Thats what keeps from trying hydro/DWC it’s so easy for something to pop up wrong from what I’ve seen

pH goes up, EC goes down = Plants are feeding. Potentially raise nutrient levels.

pH goes down, EC goes up = Plants are putting nutrient into the water rather than taking them out. Nutrient levels are too high.

pH stays stable, EC levels stay stable = Equilibrium. Plants are taking equal parts nutrients and water. Maximum growth is occurring.

    Water level looks too high

Hello there from B.C. Just a thought, I have seen plastic containers become acidic from long exposure to low pH. Worked in water treatment for a pulp mill. Even high end food grade was affected. Green the planet.

I’m in a grow right now where Im in DWC 10 inch net pot 4 inch rock wool cube 2 way air pump/air stone and using best bud nutrients from Beanstalk and distilled water My ph has been all over the place but I also don’t have great ph equipment so who know could be faulty equipment but my ph starts off in the 5.5 range and drops and fluxes up and down into the 4 range with week or so but my strain(unknown bag seed) thought to be black widow is healthy and tricome production is great maybe your genetics are finicky and prefer more stable PH I recommend getting a nutrient line that has a ph buffer and used distilled water seem to be working for mine although I do feel if I was dial in to a constant range 5.5-6.5 she have bigger bud but for a bag seed she is thriving good luck to ya

I use silica for ph up, it is way more stable than potassium hydroxide.

It’s likely not what’s causing your main problem if you’re having the same issues in drain-to-waste but I’ve spotted something in your setup that is definitely detrimental to your overall results. Your water level is too high. The net pot looks like it’s completely submersed in water. You should have at least three, four centimetres of space between the water and the bottom of the net cup so that your roots don’t drown. Try it. It might just make all the difference.

Same issues I bought everything new from my.local shop mostly have change water every 2nd day had to get something for micro bacteria called hygozyme seems to be helping but I can’t understand why ph jumps to over 7ph from 5.5to5.8 and I’m only run ING 6l water roots look healthy. But my God it’s struggle haha

What are you using to adjust your ph

I lost almost all of my plants to root rot this year, and I used H2O2 daily on them. I thought I had most licked but no go. The thing is my pH never ever went down it always went up, and I mean up in an hour or two to set it at 5.8, and by the next day be at 6.7-7.5. Everything I have watched, or read says root rot makes the pH go down, so I am stumped.

Was it the cleaning issue? Did you notice a difference after the clean? My dumbass used a bong cleaner instead of bleach. I figured if it worked on that it may work on the buckets. Fuuuck. Never substitute for bleach. Next water change I’m bleaching eeeeverything…..
