How to make a Living Soil

Today I’m making a better living soil for our cannabis plants. Grow your weed in living soil or super soil to get the best terpenes, Thc and have a simple grow. I show you how to make an easy living soil for growing cannabis plants. This also kicks off a grow journal for our full summer greenhouse cannabis grow of wedding cake by seed junky seeds.

  8. @anthonyromano8565 on May 14, 2024 at 10:44 am

5 lbs Seems like a lot of kelp considering mine says 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil. otherwise pretty much wrapped that up as directly as possible.

  9. @mythilitos on May 14, 2024 at 10:47 am

Can this recipe work with only coco coir, worm castings and the meals and great white. I dont have access to any pre mixed soil

  10. @Mrjboomseedco on May 14, 2024 at 10:48 am

Problem with down to earth is it’s expensive you can make this waaaay cheaper and better bone meals are not organic roots is crap feather meal is crap get some premier spaghnum peat moss pea gravel as it’s cheap as it gets for aeration pumice isn’t always cheap unless I live in the pacific north west or by old volcano areas bag of garden lime neem and Karanja cake these are going to be the most expensive things ahimsa has the best period in the USA kelp meal lots of places to get good quality for fare price malted barley lots of fare places aswell good worm castings that are feed a good diet country roots has bomb vermicompost they actually feed their worms mos rod this stuff so u can cut half this list out in one shot as an added cherry on top go to local mushroom farm get the spent blocks there free as it’s a waste product and a bunch of that in basalt rock dust get a 200 gallon cloth pot there cheap too and start mixing I promise u this is how I make a good true organic soil u never have to get rid of never dump out just dip dress to reamend it bone meal feather meal guanos are not made and done “green” friendly this list is what I’ve been using for decades before organic was such a popular thing

Yeah she’s done a great job, very clear and understandable

  12. @joelouis8313 on May 14, 2024 at 10:49 am

Way too much dry amendments for that small amount of soil. Heavy metal dudes

  13. @terrytwotoes3225 on May 14, 2024 at 10:49 am

Legend no bs I like that

  14. @Zedster88 on May 14, 2024 at 10:49 am

My god does it suck to still live in place that thinks cannabis is still a demon weed. I moved to Denmark from Seattle 28 years ago and they at that time they were decades ahead of the US in cannabis freedom. Since then They have gone backwards while the US has gone forward.
Don’t get me wrong Denmark is head and shoulders above the US in everything else. Our kids don’t fear getting shot in school for example and medical is free. So I guess I just need to wait and keep being considered a criminal here.

I like the video, I find it’s so expensive I was wondering if you could sponser me and I would make video’s I want to get into YouTube growing, there ain’t enough G’s

  16. @mikesamuelson6695 on May 14, 2024 at 10:50 am

Hate when you have to start with their soil. Act like you can use any soul, how about a nutrient burn?

  17. @metasamsara on May 14, 2024 at 10:50 am

is RO really essential? I have high THM levels in my tap water. Can I go with a cheap carbon filter instead of full RO? I live in an area where PH is more basic around 7.5-8.5 with decent amount of calcium.

  18. @11FOUND11 on May 14, 2024 at 10:52 am

When cooking do you let them sit in closed container or open

  19. @dillonfisher7756 on May 14, 2024 at 10:53 am

If how much would I mix I for just one bag of soil

  20. @cecfarns6788 on May 14, 2024 at 10:56 am

What I’d like to see is super soil with natural ingredients, not these bags of crap.. Does no one know how to do it without all the store bought crap.

  21. @jeep1987 on May 14, 2024 at 10:57 am

I’ve heard many times that you can’t put seedlings or starter clones and super soil because they’ll die that’s completely untrue cuz I’ve done it a million times with no negative results not once I never had any plan throw a negative result to me

  22. @davebaby2 on May 14, 2024 at 10:58 am

    Good job shaq, well done

  23. @jhonwayne1003 on May 14, 2024 at 10:59 am

  24. @GrowingBelushi on May 14, 2024 at 10:59 am

    Gooooud on soil ❤

  25. @buggydingdong1863 on May 14, 2024 at 11:02 am

Crazy thing is that every time I see people put everything into a volcano shape before mixing I think "why dont they just spread it flat and spread it thin THEN pile it up?"
I am so happy to finally see somebody do that in a video, it always makes my mixing SOOO much quicker and easier, GREAT video!!!!!!!!!!

  26. @svelanikolova5776 on May 14, 2024 at 11:03 am

Bunny poo soil and vermicompost is my mix topped with nettle mulch 6 inches. If not soil use sand vermicompost bunny poo

  27. @avillalobos4029 on May 14, 2024 at 11:03 am

Nice ! So if I do this mixture all I would have to do is add water ? Nice !

  28. @joshualiebisch9938 on May 14, 2024 at 11:05 am

Where’s the plant gonna get magnesium? Or other trace elements. I’d take away that water filter so your plants can get secondary nutrients and trace elements

  29. @TheGamer-nj9if on May 14, 2024 at 11:08 am

Blood meal breakdowns a lil faster when compared to feather meal, might run into some toxicity.

The feather meal, fish bone meal, & kelp meal is beautiful simple, I’ve got most the boxes, I love to mad scientist my super soil.

  30. @austinreese420 on May 14, 2024 at 11:10 am

I use coconut powder and Sand and hemp tea and cacao powder and brunt wood and granite kratom and spirulina

  31. @jm12green31 on May 14, 2024 at 11:11 am

Just a tip guys might want to wear a mask when mixing all this up even outside those particles can get in your nose and lungs not really good for you

  32. @TNBNaturals on May 14, 2024 at 11:11 am

    Great job team

  33. @2lotsill on May 14, 2024 at 11:12 am

Care to explain why a seedling or clone will die in the mix?

  34. @so_bendy on May 14, 2024 at 11:14 am

Just come here to say what a great host.

  35. @Joshua-xu7cz on May 14, 2024 at 11:14 am

    Great work.

  36. @travisdemonbreum8505 on May 14, 2024 at 11:15 am

    Love it!

  37. @freedom_born on May 14, 2024 at 11:16 am

As others said. Very informative, but your interpretation of RO is misguided, and the amount of amendments added was a little OTT. For sprouts that soil is gonna burn them up real fast

  38. @RodWagnerProudLiberal on May 14, 2024 at 11:17 am

Is making a "tea" the same as creating "Living Soil?" I’m using earthworm castings, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, Natures Living Soil, Recharge and molasses. I made two gallon and distribute to 6 plants rotted in coco coir and perlite. Just started three days ago. Fingers crossed. I make my own RO water.

  39. @armymxere5 on May 14, 2024 at 11:18 am

  40. @BubbaStewart-lm5sg on May 14, 2024 at 11:19 am

Can someone tell me how 2 grow don’t live in USA ?

  41. @heresie on May 14, 2024 at 11:19 am

the soil is wayyyyyy too hot, you will waste you money if you follow this guide. 15 pounds of dry amendments? an entire container of inoculant? is this a joke?
use the clackamas coots or subcool recipe, top dressings, and ignore this chick.

  42. @bluejay3945 on May 14, 2024 at 11:23 am

I just counted. There are 1503 super soil recipes on YT. We need a grow contest like too chef to see who’s the champ.
I think her mix is a bit hot for my liking. Feather meal sucks IMO. Better nitrogen sources out there

  43. @SurfStrands on May 14, 2024 at 11:24 am

Are you able to recycle your soil with this method? Can you do a video on that ?

  44. @sketchlegend3868 on May 14, 2024 at 11:27 am

simple and straight to the point. ive seen other videos of people trying to explain but she does it best.

  45. @BrandonMitchell84 on May 14, 2024 at 11:28 am

When you talk about cooking , is it safe to say that the 1month cook would be goood for autoflower and 3mo+ would be good for photos ? or am i not understanding it ?

  46. @spincitynyc809 on May 14, 2024 at 11:30 am

    Yeah, she’s growing tomatoes… hahaha…Them loud veggies.

  47. @SteveJ619 on May 14, 2024 at 11:30 am

Can i ask a question… I bought this exact receipt ….i live in Spokane Washington… Its about 32 degrees farinhiet in my garage now.. And its going to get as low as 6 degrees in January… Would that super soil cook in my garage that cold…in a plastic container… Should i put a heat mat under it ?.. or would that cook the microbes…it gets to 80 F …im. Thinking the heat mat isn’t enough. …if i keep mixing to move to soil to bottom.. Would i ruin in the soil? … Cause its no till ?…

    Great video

    Thanks for you time …
