Quick question, my seedling just sprouted and is out of the rock wool. I went to turn my lights off this morning and saw yellow on one of the leaves. I know it could be a nitro problem, but is there anything else I should worry about? I’m running under a 600w grow light. I’m a new grower and this is my first plant. Suggestions?

  5. Jeff Sharpe on May 27, 2023 at 2:10 pm

My first grow is going well, I’ve made it mid flower with healthy plants. But i have noticed some yellowing so this came just in time!

  6. John Barrette on May 27, 2023 at 2:16 pm

I grow just autoflowers. What are your thought on autowatering pots? Do you stop watering about 3 weeks before the end so the plant will start to dry out? Jay

Thanks for all the great information broskie 🤙🏼 when it comes too 24 hr lights, what’s your opinion on light schedule? I personally feel that the plants get more strength and growth when you have a lights off schedule what’s your opinion 👀👀

Have you ever made auto seeds?

  10. Scorpios Lab on May 27, 2023 at 2:19 pm

Light on nutes the first 2 weeks 1/4 strength. Then half strength after 2 weeks on veg nutes. Feed, water, water feed. Preflower stretch 1/4 dose veg, 1/4 dose bloom. Week into flower with little cotton balls, then bloom feed half strength till 2 weeks before harvest. Then straight water. Always pH water 5.5-7.0 is fine. You finally gave me an answer to my wondering wonder, which is why do my all my grows yellow out 2nd week into flower, extra cal/mag. I had it in mind, just didn’t want to over do on cal/mag. Now I know I’m safe to use more because the led grow lights. What is your thought on manganese co-adverting with cal/mag? Is Azomite for manganese readily available.

If I run the fan and the inline with the lights off temps drop big time. Which is worse? Temps in the 60’s or no fan for 4 hours at night? In vegg where cool temps are not great.

  28. Craig Suggs on May 27, 2023 at 2:38 pm

Dr A: Thanks for the reccomendation about measuring DLI and the App (Photone)! As I said below, in a 4 x 4 grow tent I have 5 autos. My DLI is right on target for week 3 EXCEPT the plant centered right below the middle of my LED light(s). The center plant has over double the needed DLI (measures about 64 – S/B around 25. Any suggestions? Rotate the plants frequently? Thanks!

For auto flowers growers how do you know when your first day or week of flower is. What are the tell tail signs?

  31. Terry Skorczewski on May 27, 2023 at 2:44 pm

When I start seeing yellowing leaves I start to add Epsom salts and blackstrap molasses every other watering a tablespoon of each

  32. SlabHardcheese on May 27, 2023 at 2:45 pm

If anyone is using those little USB fans that are nice for a small space being a low power small footprint device plugged into power strips with USB plugs. HOWEVER…. please note if you use these, *they do not turn back on automatically after a power outage*. So adding one permanently powered fan just in case of outage is a good idea if using these where you can have outages.

Do you ever mist the plant itself while in veg, or just water the soil?

  38. Relative Strength on May 27, 2023 at 2:47 pm

    Come to Jesus Christ friends

  39. Alan Glossop on May 27, 2023 at 2:47 pm

Doesn’t matter if you choose photo or auto, soilless or organic. Patience and careful attention are required for both. There’s no exact method that produces the same results every time, that’s just not a practical way to think about it. Expect and even more so, welcome failure. If I were to give one bit of advice that works for everyone, keep a daily journal (a hard copy not digital) and write down everything you do each day. Then when something happens, you have a better chance at spotting where the failure happened and what caused it.

Chlorine in tap water is evaporated out when it exits the faucet almost completely. 48 hours is way overkill, 24 is more than enough. If you use a stir pump, churn it for 5 minutes and chlorine is gone

  41. PJ M on May 27, 2023 at 2:50 pm

easy fix – don’t waste your time growing autoflowers.

What’s the most important factor for autos aside from genetics?
    Light
    Temp/humidity
    Medium
    Feeding schedule

  45. Ranger677 on May 27, 2023 at 2:53 pm

  46. Ryan Ambrose on May 27, 2023 at 2:57 pm

Left auto seeds little long in the paper towel. Couple had leaves started before putting into rock wool. Now two days in a two look great but rest have not perked up. Is there a chance they could still take off?

  47. Gary Barton on May 27, 2023 at 2:58 pm

Can you do a video on light meters? I’m seeing huge discrepancies from the testing I’ve done vs what I see others do.

  48. Good Dog Training Services on May 27, 2023 at 3:03 pm

Yeah, I’m using Organic and it seems like they always get almost done but I never quite finish and I was reading somewhere else that because the organic gonna run out of juice before they’re done and they use a hybrid of organic and then finish with a synthetic. what are your thoughts on that?

  49. Tony M on May 27, 2023 at 3:04 pm

5 weeks so far….never turned the light off….growing like crazy!

  50. Mario Edwards on May 27, 2023 at 3:04 pm
