House passes a marijuana legalization bill

House passes a marijuana legalization bill

Marijuana would be decriminalized at the federal level under legislation the House approved Friday as Democrats made the case for allowing states to set their own policies on pot.

The bill is unlikely to become law since it is expected to die in the Senate. That would mirror what happened when a similar House-passed measure removing marijuana from the list of federally-controlled substances went nowhere in the Senate two years ago.

Republicans overrode WOODROW Wilson’s 3 vetoes in 1920 and made alcohol illegal. DEMOCRAT FDR ended the stupid Republican law prohibition in 1933 making alcohol legal once again

Is anyone smart? America uses English Common Law. Marijuana is not a english word. This means marijuana laws are Nule and Void in America for not defining the plant in english. Every word has to be in english in English Common Law. Cannabis is also not a english word.

I’m all for making weed legal and getting rid of criminal penalties. The only thing I don’t agree with is clearing criminal records related to cannabis. If you broke the law, you broke the law. Period. Whenever your punishment is over you can feel free to “spark up” and enjoy the weed legally. I also wish their would be more accurate DUI tests to determine if someone is driving under the influence of weed. Currently I don’t believe their are too many accurate tests for law enforcement to determine your sobriety street side.

POT FARMER DANCE SONG 2022 $$
I got out my pipe stuffed it with pot
You better believe it held a whole lot.
I whipped out a lighter thumbed up a flame
Sucked down that smoke which comforts my brain.

    I tried alcohol smoked cigarettes
They did nothing but give me regrets.
My mom had arthritis could not walk around
I rolled her a joint she danced on the ground.

I thought I was losing my lovemaking knack
After I smoked some to me it came back.
Soon I decided prices were high
I searched for some ground I wouldn’t have to buy.

I bargained for seeds from smokers all around
Got in my truck and drove out of town.
I walked through the woods where wild birds nest
Found me the meadow I thought was the best.

I dug up the ground sowed all my seeds
Said a small prayer for strong, healthy weeds.
I watered at night with a five-gallon pail
Mosquitoes went hungry for I wore a veil.

Seven months went by; I thought I would die
Till the Halloween moon was high in the sky.
At night I went out, in a camouflage suit
Used my corn knife to chop down the loot.

I hung it up to dry where it couldn’t be found.
Came back and got it, when it had turned brown.
I trimmed off the buds, stuffed them in bags
Called all my friends and passed out free drags.

In less than a week my crop was gone
I flew to St. Thomas with a love hungry blonde!!

You can thank Biden for the 4x rate of black incarceration thanks to the 1997 crime bill. Legalizing it will never fix the lives and families he’s ruined.

Republican prolife holyrollers from CPAC conservative heaven will NEVER be behind making marijuana legal. They once made alcohol illegal in 1920 despite the fact Democrat president Woodrow WILSON vetoed it 3 times

Legalize weed, so we can all be stoned while you disarm us. "Medical Marijuana" yea right. Just a stepping stone to recreational use. Quit beating around the bush, you just want to get high. At least be honest about it, stoners.

Legalize weed & the USA will be great. We can literally benefit from this economically, environmentally, & medically. Legalizing it would literally decrease taxes & gas tremendously, & there’d be less criminal activity & drug problems. There would be more consumable products made from hemp, including more oil & paper based products l, including clothing would be easier available to manufacture due to less tree cutting & more hemp growing. Literally would be a green future

  24. Galaxy Infinity on July 9, 2022 at 1:06 pm

It’s not any better than alcohol if not better cause in some sinces it helps with pain and health problems and it’s not any wores than having a beer after work and just think about this that beer and cigarets been around for a long time now we have drunks and people addicted to cigarets and they do more harm than weed like cancer and liver problems from drinking all the other drugs have killed more people weed should be legal and just treat like beer

Pharmaceutical companies are making trillions. While the government supports their efforts, and imposes penalties on the people, creating gangs and violence, and corporate jails! It’s all about the money! Wealthy people don’t go to jail poor people do!

O my god something else they have to make about race. Just stop already. It’s not about color of skin. I’m a white dude and have been picked up for marijuana several times and so have a lot of my friends who are also white. I swear it’s the black people that are perpetuating the racism. It should be about the millions of Americans that have been destroyed, PERIOD. NOT blacks and browns. That’s just ridiculous to say this just affects blacks and browns

  40. Willie Baggett jr on July 9, 2022 at 1:23 pm

Awesome I believe we can breathe a bit better with legalization here all states!

  41. FullUhFools on July 9, 2022 at 1:24 pm

Go look at the Wiki Map of legality. Mexico, Canada, the entire West Coast. The South now has its first in Virginia. Never saw that coming here in N.C. Northeast sections, New Mexico. It’s only a matter of time. No reason to delay the inevitable. Most states are surrouned by a legal state at this point. But besides that our entire country is surrounded by 2 legalized cannabis countries. It makes sense to legalize if we call ourselves a free nation. It’s hurting the legal states more than anything being illegal federally. All the robbers walk in and rob the safe of all the cash. Because of the fed laws it’s making it worse on owners who need debit systems so robbers have little to no cash to rob.

  42. Charles Lee on July 9, 2022 at 1:24 pm

So its a decriminalization bill once again, for the 3rd or 4th time and its a push for medical hemp. That is the opposite of legalization and its not up to then its up to our individual choices not the state.

  48. Adam Wilkinson on July 9, 2022 at 1:31 pm

I’m from the UK, would someone be kind enough please to explain what this means, I’m not too up on US politics entirely.

What does is mean to "end the federal ban"? To what degree does that legalise it and how in regards to states etc, does federal mean, across the board, the country? Thanks.

  49. M S on July 9, 2022 at 1:33 pm

When more money can be made from legalization than incarceration, then and only then will marijuana be legal. Your care or concern has nothing to do with it’s legalization, it could be the fountain of youth but if money cannot be made it is of no use to these people.
