This is what we call "woke". Simply being aware of people’s differences can make it much easier to accept them as one of us instead of ridiculing and condemning.

I was diagnosed with TS when i was 7 and have struggled all my life, i’m 45 now. I’ve been ridiculed and embarrassed for most of my life and at times humiliated, but I don’t hold it against anyone for how I’ve been treated, I’m just different and I believe that makes people afraid. Sadly there is no cure and I’m not sure there ever will be, but you can still have a life regardless of what your struggles are.

I’ve seen a couple stories where people didn’t even get diagnosed tol they were adults. imagine how bad those guys probably had it as they were repeatedly told growing up they were problematic

Enlightenment over shaming. Would be nice if humans were universally endowed with this notion. 😢

I really wish it was that easy growing up. Children can be very, very cruel.😢 I’m glad everybody accepted him

Ive heard of this before. Most students are vulgar and treat him like he could spread his disease to other people. They dont know that its not spreadable like that. If a kid hears "i have an incurable disease" some ignorant is going to think hes got cooties.
