How to Clone Cannabis – What is the Quickest Way to Propagate?

Welcome to the Propagation Races! I attempt to propagate a number of cuttings in different ways to see what is the best way to clone cannabis plants. I document the root growth of these methods and show you what worked the best. Let me know how you like to clone plants in the comments below! I love learning from you experts! Thanks for watching and happy harvesting!

Did you just leave them on the table? Or did you have them in a tent?

  2. Prof.Dr. Gambo Hechel on May 26, 2022 at 8:10 am

    Thank you

  3. Wayne Kitchen on May 26, 2022 at 8:13 am

5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ bro. Awesome video and very educational 😎👍

  4. Nick Laus on May 26, 2022 at 8:14 am

U made cloning look so easy.

  5. steve garcia on May 26, 2022 at 8:15 am

    Great video!!

Can these be transplanted straight into soil (as fox farms)?

  6. alycat on May 26, 2022 at 8:15 am

You did a mini plant. Which is what I’m drinking thanks mann

  7. Nena Sanchez on May 26, 2022 at 8:15 am

Love the experiment! Answers the questions I was wondering about~ I’m going old school!

  8. snow princess on May 26, 2022 at 8:16 am

thanks for taking the time to put this together. i really enjoyed watching the whole video man

  9. Nathan Penner on May 26, 2022 at 8:17 am

    Are these under light?

  10. GrowGirlCannabis on May 26, 2022 at 8:18 am

    I’m trying this!!!

  11. Frosty on May 26, 2022 at 8:19 am

Protip: Have a motherplant. Dont clone after flowering has started.

  12. Gutta Snipe on May 26, 2022 at 8:19 am

That mother plant looks sickly with all your leaves curling down and under………what’s the problem

  13. James Mixemong on May 26, 2022 at 8:19 am

Cutting the pointed tips off helps the plant divert energy from overall growth to survival mode and produces roots as opposed to flower sites

  14. raj lippy on May 26, 2022 at 8:20 am

cool experiment! what was the lighting situation you used? thanks again for the great vids!

  15. Mike G on May 26, 2022 at 8:20 am

Where did you position your plants after taking cuttings and what type of light did you use

  16. Leroy smith on May 26, 2022 at 8:21 am

Clip, and immediately dip in clones or honey, then stick directly in dirt. Don’t overwater.

  17. alycat on May 26, 2022 at 8:22 am

I accidently cloned the top of my plant because my cats got it and I was just tryna salvage it. It doesn’t have roots yet but it’s still growing. The leaf is already bigger than it was

  18. Latrice on May 26, 2022 at 8:22 am

This visual is excellent and will make this easier for me to remember, thank you

  19. Erwin Mitchel on May 26, 2022 at 8:23 am

Did you use any type of lighting at all during this process?

  20. Chuckylove A on May 26, 2022 at 8:23 am

When do you put in soil, the good ones?

  21. Leroy smith on May 26, 2022 at 8:24 am

I also clip half of leaf points off.

  22. Iain Macpherson on May 26, 2022 at 8:24 am

that Mother does not look healthy at all..

  23. Cannagrownia on May 26, 2022 at 8:25 am

I’m thinking the roots are less necessary when the nutes are so ready available good thought!

  24. Cannagrownia on May 26, 2022 at 8:25 am

    New sub here brother 🤙
How often did you refresh the tap?

  25. Malk on May 26, 2022 at 8:27 am

Haha! The mini cutting in its mini container! So cute.
Great vids. I like that you don’t take anything for granted. Everyone says light isn’t good for roots, but you went ahead and tested a transparent container anyway.

  26. Alton ForPresident on May 26, 2022 at 8:28 am

Great advice, just what I needed to know. If you are going to replant to a hydroponics system, the rock wool helps stabilize the plant when moved to your clay balls.

  27. Alien zone on May 26, 2022 at 8:28 am

have u tryed cloning it befor cuting it there look up difrent ways to clone a dicot plant cus that what type it is and what u do is cut the outer leayer of the plant off leaving it attach and wraping soil in a somthing around the layer that was cut off using cloneing soluson and then using zip ties to zip tie each end make sure u use a clear wrap like saran wrap so u can check the soil moister and rooting progres and once it roots that when u cut it off the branch and plant it

  28. DANTE FLORIAN on May 26, 2022 at 8:29 am

I have always use the clear jar method it always works.

  29. Matthew Pizzola on May 26, 2022 at 8:30 am

Bro murdered the mother. Why? Probably lost a few weeks of growth by the time the clone recovers

  30. Hartford Boothe on May 26, 2022 at 8:31 am

Another well-done comparison. Thank you for the time and effort to make and post this.

  31. Neil Tessier on May 26, 2022 at 8:32 am

Great idea but cutting is taken from different age branches will root at different rates so not a very controlled or accurate experiment still a great idea though

  32. Sure Not on May 26, 2022 at 8:33 am

    Yo hope this works

  33. J Spin on May 26, 2022 at 8:33 am

The nutrients solution jar didn’t work because you didn’t use any rooting gel.

  34. Steven Kosmac on May 26, 2022 at 8:37 am

Hey buddy. What light you using

  35. Fireoflife2018 on May 26, 2022 at 8:37 am

i see that you have these in flower, did they go back into veg later? i would like to know what happen to these plants long term

  36. Goose Clubb on May 26, 2022 at 8:45 am

What was your light at or did you put them on a windowsill?

  37. Antony S on May 26, 2022 at 8:48 am

I have a plant about 4 weeks in veg so I’ll need to wait a bit longer for some healthy bottom growth as I’m also training for max yield, but if this works that’s insane, humidity domes, heat pads, lighting, gels, blah blah blah, it looks like a window sill, a jar and water and presto you have clones?

  38. Nathaniel Burnett on May 26, 2022 at 8:49 am

    Excellent video

  39. Clayton Alexander on May 26, 2022 at 8:51 am

very good stuff… i would have liked to see you take a single large brange and cut it into 3 or 4 seperate pieces and attempt to clone those

  40. Steve's happy little trees on May 26, 2022 at 8:51 am

Very educational and enlightening. I will be ditching the rock wool, my trays, and rooting hormones and opt instead for my Mason jars that have been sitting in a cupboard collecting dust for years. Thanks for saving me hundreds if not thousands over the long run. Best regards from Detroit

  41. n c on May 26, 2022 at 8:53 am

    Extremely helpful

  42. alycat on May 26, 2022 at 9:00 am

Can prior leaves become root systems

  43. alycat on May 26, 2022 at 9:03 am

    THANK FUCK

  44. 549charger on May 26, 2022 at 9:03 am

Great video! What was the relative humidity that you propagated in?

  45. Koodz on May 26, 2022 at 9:04 am

I reckon the clear container might promote a little more algae style life in the water, creating more of an ecosystem? Maybe haha
Also I’d say if the clone with most leaves does as well, it will have an advantage going forward: bigger solar panels to start things afresh, more carbohydrate reserves and less catch up to do.

  46. Tyler Bonazzoli on May 26, 2022 at 9:04 am

How long were they in the water from when you cut them?

  47. lakesidegirl1 on May 26, 2022 at 9:04 am

Did you by chance PH your water and if so what was the reading? Thanks!

  48. Malachi Hayes on May 26, 2022 at 9:05 am

    You had 100% success?

  49. B KL on May 26, 2022 at 9:05 am

Interesting.. Your humidity, light duration, and light amount would have been a good thing to see and make this a more through edumatament .. thanks.

  50. Casen Plante on May 26, 2022 at 9:05 am

I noticed you said each of these cuttings would be going to hydroponics, have you transferred a tap water propagated clone to soil?? Or is it now too dry of an environment and they need a more gradual adjustment? I have a medium sized photo-flower plant and I figure while topping it for the first time I want to try to propagate the top half.
