Leave it to the people! You corporations take a hike! We do not need you and we’re proving it. Don’t try and scare people by saying we put pesticides on our hurb! A lot of us are "self-conscious Growers" and people like "i" know what we’re putting into what we smoke! So back off and let us do what we do!

Or, they could just do the smart thing macroeconomically and become asset-light retailers who hire Clever Leaves of Columbia to manufacture all their product, and import it. Oh wait, they can’t, because MJ is illegal on the federal level and can’t be imported!

  8. atomictraveller on May 15, 2022 at 6:47 pm

    arizona old school: $50/oz
    arizona now: $500/oz
    mexico now: $5/oz
society: "but isn’t it okay to make people constantly eat shit out of our ass?"

  9. Rod Ciferri on May 15, 2022 at 6:47 pm

There’s a much more simple solution than this. The legislature got its taxes because the voters passed the proposition. Just do a new proposition that states something like this: "All laws concerning cannabis are repealed. The legislature shall henceforth make no law with respect to cannabis."

  10. FanofDocumentaries on May 15, 2022 at 6:48 pm

The government only let you run your pot businesses for TAXES!

  16. Artisa Primus on May 15, 2022 at 6:51 pm

Weed heads lectured us for years about the benefits of legalization. Did they believe the state wouldn’t regulate and tax the shit out of the industry? It’s the dog that caught the car he was chasing.

  25. Mr. Shark Tooth on May 15, 2022 at 7:05 pm

The GREED of our politicians is at work here. The underground cannabis growers in California are dominated by the Mexican Cartels. They are here in California and they have a lot of money and guns to back themselves up. California has to declare WAR on them.

  26. Prodogtwo Dogman on May 15, 2022 at 7:07 pm

Tax and spend with no oversight

  27. 99.8% Survivor on May 15, 2022 at 7:11 pm

What could possibly go wrong? It’s good to know the water is being put to good use too.

  28. Mansa- on May 15, 2022 at 7:11 pm

This report on the legacy market producing pesticide cannabis is bullshit. Y’all taxing legal grower back to the legacy market. The legacy market will never die. Thanks to high ass taxes and unpredictable laws and not mention police are still raiding legal grows. WTF!!!

  29. Mr. Mystery on May 15, 2022 at 7:12 pm

    Nobody cares….Let them fail

  30. Jim on May 15, 2022 at 7:13 pm

Most states decided to bribe voters with "pot taxes can fix budgets for veterans, schools, roads, provide reparations for blacks, etc." This is what happens.

  31. 1mikewalsh on May 15, 2022 at 7:14 pm

Yay free weed wins again! Red or blue these politicians aren’t here for me or you!
    Free the weed.

omg that guy using a chainsaw to cut down those tiny plants, what a waste of petrol… or gas:S

  33. H J on May 15, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Do you really expect the state to lower taxes when the state is broke and appears to be crushing most private business any way they can?
And the growers paid $250,000 for a license..

  34. Erik Powell on May 15, 2022 at 7:22 pm

Most cannabis users don’t buy from legal stores. It’s more than half the price to buy from a backyard grower. I don’t use cannabis anymore but I never bought from the dispensary.

  35. YouTube Junkie on May 15, 2022 at 7:22 pm

And pounds are going for 700 or less for high grade in NorCal

It doesn’t pay to follow the law in California

  42. Sounds for money making on May 15, 2022 at 7:31 pm

California does what it always does. It overregulates EVERYTHING!! CA worries so much about its own bottom line that it loses site of a plan for initial growth which later is supposed to thrive.

  43. brickman291 on May 15, 2022 at 7:31 pm

You can cut the taxes but if you don’t allow all to have a shot to participate in the legal market it’ll just be a race to the bottom. Allow small mom and pop to sell to dispensaries so they don’t need to look for customers. Have reasonable testing for small growers

  44. Michael Neumeyer on May 15, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Ramirez pallet full of pot EBT welfare truck stealing Liars. Ephesians 5:11. Cartels taking over

  45. A Cook on May 15, 2022 at 7:33 pm

I don’t believe that growers are using bad pesticides on their crops. They want to scare people. The black market will not go away. They are taxing everyone to death.

  46. 88rollins on May 15, 2022 at 7:33 pm

Wait…what? California government raising taxes too high for a legitimate business to operate?!
    I’m shocked.

Just keeping voting those same liberal morons back into office year after year and then be surprised when your taxes are sky high.
