Thank you for this Bro!! 💯 Good work lately on these clips.
Yup, I have people on weed forums arguing with me that organic soil medium does not require the pH of your water to be adjusted. I followed this myth when I first started growing and had terrible results. My tap water sits at 8.4 pH and I bring it down to 6.2 – 6.4 range.
Yes knowing your ph level is important. However, if your living soil is built correctly, it will self regulate. My living soil beds remain at 6.5ph throughout each cycle and my RO fluctuates between 7.8-8.9. I never add anything to the water for ph balancing.
This is such a bro-science myth.
You need to check pH of soil.
You cannot flood your beds with 9 pH tap water (what I have here near the big lake), i have to use citric acid powder (from fruit, used for gummy bears etc) to lower my pH to 6.
There is a zone which minerals and microbes will not go into, and 9 is that zone. If i compared 9 pH to 6 pH, not a single one of you would touch the 9pH flower in my beds… ha
good info especially on guidance for PH numbers 😎
This man contradicting everything Jeremy at BAS says. Lol. Need a debate between them.
So we’re just gonna pretend the plant doesn’t adjust its ph at the root tip through the Rizophagy( i know i spelled it wrong) cycle? Our kidneys adjust ph thru the release of salts to the bladder like plants do with their exudates. My ph out the tap is 8.6 pour it in plants are fine …
So many people are saying you can put any pH water in living soil lately… this has to stop.
I am going to make sure it stops, believe me, I will be correcting every person who claims otherwise.
For my outdoor Garden I just use the water hose but I have a very very very large medium for my garden outdoor it has lots of worms and all kinds of crazy stuff so I imagine the water I give it is fine because everything breaks it down now for medicinal purposes no I’m going to pH it
Ima organic grower and will never put a hi or low ph water into my plants its just stupid to think that u could put acid on your plants and it still thrive
Doesn’t the microbiology change the pH to whatever it needs to be in the micro rhizosphere
I’ve been growing for a year now in ffof and use rain water. I’ve never one time pH it. All my plants have been big and healthy with normal size harvest every single time.
Lmao. Great in bro. I new the comments would blow up on this one. Petty serious topic,do what works for u and you only. So many variables to say ….
I’ve been growing in living soil for 2 years now and not once have I adjusted the pH of my water…don’t really know what it is to be honest, we have fresh spring water. And all of my plants have produced beyond my expectations 🤷🏻♂️
The last two grows I have had nutrient uptake issues. I haven’t been able to figure out why but yesterday I measured my soil PH and it’s around 8.2. I’m fully organic and now I’m going to adjust the soil PH to see if that fixes it. I’ve been doing some research on the topic and it seems that the only people that believes it does not matter if it’s organic is the people in our community. Just about every other channel that’s growing things outside or potted ornamental plants say it is important and the ph absolutely matter. I guess I’ll know if it matters in my garden for sure real soon.
💚👍
Lol. Fully water only organic here. Never ph.
I think this is a common misconception . Yes you SHOULD pH your water as in take the time to get an accurate measurement and idea of what your pH is . If you have a ridiculously high or low pH you might want to consider adjusting it . BUT if you are within a range of 5.8-7 I wouldn’t bother adjusting it at all in living soil just to get it “ right at 6.2” especially in large pots or a bed . There’s no real reason IMO . If your pH is extremely alkaline or acidic thats another story . Barely out of range in living soil won’t hurt all that much
My Ph is between 8.5 n 9 out of my well. My plants love it. I get higher yields on this property than I’ve ever got in my life. Illinois Valley in Southern Oregon
