Cannabis Extraction Process in Detail | Discover Marijuana

In today’s video, Blake and Tim go into the cannabis extraction process in detail. How a product is extracted from the plant will greatly affect both the potency and quality of the medicine you are getting.

Tim, a QMP in Utah and founder of https://utahmarijuana.org, often recommends CBD for beginners in the program as a way to ease into cannabis use. A product where CBD and THC are working together to maintain balance in the endocannabinoid system can be just the ticket for certain conditions.

Blake, Chief Scientific Officer of https://zionmedicinal.com, a Utah CBD and cannabis company, has dedicated much of his life to marijuana research and discovering how marijuana works due to personal motivation with his daughter’s seizure disorder. In addition to teaching us all about CBD and CBD dosage, watch as Blake touches on the specific cannabinoids that cause some of the benefits of marijuana, as well as marijuana side effects.

Tim will handle things from a provider standpoint. In his clinic, KindlyMD, Tim has recommended Medical Marijuana to countless patients this year – remember that in Utah, marijuana has only recently been legalized for medical use. Tim will educate patients daily on how to use marijuana and what to expect when marijuana effects kick in.

  5. @kornshadow097 on June 22, 2024 at 10:38 am

I’ve seen plenty of outdated charts about thc decarb. Anyone know of a steady temp and timing for peak thc conversion?

I’ve seen 230,240,293f all with different times and consistencies.

  11. @georgekeiaho649 on June 22, 2024 at 10:46 am

When decarboxylating what temps are good to use? And how many ML to decarboxylate at one time. Should I use a pan for more surface area? Thank you for the video, helps a great deal.

  12. @giantkilla_ on June 22, 2024 at 10:47 am

Can you decarb and then add the alcohol? Another question: What if you decarbed your product them infused some mct oil and tried the mct oil and there’s no effect? Maybe the decarb process wasn’t long enough. How can you decarb your product in MCT Oil?

  13. @cheryldelorfano9530 on June 22, 2024 at 10:47 am

That’s because to building up recovery is by letting it set by itself to room temperature

  14. @danielcardona9736 on June 22, 2024 at 10:49 am

I did once on the lab an extraction of cannabis using steam distillation and then a solvent extraction using hexane. And it’s true, the yield was absolutely trash, was something like 2%

Do you need an apprentice? Also, are you able to add the finished 98% product to topical rubs and will it be effective on aches and pains or is it not worth using it in this manner?

So when I make My brownies from a mix and add raw flower to the mix, Is this decarboxalisation or extraction or both? Instructions are to heat at 325f for 45 min. I eat 1/2 of one and get a quite nice effect. I use purchased flower from the dispensaries. The only flame involved is a gas oven! Legal?

Why bother with extraction when you can make paste the only non-extract concentrate, which is better than any extract?

Do the buds look kinda pale? But most important basically no smell flavour or effect

When you mention coconut oil MCT. Is that the only coconut oil that is effective? I’ve always used the organic coconut out that gets solid when cold. Is it equally effective at processing cannabis? Or extracting the same amount as the MCT?
