I was just talking to my buddy about how what we’re doing isn’t breeding, it’s artificial selection. Breeding is what the Germans did with dogs. You got Dachshund or “badger hounds” which are small enough to fit into a hole that they dug with their paws bred to be shovels. And not only that, but have a bite force of 100-200 PSI which is smaller but comparable to larger dogs. Afterall, they needed enough bite force to kill a badger! Then you have the Doberman. Alert, intimidating, but gentle. Why? You don’t want your dog to get shot by an intruder. If a dog simply is aware of an intruder, makes a lot of noise and stays away from harm you have a great solution for theft deterrent that you won’t have to replace. Dobermans are even bred to run around an intruder and follow them, evading their touch. You will notice this if you’ve been around Dobermans when someone new arrives. They will get seemingly very excited but won’t let the person touch them until they sit down and are officially not an intruder.

If Colin had a podcast or something explaining where his breeding is at and where it’s going I feel like he’d have way more sales… I love ethos but not gonna lie his descriptions on his strain are off putting.. for someone that sees so many phenos and knows what phenos his strains put out there’s little to no knowledge on his descriptions… gotta look for videos like this and hope he mentions his strains/breeding

I’ve got a bud growing out of the center of a fan leaf this grow. If I was to clone that branch or pollinate that specific flower, what are the chances the seeds produced contain similar traits?
I trust this science as much as I trust medical science these days. Imo. Breeding is going towards commercial qualities. A bunch of boring indicas. Same couple strains with a different name

Crab shell dust and nettle tea spray and soil feed helps combat pm and makes the plant more able to fend off pests.😊
I grew a pack of Ethos seeds. No herms and were almost identical plants. Very solid genetics I love the pollen as a freebie with seeds. Very smart!! DGC fuckin rocks!!

I had to get away from ethos. Loved the genetics but way too many herms . I’ve been growing for over 30 years and started growing ethos 3 years ago , my first run was good but my last one of the Wrankr2 Hermed so bad that it looked half male half female . I know fems are more prone to it but there is no way these are stable genetics
Terpene Science is something I’ve been keeping track of and interested in for a while now. writing down Terpenes found and effects . Using thca and adding cannabis terps (real are extremely hard to find) experience the different( VOC’s )terps in effects recording that data ect
You wanna know about autos, ask about Tier 2 autos from Twenty20 Mendocino. Tier 2 autos have 75% vs just 50% of the photo donor. They take 2 years to do correctly.
