Not once in the entire series was there a mention of pH. Are you not concerned? Also, water temp. ๐Ÿค”

Thanks so much for your hard work with this series Matt. You helped me to have a successful first dwc grow. The thing about growing is that pretty much everyone is gonna have a different experience with differing problems. Room temp, humidity, location, water are all going to play a part and we have to figure those out as they happen. But you’re getting into just enough of the theory so people know WHY you do some of what you do and that’s a huge help. Thanks for sharing the wisdom.

Nice !! Monster stocks I hope I can even come close to that.

  8. -TheGrow420- on May 25, 2022 at 7:43 am

Nice grow bro RDWC is the answer that’s all i use and its so much easier flushing it out at the reservoir or control bucket. I put a tee after the recirculating pump with a valve to direct the flow out to the waste ! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’ฏ

HYDROBUCKET ON AMAZON OR VISIONARYHYDRO….the bucket design allows us to make water changes and adding nutrients and check ppm/ph without having to lift the lids…….do yourself a favor and check them out if you are planning on going to dwc or changing your system out…….just my thoughts……THANKS FOR THE GREAT VIDEOS Ruffster

nice series of clips on dwc,
you could use a 50ml syringe to mix nutrients, lot less mess than measuring cups etc.
Pour some nutes into some plastic cups-mark each cup A & B, use syringe to draw nutes up accurately.
Really easy sytem, with no wastage or spills ๐Ÿ™‚

You could also benefit greatly by switching to black airlines & increasing airflow to each bucket, by adding a 2nd airstone, more bubbles, less troubles…
Suggest the large round airstones x 2 per bucket, these are available easily & aren’t costly via ebay etc.
2 of these will really make that water boil hard like it should be..

Have a look at a Hailea AC 9270 Pump.

Amazing unit with 10 outlets & a manifold to direct air to airlines required.
Quieter than most 4-6 outlet aquarium pumps.
Pump REALLY needs to be positioned outside the grow tent, lot cooler air than sucking in warm tent air & pushing that down each airline.

Also hang a yellow insect strip inside tent, if you see one single small fungus gnat on this strip.
Then you can be certain things could slide downhill fast with a fungus gnat invasion.
These lil darlings lay their eggs on the clay media and then have their offspring travel down into the succulent new root system.
Once here they’ll devour roots quicker than they can grow, causing all sorts of setbacks when in veg growth.
Proprietary treatments are easily available to wage war on these nasty critters that thrive in a dwc environment if not picked up on early..

Oh & get into scrog, snap n train these things hard in veg & get em under a screen before flipping them.
    More tips more zips..

It’s the little things that help keep the band aids & headaches at bay, trust me.

The way you mix your nutrients is counterproductive. Adding all the nutrients to a single beaker with a small amount of water will cause massive fluctuations in the pH of that solution, this can cause nutrients to precipitate out of solution and become far less useful if not useless to the plants. Mix all nutrients in seperate beakers and then add each one to a larger reservoir testing the pH after each addition. Then just fill your buckets from the reservoir.

Do you clean your dwc system every week or just change your nutrients?

  22. ken hirai on May 25, 2022 at 7:58 am

Why you have to flush ur plants every 2 weeks?

  23. Alan Roberts on May 25, 2022 at 7:58 am

for about 20.00$ I put a submersible water pump that makes flushing easy.

  25. I Own Me - You Own You on May 25, 2022 at 8:00 am

3:07 I only grow in soil, but doesn’t that cloudiness mean you just locked out a bunch of nutrients? When mixing nutes for soil you have to do it in a specific order and if you don’t wait for things to mix in properly the solution will turn cloudy which means it’s no longer of any use to the plants. That’s not the same for DWC?

  26. ScottO on May 25, 2022 at 8:00 am

Hey there. I’m looking at an SP250 for my 4×2 tent. It’s been 10 months since you got yours and was wondering what you thought of It now you’ve had time with It? Cheers.

  31. Byron Spears on May 25, 2022 at 8:05 am

Ok, im a first timer trying to study the complete process of DWC cannabis growth. I notice you didn’t "top off" your plants, but you did trim from the bottom. My question is, when is the best time to "top off" or "trim" a cannabis plant, from your experience?
    Thank you.
Your answer would gladly be appreciated.

after watching many hours of potted grow videos, hydroponic plants look girthy/healthier. Any difference in bud/smoke?

๐Ÿ†”๏ธ๐Ÿ”ž&๐Ÿ‘if you weren’t a sponsor grower, what true knowledge would you share for newbies to ogs..

I was taught along time ago soil is for taste and personal..hydro is for cash..just ask any one of the recreational states. 98% is hydro in legal states.i was reading comments and some think its expensive to grow.i guess they just haven’t come across the right channels.your plants looked great.

  40. James Cain on May 25, 2022 at 8:19 am

I do one res change in a 20 gal tote a week-10 days. I dump 5gals in and mix it up a day or two in advance. After adding nutes, I PH. Before using I Ph test again and adjust as needed then use a water transfering pump to drain the res and then I slowly transfer the new nutrient water in. Every other day I’ll feed 1gal of 1/5th the amount of nutrients as it drinks or needs it, also mixing it advance. I keep multiple 5 gal bpa-free containers and mix these all up in advance so it’s a breeze.

Water Pump + Air Pump, 2 large air stones per 20gal tote. Water pump to drip feed the roots.

Can you make a video of making an infused lasagna and a cannabis infused wine and cannabis tea.

  45. corys left toe on May 25, 2022 at 8:25 am

Your buds do look nice, but not mixing your solution in between adding nutrients is bad practice and bad advice for your viewers.

  46. Matt K on May 25, 2022 at 8:26 am

How high did you have your light above the plants in veg and flower? Thanks for the videos.

  48. Anonymous City on May 25, 2022 at 8:27 am

I see you in the video opening your tent during the Dark cycle and the sunlight from your room is shining onto the plants. Thats a very very bad practice. Dark times should remain 100% Dark, you should only work in the tent during the light on cycle or you risk many many issues.

  49. Jeffrey Blouin on May 25, 2022 at 8:31 am

Would it be easier to have 2 buckets per plant and just swap when itโ€™s time to change water , ultimately the setup with a holding tank is the way to go . This way seems like a ton of work but thatโ€™s half the fun great series

  50. lifestyle renovations on May 25, 2022 at 8:31 am

hey about how many weeks was the entire grow?
