Can you use aluminum downspouts or gutters
Are you adding any nutrients to the water?
I got to say, I’ve watched a ton of aquaponics videos. In fact I’m making a playlist called Gardening. But this is the first I’ve seen of the pool noodles method, and it is brilliant! Thanks much.
New Subscriber here! Loving the pool noodle idea!
I love this channel. I have so many to go container nurseries, right now. And all for free. I do have an indoor Gardyn machine, and they want $69 for a plastic box. Ridiculous!
What is the pool noodles put into? How did u make the base?
what are the dimensions of these downspouts? the one in my local hardware store is 100mm x 55mm would that work?
what do you do with the old water or do you just keep adding more mater with nutrients added?
Question…could use compost tea for a nutrient solution?
Very well done thank you for the help! I’m interested in this just don’t know how to get started just want to get my feet wet !
What is the container for the solution made from?
Thanks for the great video, OMG Awesome!! sorry kids no pool noodles for you this summer !!
This is awesome! Where do you get the white container from?
Where do you get the white stuff you put the foam in?
Beautifully simple.
I’m shortly going to be putting together a dig nft system on a garden wall.
This method will save me money on clay pebbles and net pots.
Looks like it takes away any concern of pot depth as well as you can easily raise or lower noodle.
Superb idea.
I’m also thinking I could use pipe insulation as that’s available in most diy stores.
Thanks from the UK👍🏻
What is that white box that you are using?
What is the nutrient solution you used??
You saved me…thaaaank you
do roots have to be in an obscure container or can I use a large see through plastic bottle?
Air stone, on a fish tank hose that sticks out of the side a bit. Go around with a hand held bike pump and give it a few pumps every other day, u just got me thinking about aeration
about what ratio of bleach to water do you use for sanitizing the noodles and inside of the downspouts?
hi thank you, this is mostly clear…but he fertiliser, can you please let us know about which fertiliser and how to make your own cheap fertilizer
Where do I buy the grow solution or do you make it?
How do I make them smaller to fit without squeezing the plant?
Hmmm, my 1st time watching this. Not sure i understand. No dirt?
Just investigating getting into Hydroponics Mike. Loved the pool noodle idea. I’m a cheap sob!!! LOL! Newly subscribed. Thanks for sharing sir! I look forward to learning more from you. I’ll be checking out your other releases as time permits.🛶😃
What do you put on water sir?
My first time visiting your channel, so I’ve got some questions. It looks like the horizontal white holder for the pool noodle pucks is downspout pipe. Since you emptied the old stuff, what holds solution inside? It seemed both ends were open.
Dude you’re awesome
How do you start the micro greens.
How did you make the container tho? It looks like a rain gutter
can i use this method on hydrangeas?
Omg brilliant! I want to try this now
What’s in your solution?
Hi what’s the safety quality of swimming noodle pvc (plastic) for using in edible environment?
Thank you but can u se seeds in this?
Hi. This is fantastic. #1. Do you have a video on making the downspout base & #2. Is it possible to do this indoors during the winter? I live in Zone 7 in central DE…thanks Bunches
Pool noodles up to $5 now 😅😏
Hey you think any chemicals from the pool noodle wouls tranfer into the plants this way.
What’s the nutrient solution.?
Very cool
HI – great video… how do you close the ends of the downspout you are putting the pool noodle into?
Well i started some seedlings and transplanted them into noodles too early. Decided to buy some bigger plants at the store and cleaned off the dirt on their roots, they are doing well. Dealt with algae this week, now to make containers less see through, btw… Artist Latex paint is not opaque enough! Yes, i am havi g fun! Thanks for your YT channel.
What is the white device you are putting the pool noodle in?
What is this nutrient solution?
Gracias por la informacion, exitos!
What is the nutrient solution you used??
Great video Im no expert but one thing I do in my greenhouse is to limit my harvesting of leafy greens per plant and hardly ever have to replant. As long as I leave a few leaves on each plant they come back again and again it seems like the more I do this the quicker and thicker they grow. I’m thinking it is like when you prune a tomato and pinch out the suckers the plant reacts like it’s life depends upon growing replacement leaves quicker and fuller to improve it’s chances to survive. I like the pool toy idea, I have been using foam from fabric store cut into square pac man 1" cubes and by opening pac mans mouth I can tuck my seedlings in allowing the rooots to reach out to the nutrient level, As I also use the Kratkie Method with out pumps per say. Im useing fish for my nutrients and it is like you say set it and forget it till harvest time. Which like I said before with my harvesting methods has been for a few years now. I only lost crop and had to reset ounce due to weather snap that my passive system couldn’t keep up with but I am in the process of adding a system of what I think are called dutch heaters where you take a can with a candle in it and place a clay pot over it so that air can move through it and it heats quit nicely from my experiments with them so far. Sorry for my long winded ness but hydroponics are my favorite since I found this method. Well keep the faith and you’r green thumb growing !
whats the thing on the bottom called
What are the things that hold the water? Do you sell them?
