DWC root rot solutions

I forgot to mention I started both my buckets using H2o2 29% and still got root rot it did not prevent or clean up the rot. The h2o2 seems to hold it back a bit but not a preventative or cure in my situation.

Save you money and make better voodoo by making a worm casting tea and add some fungi.

Great video looks dope! I’m making my switch to hydro

  5. Esk8 Spirit on November 6, 2022 at 5:30 pm

H2O2 will do absolutely nothing with pythium or root rot, the only way is microbes and the only way and best way I know is Voodoo juice and Piranha from Advanced Nutrients. Best stuff ever.

Btw in addition to my three month issue my res stay about 66 so this def is not a temp issue.

  9. RedFox Tactical on November 6, 2022 at 5:32 pm

Absolutely nothing was working for me with this white slime. Sterile rez, H2O2, Wiltguard, UC Roots, ect ect ect. This finally did it. Tried the Voodoo juice (was already using AN Micro, Grow, and Bloom) and it literally ate the slime. Massive explosion of white roots already and everything is happy and healthy. Thanks for the help!

Great video bro I’m dealing with the same problem . My temp is 67-68 degrees in the water . And I’m getting this black slim . So I have to put bacteria in water to eat that shit up

  11. bev head on November 6, 2022 at 5:34 pm

h202 doesn’t have micro organisms that colonize around the roots and eat the fungus.
voodoo juice is cool, but expensive. try actinovate.
upping the amount of phosphorous helps fight fungus too.

  12. Anthony Davis on November 6, 2022 at 5:37 pm

Freeze water bottles and put the bottles in buckets to keep the temperature down.

  13. Kaneh Bosm on November 6, 2022 at 5:38 pm

    Voodoo Juice..My Man…Thank You..getting some Tomorrow💯👍😎

  14. Edmond Babakhanyan on November 6, 2022 at 5:38 pm

Bro, you were using that h202 at a low ml/g, you could ramp it up all the way to 8-15 mils and still be ok, and instead of voodoo juice, check out hydroguard

  15. GamerFeelz on November 6, 2022 at 5:43 pm

Growers, use Hydroguard and kill root rot and prevent it.. quit messing around h202…. kill it.. destroy it.. quit dealing with it..

  16. Dominic smet on November 6, 2022 at 5:43 pm

    i know this is an old vid, but it’s clearly something wich can’t be stated enough. T E M P E R A T U R E

  17. Phlop Alopagus on November 6, 2022 at 5:43 pm

H2o2 is your first blow then 24 to 48 hours later get those benes in there to colonize the roots and starve out the enemy. Nuke them then send in the troops.

The best thing to do when growing in hydro or dwc for your water is to change it every week and to keep it cool that helps the plant from getting root rot and with a ph of 6.0 to 6.5 and ppm anywhere from 800-1100 ppm i also put some ice cubes if the water gets warm that helps too

  21. Brett Arsenault on November 6, 2022 at 5:53 pm

how hot is that room….my plants drink as much in 2 weeks that as yours do in one day.Mine are much bigger.Wtf?

    thanks new zealand.

  28. Valerie Sanchez on November 6, 2022 at 6:05 pm

    Had root rot slime.
Peroxide kept away the green algae, but added about 1-2 drops of 6% bleach to each gallon of water.
    Reapplied every 2-3 days.
    Super clean water.

  29. Jmoonshine42 on November 6, 2022 at 6:06 pm

I had root rot and thought my plants were done for and i noticed while pulling them out of the bucket that there was new roots starting out of the bottom of the net pot so i decided to do an experiment. I cut off all the rotten roots that I could while leaving the new ones and my plants about a 2 months old from cloning they were about 2ft tall and they came back to life and are thriving now. My problem was that I went on vacation and my ac had shut off and my room was like 112°f and my water almost 100°.

Never use transparant tubing, light will travel down it like fibre optic

  31. jglassman1122 on November 6, 2022 at 6:08 pm

    H202 will kill voodoo juice

  32. lance P on November 6, 2022 at 6:09 pm

  33. Tony Test on November 6, 2022 at 6:10 pm

Dude you don’t need that stuff you were having heat issues that’s why caused the slime😚trush me I’m going through it now

  34. Tory Fletcher on November 6, 2022 at 6:10 pm

nothing works better properly ph water

  35. DWC WEEDKING on November 6, 2022 at 6:10 pm

rot root pythium is a systemic problem you have to fight it systematically or else it will always be in the plant and you will get diminishing yields and can still be passed on to other. will release spores into the room and in infect everything …voodoo juice will not get rid of it

  36. Michael Banks on November 6, 2022 at 6:13 pm

You said on the video; you used the voodoo juice in early veg, so i just wanted to know  is it late or early stage

  37. whatsmy nameagain777 on November 6, 2022 at 6:15 pm

Do you change the whole water on voodoo juice one? Thought u had to change water every 7 days

  38. travis. .tripp on November 6, 2022 at 6:18 pm

quick question… did you ever change out your water, or, did you only use voodoo juice the first two weeks while leaving the water as is with the voodoo juice brewing the whole time? I didn’t catch the time frame or how you applied it very clearly. I just bought the juice and this is my first week using it thanks to your vid. any help would be great because I just beat this serious root slime problem, (my first grow btw….) and things are looking completely turned around…. but I don’t want to over do the juice or continue using it if that will cause damage. i already do res change outs every week but with this killer voodoo juice is great, and i wouldn’t be surprised if it kept a healthy environment even without res changes

  39. Graeme Couch on November 6, 2022 at 6:19 pm

Cover your lava rocks with paper to stop light getting into solution !
Common problem that causes Pythium ! I treat mine with CX Hydroponics Wilt Guard !

  40. Kevin Keeland on November 6, 2022 at 6:20 pm

The bacteria in Voodoo Juice can be found for SUPER cheap if you buy mycogrow from fungi.com it also has the same bacteria as "Tarantula Liquid" and "Pirhana" just a million times cheaper!  Just mix it with a small bottle with water then poor it into your res, you don’t much because the bacterias are breeding. Props, your plants look great. http://www.fungi.com/product-detail/product/mycogrow-soluble-1-oz.html

  41. Nick Mac on November 6, 2022 at 6:22 pm

I’m running 4 pots and at 2.5 gallons but according to bottle that would be 18 ml which seems like a whole lot

  42. telballs420 on November 6, 2022 at 6:23 pm

Spray the outside of you buckets white give them a rub first with wire wool to help the paint stick, make sure the spray paint is suitable for plastic! Or use white plastic and rap the buckets this will help reflect the light, heart! Also keep some bottles of water in the freezer if temp get up drop them in!! Peace out!!

  43. R Perez on November 6, 2022 at 6:23 pm

what temp was your res at? my res sits at about 72. i already ordered voodoo juice just because of your video. appreciate the upload and quality info

  44. DWC WEEDKING on November 6, 2022 at 6:23 pm

you have to use more and more h2o2 ….6 or 7 ml a gallon or maybe even more because the h2o2 is geting used up fighting the Pathogen so probably within 30 minutes or less all of the h2o2 is gone out of the water and then all of the root rot that did not get killed will just start re growing …you have to use massive doses of h2o2 and dose often to get it controllable Then you can use residual amounts of h2o2 to help keep it away …..so let’s say the h2o2 has a bunch of soldiers and the roots rot has a bunch of soldiers and the soldiers can only kill one soldier (1death for 1death). so you’re adding fifty thousand soldiers of h2o2 but the root rot already has 1 million soldiers in the water  therefore you will only kill fifty thousand of them and the rest will be there to regrow more soldiers you have to attack them aggressively when you are trying to use h2o2 to get rid of it

Never go dwc I’ve finally learned my lesson
