    the obsession with and pursuit of tone is such an interesting phenomena.. if you want to hold and play Greeny it’ll set you back a million dollars.. otherwise you could create the Greeny sound and texture, identical to the human ear, for less than a thousand bucks if you understand pickups and switch wiring. but the reference instrument itself becomes an unobtainable Holy Grail

    Nothing against Kirk, but I wish the guitar had gone to Joe Bonamassa. Gary Moore was without question the greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth and Joe would be a very worthy owner.

    the last time I heard kirk hammet’s voice was 20 years ago on their behind the music episode, and I thought, wow, what a whiney trannsvesstite….here we are 20 years later and it’s gotten worse, and he’s in his late 70’s with his nails painted

    *IMO. Greeny’s strongest association is with Gary Moore as he held it longest and utilized Greeny the best. Even as Kirk’s the current owner, it would be very challenging to associate Kirk with Greeny, partly due to the type of music that Kirk plays. What’s more important is that Greeny in Kirk’s possession is not meant just for display.*
