The idea is to have the male flowers mature enough so that viable pollen is available by week 3-4 in bloom for the female clones, this is peak pollination time. There’s hundred’s of different ways to pollinate, but in this project, I did a simple wind tornado at week 4 of bloom on all the female clones. I shut of the inline fan, and I had oscillating fans on the bottom back pointing up and on the front right pointing down. I placed the male plant higher then the rest to let gravity help, and once in a while, I would aggesively shake the male plant on top of all the other plants. I would seal the tent and after a couple of hours of this wind treatment, I would turn the inline fan back on. Once in a while, I would grab another fan and spot blow pollen onto a plant I thought need more pollination. But that’s pretty much it, I grow them as I would normally after that. Give them at least 6 weeksto let the seeds mature and in 6 weeks, I pluck a seed pod to see if the seed has the right sheen. Then I dry just like I do normally, but I let it dry a couple of days longer. Then I harvest the seeds, clean then with h2o2, air dry them for a couple of days, then I seal them and toss them in the fridge. Here’s a couple of other crosses……

My problem was not knowing how to start the process- I’ll be doing clones as well. So spray the clone 3 days before flip and a few days apart after flip until see sacs
