Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. These are very healthy looking plants. I’m in New South Wales, Australia. If I grew what you have in your backyard it would almost certainly win me a free ride in the back of a police vehicle, followed by a lengthy stay at one of Her Majesty’s fine correctional establishments. You are so lucky to live in a country with a sensible approach to cannabis, but then Canadians have always been a sensible lot. The situation is so ridiculous in Australia. I live in New South Wales, so almost any amount of cannabis can send me to jail, but if I move to Canberra (Australian Capital Territory), home of our Federal parliament, then I can grow up to four plants per household without becoming a criminal. Just ridiculous.

I live in Tasmania where the sweetest strongest buds you could imagine were grown here 40 years ago, I am not sure what has happened but since everyone started trying to grow the stuff, with all the same strains as you mention here, the sticky is gone, all I can find anywhere is low grade crap that seems to be hemp.
I imagine it could be because every rank amateur has had a go and so help spread lesser genes, but it has certainly appeared to get a lot worse since Johnson & Johnson got their license to grow low thc crops. When I am really feeling paranoid I imagine the bastards have sabotaged us, lol. Most of the ‘buds’ these days are made up of tiny dark leaves, they are quite nasty to smoke, or vape in my opinion, something acrid about them, whereas I remember the good buds used to have pale green wider leaves, covered in crystals and just as tasty as the bud itself. And none of tge stuff leaves your fingers covered with dark resin as in the good old days.
Occasionally something reasonable comes along but nothing to write home about. I am nearly ready to give up entirely, although it helps with my appetite, pain and anxiety so I will probably keep searching. I feel like I am smashing my head into a brick wall continuously Then I see a video like this and I can almost taste it…….bugger!

Bud what happened, where are you?

I’d love some more detail on how you top your trees, as well as your bamboo stick rope support method.

Are they exposed to rain? Won’t that cause issues like mold? How would you prevent mold without a green house to cover it from rain?
