What kind of soil and nutrients do you use and where do you get it from? Everything I’ve seen recommended is so unbelievably expensive that soil alone makes growing significantly more expensive than just buying it. I could spend $1200 on a pound of bud or at least $1500 to put some soil in a pot and have nothing else to work with. What exactly makes this worth it at all?

Hey guys, I hope you enjoyed the video. There’s a lot of information unpacked in this one, however I wanted to bring up a few important things that were left out, but still should be mentioned.
1. You don’t need to dry in a separate space from your grow as long as the entire grow is getting chopped on the same day. However, I still prefer to dry in a separate space so I can test the environment for consistency and overall condition.
2. Speaking of testing, keep in mind that even if you check before hand, once the plants get moved into the space, it will naturally raise the RH of your dry room. Keep this in mind.
3. Like drying, its really important to store your cannabis at cooler temperatures. Terpenes become volatile the warmer it gets. Because of this, I would suggest storing in the low 60’s (15.5C). A wine cooler can be repurposed to store cannabis.

How do you keep your leafs from yellowing to much near the end of harvest? I know naturally they change colors but I’ve always had the issue when I trim im left with a bunch of yellow specs on the buds from the leafs. I want to keep that clean bud look.
Great video. You should do a challenge series of vids. Purposely create a challenge, poor genetics, unfavorable conditions, lack of maintenance etc whatever, and then compare to an optimized run ran at the same time.

How dry do you let the pots get before chopping?
I do not have the equipment you have. I dry them in a tent with a cooler full of ice at the bottom. I find that it keeps my temperature down while increasing my rh. The temp outside the tent is 70 degrees and the rh is a low 35%. So by adding an open cooler full of ice I get the rh up and temp down.

when weed is dried and you re about to trim:
put on gloves, rub against the flow of the top. so the leaves will curl UPWARDS towards the bud, you GENTLY rub DOWNWARDS. all the leaves that u do not want will fall off easily. no need to dry trim. trust me ive done it like that.
this also makes sure that when you wet trim, you only remove fan leaves. dont remove sugar leaves when wet trimming. this also reduces the time you spent on wet trimming. and dry trimming? mentioned above. saves tons of HOURS per trim. gl all

A lot of growers say you’re actually curing the buds unless you’re hitting the jars after trimming with an RH of 65-69%. That said, the curing process is bring that RH down to the upper 50’s to lower 60’s over a period of time. Drying to the point where you’re hitting the jars after trimming around 57-62%, means you’re actually just storing the buds and the curing process was bypassed.
