    Water helps ease the glue, i did it for a garder snake. Most snakes are docile if not threatened

    There’s a natural citrus based product called Orange Power which can easily remove glues.

    Vegetable oil to affected area helps unglue

    cooking oil is great, I saved several geckos from those horrible traps on one occasion. 🦎🦎I think animals deserve more compassion from us.

    Pro tip: vegetable oil will neutralize the glue.

    dish soap doesnt work, vegetable oil works….it isnt gentle at all. i am so surprise that he didnt lose his jaw. i appreciate his trying, but my gawd he should have waited to get the oil….jeez.

    I hate hate hate those things!!!! They are so inhumane. We had them at my work and I begged people not to buy them untill I got them taken off our shelves. Let’s just say we don’t sell them anymore!!!

    That was really very nice of you… I imagine the snake will remember you helping for the rest of his or her life… In the past when I find poor crickets or?.. that have gotten on glue traps.. I tried to put dried dirt which is very easy to find here I tried to put it on the glue traps on the glue all around and kind of work it under the victim.. I don’t know if oil would be dangerous to the insects I really think it would be but perhaps it would be good for the poor mice and rats. I thought it was very nice and interesting to see the snake watching you help.

    I had never even heard of these horrible traps how absolutely dreadful. But thanks go to this wonderful man, that snake understood and when his little tongue came out I thought this little guy is going to make it❤

    I only used small glue traps for bugs like cockroach/sliver fish/gnats… Never used ones for mice because much bigger things like lizards and snakes can stick to those…

    Fabulous! I’ve stepped on glue traps at other peoples houses and they are the worst. I came down off a ladder wearing socks and had to throw my sock & the trap away! Horrible product!

    If this is something you see regularly, keep a bottle of coconut oil handy. It works well and is non toxic.
    Damn these traps and damn the people who use them.
