Hey have you considered using our Simple Scrogs?
The potting mix I have, has perlite in it. And I’ve read that it says to fertilize the plants after a month being in the potting mix. Is that ok? I have ordered and recieved a fertilizer that is complete in all the nutrients that weed and other veggies need. Also, I’m in southern California, is it ok to start the plant indoors and then move it outside and only taking it in when the sun starts setting?
Cool name, there’s a lot more info about lighting but this is pretty comprehensive for people starting out.

Good job keeping it simple man. That’s about as basic as it gets without confusing people with too many variables and scenarios. If this were my first grow video watched I’d feel pretty informed and confident enough to give it a go. The lighting at the end may lose some folks that have no knowledge at all, but intentions were good since it’s such an important factor of the grow. Way to pass it on.

I am building my own grow closet out of PVC piping and reflective 4 by 8 insulation. I have two 2200 watt lights fluorescent. I have two plants right now that will be going into the change in the light cycle in about 2 to 3 weeks. Do I need both of these two by four lights or will one just suffice? Should I hang them vertically on either side so every leaf and Branch gets the somewhat natural sunlight? Or should I hang it traditionally from above

What do you think about just going to the big pot or at least limiting the amount of transplants. I have found in my beginning stages of learning that transplanting can have a big impact on plants. So as soon as they get happy you change and they stress out and then they get happy and they you stres them. Etc. when I went straight to the big I didn’t notice anything different. But I’m in the middle of that now so we will see. If you plant them in the ground it’s like going straight the large pot. Or maybe if you could explain the benefit of the transplants. Thank you.
