I cure in a converted wine refrigerator. It has a circulation fan inside to keep the air moving and a ventilation fan to regulate the humidity. It runs at 62° and 40% humidity. 2 to 3 days and I can jar them up. The jars have a humidity gauge to know when they have the proper amount of moisture left to cure. Getting the surface moisture off quickly will keep bacteria and mold from growing. I did one batch just rinsing with plain water. One batch with peroxide water, 1 tbsp. 35% per gallon. No rinse on the peroxide. The peroxide helped them dry better and also brought out the chlorophyll faster. And kills all the bacteria on the plant. Lemon juice is an acid baking soda is a base, so they cancel each other out. I also do full wet trim.

Hozit from Cape Town,South Africa. I grow organic outdoors in a greenhouse with shade cloth to prevent insects and heat and find that our conditions are optimal that with Ten plants it’s enough for a year.cutting hole plant is optimal and dry trimming rocks with the brown bag method after two weeks in 60% humidity

If baking soda and lemon juice clean pennies then you are desolving the trichomes

  9. Chase D 707 on July 14, 2023 at 9:31 pm

  12. israel salazar on July 14, 2023 at 9:32 pm

I recently heard Mr.GrowIt mention that drying or curing doesnt necessarily have to be done in the dark but i didnt hear any of that on here. Can anyone quickly go through that?

  13. Grass Ownerr on July 14, 2023 at 9:35 pm

He said 7 seconds… that’s all punk rock!!!

  14. Kid Dynamite on July 14, 2023 at 9:35 pm

In 3 decades I never washed my buds. Ya know what, the after the next harves, I’ll wash what would amount to 1/4:lb.
So Pigeon you’re heavily watering only 2 times in the last 10 days? If they aren’t drinking, have you ever gotten mold at the very end? I’m in agreement with 60-65% humidity for a slow dry with good airflow. I hope he mentions it, but be absolutely positive your buds are dry, or you’ll end up with smelly sock smelling weed.
Dry in 3 to 5 days? In the high desert it was taking 8-10 days

  19. gbeagle417 on July 14, 2023 at 9:41 pm

Bud wash huh? 🤔🤔 I’m here for that and bonus drying tips.

  20. Daniel McGowan on July 14, 2023 at 9:42 pm

Disagree with the bucket method as described. Baking soda is alkaline and lemon juice is acidic. Placing them in equal amounts in water leaves you with water that has somewhat higher pH than if you had put lemon juice alone in the water. The first bucket should have lemon juice alone and the second should have baking soda. And then clean reverse osmosis water in the third bucket to soak it all off and make things nice and neutral.

It’s incredible how different growmies grow in different climates and regions. Watching your videos I have to remind myself I luckily live in California so my climate will be so much different than each of yours. But despite the climate differences you all always provide so much good information. I’m a week out before my first flip to flower on my first grow and you all definitely helped me get to this point 🙏🏽

  22. Tim Conrardy on July 14, 2023 at 9:45 pm

  27. Right side lane choice on July 14, 2023 at 9:50 pm

Do you really thing water is going to remove any debris or dust particles from a sticky ass cola? Good luck with that.

  28. Right side lane choice on July 14, 2023 at 9:55 pm

General Hydroponics has a product called Florakleen clearing solution for hydroponic systems to remove salt and nutrients and its absolutely plant safe and flushes the plant much faster than a week in potted pour to waste set ups.

  29. Jon Neilen on July 14, 2023 at 9:55 pm

The bowl trimmer was a god send. Much faster

  30. Samuel Ponce on July 14, 2023 at 9:57 pm

40:00 if your buds are stickin together you got to let your buds dry off more?????

  31. Michael snyder on July 14, 2023 at 9:57 pm

Can you give me some advice on seed harvesting I understand the obvious hang the bud let it dry xtract seeds where I’m a little uncertain is can they be germinated right away then and or stored or is there another length of time where they should be dried prior to storage or germination thanks in advance

  32. Shot5FIREd on July 14, 2023 at 9:57 pm

    5:38
    😂😂😂

  33. stallion758 on July 14, 2023 at 9:57 pm

I’ve been using a bowl trimmer for years, I’d say it takes off a bit more than scissor trimming, roughly 1/2 to 1 oz more per light but i can trim a light’s worth in a 10th the time it would take by hand trimming, i would happily pay someone an oz per light to do my trimming, only there are no worries of a bowl trimmer telling ppl what you’re doing, so it’s a no-brainer for me.

  34. J J KCMO816🪮🌹 on July 14, 2023 at 9:58 pm

🤔 I wonder if an vegetable wash ionizer would work for washing. I know the old baking soda & lemon juice no technology. Vegetable wash ionizer does the same thing with no need for stirring.

  35. James Johnson on July 14, 2023 at 9:58 pm

The buds are done…. 4 seconds into this, I waited for the snap and now….. DONE. Next harvest I will grow for the cure. thank you for this

  36. Scott Williams on July 14, 2023 at 9:58 pm

Have used a bowl trimmer and I really think you lose a lot of tri combs

  37. Almighty Tubsta on July 14, 2023 at 9:58 pm

On the washing topic. I wash too, I tend to use 5 buckets, a pre wash of water, lemon an bi carb, h202, then two of water to clean.. outdoors with multiple plants pre wash buys more time before redoing your solutions.

Some tips, watch water temps, Luke warm is good, cold makes them brittle and fall. Use real lemons, bottled juice can have oils and shit added. Food grade h202, 3%

  38. Space Weather on July 14, 2023 at 9:59 pm

There is no need to bud wash the heat kills any thing you could possibly be worried about. You wouldn’t use pesticides on the flowering buds it will absorb certain chemicals and cause nausea when smoked

  39. ꧁Natus Iterum꧂ on July 14, 2023 at 10:07 pm

The drying phase is so stressful for me. I have had great grows only to get ruined in drying. The lowest temp I can get is in the mid 70’s in my lung room. Im going to try a portable air conditioner this time.

  40. Dragonkin on July 14, 2023 at 10:07 pm

I have 25 years in industry and for 25 years I avoided trimbowls. I have the 19 inch ac infinity trimbowl and it better then by hand as in same quality cuts but fraction of time. Thrichs are solid and still there and the insides have not been damaged at all. Will be getting testing done on hand trim vs wet trim with bowl. But I tell ya right now I’m smoking fire and it’s better then anything I have gotten from the store… 25 yrs Exp. I’ll never hand trim again

  41. the jaxson show on July 14, 2023 at 10:08 pm

It made me laugh when he said he want to make sure the buds he smoke our clean of everything. I recall the days we smoked shwag for mexico lmfao

  44. Red Circle Man on July 14, 2023 at 10:10 pm

How long does the burping process need to be performed once jarred and once fully cured?

  45. Seal Team 6 on July 14, 2023 at 10:11 pm

this was a waste of a hour….honestly get someone who knows what they are talking about this is some amateur hour stuff right here.

  46. JM on July 14, 2023 at 10:11 pm

Every other channel I check out now I use you as a comparison and I still can’t find another that compares to you. You’re all business and these other channels has all that stoner talk that I don’t need. Keep up the good work dude, you’re amazing!

  48. Timothy Babcock on July 14, 2023 at 10:12 pm

    Bud washing?
Found out, if you grow outside, definitely wash, removes bugs eggs dirt dust powdery mildew. Could not believe how much ick comes out, treat the plants like vegetables and clean after harvesting. Dirty tomatoes 🍅 or clean tomatoes 🍅?
    Your choice!
