About time. And they even got someone who knows what they are talking about to explain things.

This guy lol – On the local news. Like, he definitely seems cool, but I feel like it’s fairly surreal to hear this on MN news. Exciting times.

_"“In strict medical terms _*_marijuana is far safer than many foods we commonly consume._*_ For example, eating 10 raw potatoes can result in a toxic response. By comparison, it is physically impossible to eat enough marijuana to induce death. Marijuana in its natural form is one of the safest therapeutically active substances known to man."_
*- Francis Young (DEA Administrative Law Judge – 1988])*

_"Penalties against possession of a drug should not be more damaging to an individual than the use of the drug itself; and where they are, they should be changed. Nowhere is this more clear than in the laws against possession of marijuana in private for personal use…”_
    *- Jimmy Carter (U.S.President)*

_“Congress should definitely consider decriminalizing possession of marijuana… We should concentrate on prosecuting the rapists and burglars who are a menace to society.”_
*- Dan Quayle (U.S. Representative & Vice President)*

_"Even if one takes every reefer madness allegation of the prohibitionists at face value, marijuana prohibition has done far more harm to far more people than marijuana ever could."_
_“The anti-marijuana campaign is a cancerous tissue of lies, undermining law enforcement, aggravating the drug problem, depriving the sick of needed help and suckering well intentioned conservatives and countless frightened parents.”_
*- William F. Buckley Jr. (American conservative author & commentator)*

_"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world."_
*- Dr. Carl Sagan (American Cosmologist, Astrobilologist, author & science communicator)*

_“You bet I did -— and I enjoyed it.”_ ….when asked if he had ever smoked marijuana.
*- Michael Bloomberg (New York City Mayor)*

_"Studies have consistently failed to establish the existence of a link between the harshness of a country’s drug laws and its levels of drug use."_
*- Kofi Annan (U.N. Secretary General)*

_"Pot is a better drug than alcohol. I’ll prove it to you. You’re at a ball game or a concert, and someone’s really violent and aggressive and obnoxious, are they drunk or are they smoking pot?"_
_“Why is pot against the law? It wouldn’t be because anyone can grow it, and therefore you can’t make a profit off it, would it?”_
_“…It grows naturally upon our planet. Doesn’t the idea of making nature against the law seem to you a bit … unnatural?”_
*-Bill Hicks (Satirist, Social Critic, Stand-Up Comedian)*

_"If the words "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" don’t include the right to experiment with your own consciousness, then the Declaration of Independence isn’t worth the hemp it was written on."_

If this dude gives out his contact info
He will surely be in demand charging people tons of money either as a consultant or as a indoor set up.

  7. @kyleanderson5057 on December 29, 2023 at 3:23 am

I’ll grow 100 plants on the railroad property by my house shit ain’t mine🤷‍♂️ lmao 8 plants and only 2 pounds per household how’s that gonna work when people start growing 1 pound plants outside? Marijuana should be treated like a tomato plant if I can consume 300mg of caffeine and be high (don’t tell me u don’t get hyper) then I should be able to grow and consume cannabis

  8. @KeithSage on December 29, 2023 at 3:24 am

My plants grow real fast and I can bet there males, am I the only one ?

  9. @Bauks on December 29, 2023 at 3:27 am

I have been growing cannabis for many many years now. I didn’t need the permission but I am glad we got it. Got my perpetual DWC setup, 4 flowering plants means I can harvest 1 plant every two weeks! It’s comforting to know if the cops show up I don’t have to fret anymore it used to be such a hassle.

  10. @looneycrow7978 on December 29, 2023 at 3:29 am

2pounds at home is not enough, that’s super conservative. 20lb would make more sense or no limit.. just like liquor.. I could have as much as I want enough get entire town drunk for week

  11. @smokeyhigh3126 on December 29, 2023 at 3:31 am

Wont be any limits under common law!

  12. @Playhard31210 on December 29, 2023 at 3:34 am

Soo ahh any good recommendations on greenhouses that lock??

  15. @chrisswenson2064 on December 29, 2023 at 3:42 am

Can’t legally grow in rentals, or even owners whose insurance policies forbid it, if you have kids, if home is near school or daycare and many more restrictions. Your home will be subject to inspections and you will be registered as a grower/user. I wonder how high(pun intended) home fires and deaths will rise? Growing isn’t difficult I grew in Canada and MN for over 20 years pre legalization nothing bad happened but a few close calls transporting after harvests, a few blown circuits and exploding 1000 watt HID bulbs and a hermaphrodite harvest early on but that was a room of 100+ plants not a few autos under crappy leds in a closet. BUT a lot of morons out there so expect incidents. Make sure smoke detectors got good batteries and invest in co2 alarms, some dummy could take out a complex if using tanked co2 and a ventilation issue occurs.
Learn basic botany and electrical before growing indoors.

  16. @DizzieDaCrazzie88 on December 29, 2023 at 3:42 am

  17. @ThisHobbyOfMine on December 29, 2023 at 3:44 am

    Grow your own!

  18. @ToastyGrowz on December 29, 2023 at 3:47 am

It should be crimes against nature to restrict people from growing a damn plant….especially for medicine. kudos to MN

  19. @joepatterson5075 on December 29, 2023 at 3:49 am

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼yay finally only been waiting almost 30 years

  20. @loralee7544 on December 29, 2023 at 3:51 am

Anyone too lazy to grow their own and steals another’s efforts should definitely go to jail

  21. @silentmajority8365 on December 29, 2023 at 3:51 am

    CBS cares

    about ruining America

  22. @loralee7544 on December 29, 2023 at 3:52 am

Waited SO long, didn’t expect it so suddenly and so unprepared. Hey, I’m not hearing other states complaining about thieves, except the big grows. It’s come to a time when I won’t buy from anyone because of fentynol contamination. It’s hard to tell when chemicals are added or what fertilizers are used. We’ll ALL be healthier and happier growing our own

  23. @diocletianrecords1089 on December 29, 2023 at 3:53 am

Residents in care homes shouldn’t be evicted for smoking cannabis.
