    Crosby in yr 1….lost his first 9 gms in a row. Finishing season almost dead last.
    Only st Louis was worse.
    He also finishes 6th in scoring with 102 pts in rookie campaign.

    Who cares, just drop the puck. He says welcome to Connor like it’s no big thing. He literally hit a lottery by making the nhl. Anything ref says can’t express Connor’s dreaming effort and desire to make it his whole life.

    All these negative comments about Bedard losing his first few faceoffs to Sidney sadden me.

    Crosby is a winner, he knows how to win, from experience. He lost his first few faceoffs against the league’s best players at the time when he first just got to play in the NHL too, you know!

    Bedard is going to be the same type of player Sid is, because he is so hard on himself and he’s always trying to improve. He is always trying to be the best leader he can for people who can look up to him.

    I’m not saying that, points wise, he’s going to have the career that Sid has or the career McDavid will end up having. But Bedard IS going to make a difference for the Chicago Blackhawks, because he’s just that kind of player. He’s the kind of player you try to immitate as he’s striding his way down the ice or when he’s fighting for the puck in back check. And I’m not a Hawks fan btw (Habs fan here).

    When the effort, discipline and results are a priority for a team’s natural leader, it stains the teammates in such a way that it inevitably leads to great things eventually!
