Day 73 Flowering – Hindu Skunk, White Widow – DWC, 400hps + 250mh, 2' x 3' Scrog
Hey everyone… plants are taking forever. Hope to cut at least one plant down in the next few days. Trichomes are 90% coudy with some clear and amber here and there. Hairs are mostly starting to turn amber/ orange.
The white widow is the plant with all the light yellow leaves.
@radiorodley Not sure what you are talking about. Gravity doesn’t ruin bud. I grow for myself, so taste and high is important to me. It doesn’t contaminate bud, that’s just rediculous. You don’t have to beleive me, I’m guessing you are pretty stuck on your opinion, but it i just that an opinion. And in my opinion gravity does nothing other than make bud denser, heavier, and higher in quantity. Plus it lets me use less of my nutrients. I will never grow without it.
@scrogking what did u get out of yr room, what lights?
So did using both hps an mh lights make a yield difference rather then just using an hps because thats looking really good for a 400w hps..
@nexo2011 I average 12 oz from my grows so far. It’s in DWC or flooded tubes.

@abcaston Don’t know the wet weight. The dry was: 9.7 oz Hindu Skunk and 1.5 oz White Widow.
Also got 6 or 7 grams of hash from the trim. it was yummy.
@secondtimesthecharm Yeah… they are only above the screen. I picked everything below the screen off during veg and early 12/12.

It depends what week in the flowering stage you are in. It could be ok… but be really careful. If you use too much you could really mess up your plants. If you use it… use a tiny bit of it at first to make sure you don’t do anything bad.
Google whatever product you are going to use and see how other people use it. Don’t just go by whats on the bottle.
@nexo2011 The extra light definitely added weight. 650 always better than 400. However, I would have gotten more weight with a 250 HPS instead of MH. What I have seen to be true is that HPS gives fatter, heavier buds, while MH gives smaller, but more resinous, better looking buds. If I was growing only for myself and didn’t care about money at all, I would flower under only MH as they give off such nice buds. But I am thinking about money and like the extra weight from HPS.

looks like you over fertilized ..hence the yellow.. if its TOO hot at the plant you may have stunted the optimum chystal percentage..for a small space you have to be careful of heat.. I know you have a termostat, but a digi heat scope would probably do you some good…ebay CHEEP…or kijiji

@ALOC112 Biggest tip I can give you is to join an online community to learn and get help. Thcfarmer is one of the biggest. I personally belong to Rollitup (username: jigfresh). Join anyone you like the best and read, read, read. I read for about 3 months before starting on anything.

I got little over 11 ounces dry. 9.5 Hindu Skunk and about 1.7 White widow. Also 6 grams of hash.
The white widow turned out like this. Even though the leaves are yellow, it was still full of nutrients… smoked horribly. Pretty much a loss. I will never grow two different strains in the same tank again… I pretty much had to sacrifice the WW to make the 5 Hindu Skunks happy.
Oh well…. I was very very happy for my first grow.

@hektik8625 This setup had a water pump in the bottom of the rez hooked to an outlet near the top. When I wanted to drain it, I just plugged the pump in and hooked a hose to the outlet on the outside. Would drain pretty completely. Later I switched to an outlet on the bottom of the rez with a valve on the outside. Then I would open the valve and let gravity drain the water. Now I use a water pump again in my flooded tube setup. I try to run my ppms around 800-900 these days.

@Tripo1iSamson What I think happened was I used this sweetener stuff, with molasses and shit in it. It plugged up the airstones, so the girls were just sitting in water with no oxygen to the roots. I beleive that they didn’t mature during that time, which was anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. I’m pretty sure that’s why it took so fucking long. The smoke turned out good… but that’s some sativa flower time and this was strait indica. Beginners mistake, no more sweetener in a hydro grow. oops.

@ColeFried81 It is organic. Look it up. Humboldt County’s Own – Gravity. They call it a flower hardener. Adds weight and density. Also supposed to knock a couple days off your maturation time. It’s made of sea kelp and other stuff.

@BdizzleFaReal its suprisingly not that expensive to do this. the biggest initial cost is your bulbs and ballast. after that its just paying your electric bill. choose the technique that is easiest for you and make sure to use the right lights for the amount of area youre trying to grow in. for the setup shown here, i probably wouldnt go bigger tha 400w MH for veg and 600w HPS for flowering. peace out!
@MrPeanutBailey it was a tough wait especially because I was still buying my weed. Believe that there were a few tester buds being smoked early. Now the hardest thing to wait for is starting the next grow. Have a good weekend bud.

@javadog420 I love the gravity. And most of my friends do too. I use it around 3 weeks left till the chop. I use 2 ml/ gal and I cut my nutes to 20% of what I was using. I run it for about a week… then I go to strait water untill harvest. It really packs on the weight and most of my stuff is pretty dense.
How do u change that res, and at what ppm,s

@radiorodley again, I don’t know what you are talking about with bone dry crispy weed. What does gravity have to do with drying and curing? I don’t use a carbon filter. I cure for 30 days at least. Has nothing to do with using gravity. Doen’t really make sense to me. Sucks uk weed sucks, but it has nothing to do with gravity. I think you are mistaking it for something else or something.
@DTurbomr2 I just use the Dutch Master feeding schedule on their website for the most part. I don’t really go above 1200 ppms. I use RO water, not sure if it’s diffrent with tap. I also use gravity 4 weeks before harvest and when using I cut the nutes in half. I do that for a week. Bump the nutes up to 60% for another week… maybe just 50%. Then I flush for the last two weeks. Around 100 ppms. Just some additives I use, no actual nutrients then.
