DWC Growing w/ New York John – Just One Thing – w/ Chad Westport : Spider Farmer G8600 Grow Light

Just one thing is a series aimed at helping new growers get a better grip on the big picture. Instead of approaching the growing process with one big brushstroke of paint, in 5 to 10 minutes I’ll quickly discuss just one topic with experienced growers, and help you get a deeper understanding of the multiple pieces that make up the growing process. This series aims to educate people on the many potentials and pitfalls of home cultivation.

Todays guest is New York John from Indoor Promised Land. He’s always got some phenomenal plants sitting behind him and when I asked him about his secret, he said, DWC. So, he is here to run us through what DWC is, how it works and some of the things to consider if looking to go the DWC route.

That is the topic up for discussion today. Thank you for tuning in, expect many more of these great videos coming soon and don’t forget to check out the playlist. So, what is your “Just One Thing? Please let us know in the comment section!

I did RDWC for a few runs. I loved it but I could not keep my water temps low enough so had to give it up. Was causing way to many issues. Getting ready to start a run with buckets from "thebucketcompay" and coco mix.

Great show and topic, i switched to buckets about a year ago and it was a massive increase in yeilds and decrease in flower to harvest time. It is very easy once you have the gear. I also changed my water weekly and cleaned my buckets, stones, etc for the first 2 rounds. Now i only open my buckets to replenish after letting them get down to about 3/4 of a gallon in the bucket. I refill them on Sunday to about 1" below the basket with GH dry, once fully veged and in flower it normally requires a top off mid-week. Sunday gets the GH/shock, and Wednesday gets GH/biology. i clean the buckets, stones, and hydroton after harvest with shock first and hydrogen peroxide second and let it all get dry for a couple of weeks in the dark under air flow and dehumidifiers. Its too expensive for me to run them in the summer, this year i will do soil for my summer runs, and hydro the other times of the year.
