Germinate Seeds in a Paper Towel then use Tweezers

Germinate Seeds in a Paper Towel then use Tweezers

On this episode I will show you how to speed up the seed germination rate process by first laying the seeds inside a wet paper towel and covering up with two plates or trays. Once the seeds sprout after a few days then you can use tweezers to plant the seeds. This works best with medium to larger size seeds, Small seeds such as lettuce or carrots are too small to use this technique.

I am going to try this . I hope it works for me. Going try to germinate tomato seeds. Thanks for making this video.

Someone told me if you take peroxide and put it in a bottle of water they will sprout quicker. Is that true? And have you use this method, sir?

  3. @joshbarton473 on June 25, 2024 at 12:19 pm

What kind of seeds are they? Devils lettuce? Satan’s spinach? Hmmmm

  4. @erbananito_3843 on June 25, 2024 at 12:19 pm

is it ok if I put my seeds in the fridge? I saw people do it with other seeds but I don’t know if it works with watermelon’s seeds

  5. @nenagrawey7502 on June 25, 2024 at 12:19 pm

Cool found a seed gonna try to get it to grow

  6. @michaelsherron5750 on June 25, 2024 at 12:19 pm

what do you do when more seeds than you planned have germinated, do you abort or find a container to grow them in by ANY MEANS necessary??

  7. @stoshbeast1 on June 25, 2024 at 12:20 pm

I have a better germination rate just by planting mine a half inch deep into the soil and they pop up within 3 to 5 days.

How come every auto flower seed I’ve got is so hard to germinate

  10. @KeithSage on June 25, 2024 at 12:25 pm

What can I do if they like a vine?

  11. @ssgundes1 on June 25, 2024 at 12:26 pm

Congrats on 100% germination! I never get 100% and I can’t figure out why? Could it be my soil? I sprouted 16 Mj seeds and I put them in soil with tips down under grow lights well watered and only 4 actually grew. What’s that 25% germination? Ugh maybe you have great soil? What soil do you place your seedlings in?

  14. @ravisood2329 on June 25, 2024 at 12:26 pm

soil seems to be too soggy.. water can be seen standing above soil sueface

  15. @ingoknito6260 on June 25, 2024 at 12:30 pm

Whats the benefit of the wet towel Method? There is no benefit. You only disturb the seedling and for fast autos this might cause loss of yield

  16. @read2gainknowledge on June 25, 2024 at 12:34 pm

Is pointing it down always the case? As a new grower, I thought it would have been pointing up.

Hey @GrowingOrganicTvShow when you put your seeds in soil and back under the light do you start your 24hr cycle (16 on 8 off) or are you putting under light the whole time. I plan on putting in my grow tent straight away with a LED light.

    Cheers

I sprouted mine the same way – but the first true leaves seem to be taking forever!

  22. @JohnBGood-ry9wj on June 25, 2024 at 12:40 pm

    Great video!! 👍 and subbed!
Question: could I do everything the same except plant the sprouted seeds individually in 7 gallon nursery pots permanently so I don’t have to transplant them? Sorry if this is a bad question, I’m a newbie first time grower 😆

  23. @mzeminsk on June 25, 2024 at 12:43 pm

  24. @rachelross5829 on June 25, 2024 at 12:45 pm

So I sprouted like 100 seeds from my last harvest. Please tell me they will grow since I prepared the bed of dirt and just spread them on and added thin layer dirt on top….please ….

This has worked for me but my go to is a glass of water in a dark cupboard, 💯 success rate that way so far, as long as they float they should grow

  39. @heatley1 on June 25, 2024 at 1:04 pm

Great video! What if we don’t have that little humid ecosystem you created. Also where did u get those 6 pack trays for soil

  40. @enufots4621 on June 25, 2024 at 1:05 pm

Are you putting the germinations into seed starting mix or regular potting soil in the cells?

  41. @jrsteez1 on June 25, 2024 at 1:06 pm

I wonder why these video had a warning
