Defining “Social Equity” & Providing Solutions in the Cannabis Industry
Dentons’ Global Cannabis Practice, along with co-hosts, Simply Pure and Spur Bridges hosted a discussion, which began with business owners who defined social equity and shared their experiences, challenges, and insight on building their businesses in a constantly changing industry. The second half of the discussion touched upon developing solutions to address social equity issues raised, now and moving forward.
So if your not black is there a problem for the rest of us that need help?
Feeling really frustrated by this!
Hate to be so blunt but like she says "people need to hear it."
If we don’t fit in that box, there’s a lot of us outside that box that grew up poor and could need help as well!!
I really think that people ignore that is REGULAR white Folk don’t have it like that. I have never had any family that was doing ANY better than me who could lend me ANY Money. I fought for my country and had access to a VA loan that any vet (white black etc) has access to. So if a "REGULAR" WHITE man wants to enter the cannabis industry or get access to government contracts in the trucking industry (my current industry) I’m at a disadvantage because the "minority" get access to social platforms and government programs that I can NEVER GET. DOES THAT sound like a racist platform? Does that go against everything that Minorites fight for?? Just curious
