  6. SyferZone on July 3, 2022 at 9:22 pm

I notice that you asked about do we cut the tips of our leaves. I’ve tried both methods. I came to find you don’t have to cut the tips and you can leave them in water for and they will form roots in the container. I used a 16oz bottle of water and let them sit in the room on a natural light schedule.

Grobo!… that’s usually how I start my cloning I do have some fingers cut and others I don’t cut. Foremost I guess just a trick of the trade but you’re right they do really well by cutting the tip of the fingers two thumbs up my brother

You’ve certainly got to the point 😄

  24. David on July 3, 2022 at 9:44 pm

you can get rid of all leaves below very top set. then cut tips off top leaves. roots will attempt to grow out of each node below the top set of leaves

  25. Andrew Guerrero on July 3, 2022 at 9:47 pm

What happened to the heat mat

  26. Will Massey on July 3, 2022 at 9:47 pm

I cut my leaves to. Like you old school.

  27. Jay Jay on July 3, 2022 at 9:47 pm

I’m going to clone a strain soon and this helped to understand cutting finger tips

  28. GPareyawithme Ohyeah on July 3, 2022 at 9:49 pm

I think it might be a mistake to trim small leaves near the growth node. It’s overall leaves, not every leaf. The small ones can grow in full sized and without injury, letting the growth occur as quickly as possible. Trim the big ones. They account for almost all the surface area and are done growing.

Just stop it with the hair! Dork!

  30. leon deaves on July 3, 2022 at 9:51 pm

I’ve always cut tips but less leaf

  31. Black Shep on July 3, 2022 at 9:51 pm

Throw em in root tec in a solo cup . Do a dome . 15w plant light . LEAVE ALONE . 2 weeks put in tent . Use black screen canopy 2 weeks .. Make many for renegade outdoor spots.. I mean make 200 if you can and put them everywhere in town and your secret spot … look up outdoor growing in tree tops … this dude is right but go faster … push your shit like a breeding farm … my daughters get pissed and say I’m mean to my plants , I am maximizing… my biggest error yielded my best bud .. I split trunk a V during LST .. thought I was done .. thought it was over . Took 6 mos total but that stress during flower caused something I never seen before .. I can not replicate this . Tried and failed

I make my own DIY hydro clone with air stones. My leaves never yellow and my roots grow strong

  36. travis lewin on July 3, 2022 at 9:56 pm

I never cut my leaves did a few times no different in results

  37. dalan wanbdiska on July 3, 2022 at 9:58 pm

I stopped cutting the tips of the leaves and i still get rooted clones. I dont really see a difference since both ways work. I left a bunch of nodes on too so that it grows to a bush soon as its transplanted 2 weeks later. I have afew clones that are big with lots of nodes and leaves so i hope those tall ones will create roots

  38. Travis Car on July 3, 2022 at 9:58 pm

Clones are a lot larger than I’m used to. Cutting tips is newer to me but is effective and better over all I’ve found.

How mature is that cannabis plant before cloning?

  44. Mettle Grinder on July 3, 2022 at 10:08 pm

So you’re using Clonex. Have you ever used Rootech before?

  45. Justin Green on July 3, 2022 at 10:08 pm

How vital is it that the clippings be in the vegetative stage? I’d like to clone some that are about ready for harvest. Thx

  46. Shifty Shaf on July 3, 2022 at 10:09 pm

I never knew cutting my tips help promote root growth. I all ways did it for misting helped not to have water just run down the leaves

  47. Steven Weeks on July 3, 2022 at 10:10 pm

Photosynthesis still works after you cut the tips of the leaves. The purpose of cutting the tips is to allow the plant to draw in moisture. Cuttings have no roots so they need to draw in moisture through the leaves until the roots have fully developed.
