Because texas government is just like nancy pelosi when it comes to listening to the people. They dont or it would be legal already. The ignorance runs rampant.

  16. El Oso Gordo on May 2, 2022 at 10:26 pm

This would create 30,000 new jobs in agriculture and manufacturing, and bring in millions in tax revenues for the state.

  17. JMolKoz20791 on May 2, 2022 at 10:30 pm

Legalize for medical and recreational use of marijuana in this state already. The tax review will be YUGE for this state

    Where is Austin?

  21. G on May 2, 2022 at 10:34 pm

Won’t happen unless you vote out Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick and governor Greg Abbott. Texas is controlled by the alcohol and the oil and gas industry.

  22. David el Frosty on May 2, 2022 at 10:35 pm

  25. hugokatz on May 2, 2022 at 10:41 pm

It is a gateway drug. A recent FBI study had 40% of police officers admit to having committed at least one act of domestic violence in the prior 6 months. Depending on which department studied 25% to 38% of police officers had alcohol and drug abuse problems, while the rest of society has only 10%. There is one other group of Americans who have these same statistics…one percent motorcycle gangs like the Hell’s Angels. This is the fruit of having the police enforce unjust laws. Americas War on Drugs has made our police the most dangerous gang. The unjust law enforcement and blatant violations of the most basic civil rights. has so hardened the officers who engage in this bad law enforcement. Narcotics units in police have the highest rates of corruption. Many narcotics units have had to have been completely dismantled due to the fact that it had been discovered, that every officer in the unit was engaged in criminal activity. The king of all bad laws is the laws against cannabis. So it is a gateway. It’s a gateway to build an out of control, corrupted, police state. Police unions protect bad cops and promote police corruption as well. Bad cops love these bad drug laws.

  26. Mazeingpower on May 2, 2022 at 10:43 pm

I am so tired of the propaganda. You know what is a gateway? If we leave it illegal and when someone goes to get pot they are introduced to a slew of harder drugs all because the premise of it being illegal in the first place .If someone was to purchase there cannabis from a store they wouldn’t be exposed to the harder drugs that are out there.

  27. Brian O Gonner on May 2, 2022 at 10:43 pm

If Texas don’t wise up we be the poorest state out here while other wise up and are making more money selling weed someone else why u think everyone moving out of Texas btw people selling in Texas why not legalize it and make them stop selling and have the state be more rich rather than thugs taking the easy way out on getting money ez like OF girls

  28. Alejandro Rico on May 2, 2022 at 10:43 pm

    MAKE IT RECREATIONAL PLEASE 😔

  29. LifeGoesOn on May 2, 2022 at 10:44 pm

Its is a plant GOD put on this earth. It has killed nobody. Guess thats the problem. It has to kill people before Texas will make it legal. Alchohol kills daily and its legal. Lol more stupidity.

  30. Astro Carter on May 2, 2022 at 10:45 pm

The tax off marijuana could be used towards keeping convicted felons out of prison , upgrading the poor education system, maybe even help with police funding since crime in Houston is skyrocketing 🤔

  33. Normog Gaming on May 2, 2022 at 10:46 pm

They call it a Gatway drug.. yet most who have smoked weed at some point tried Cigarettes or Beer first. Want to talk about gateway.. start there or don’t make silly claims.
But they won’t surrender their scotch.. they rather make a natural plant illegal.

  34. Donut_ Overload on May 2, 2022 at 10:47 pm

It would also give people jobs

  35. J B F 4 1 8 on May 2, 2022 at 10:50 pm

If you still believe marijuana should be illegal and criminalized…You are un-American.
You either own your own body or you don’t.
And if you believe you have the right to tell adults what they can and cannot consume…You are a scumbag human being who isn’t supportive of freedom or liberty. 🖕🏻Absolutely anyone who thinks politicians should be able to tell you what you can consume.
    Grow up Texas.

  36. LifeTalkx on May 2, 2022 at 10:50 pm

It needs to be legal Texas. Marijuana prohibition is racist in its foundation. Sad that it’s still illegal, should’ve never been illegal. Its 2021 wakeup Texas
