    Russet mites will be your biggest thing to fight and bud worms I grew in adelanto

    It’s the desert so obviously heat will be a factor.

    I’ve been growing outdoors in the high desert. In my area it gets hot 100 to 115 or more on a bad day . But heat has not truly been my biggest battle, it’s the wind . So I mostly protect the plants from the wind and screen them during the hottest months of summer and make sure they are watered often depending on conditions.
