I looked up how to make hydroponic nutrients. This is how to make HN. I hate when people upload videos of how to MIX hydroponic nutrients under the title "make". Thank you sir. Your video was straight to the point, exactly what i was looking for, and perfectly understandable. Youve gotten yourself a new subscriber.

Take 1 cup of lactobacillus + 2 kg of fish juice (fresh fish grinded or mixed with water) + 1 cup of sugar + 1 cup of milk (powder milk can do the trick). Mix all the ingredients and leave them for a month in a loose lid container. Then You can have your high Nitrogen liquid fertilizer about 10-5-5 scale

You didn’t put that diamond black in that bucket. I seen a clear liquid come out not super black liquid.

This is a generic solution which did not even mention which plants can be applied to, until which stage, etc. What happens after few days? Discard the water or add more SHIT?Assuming you would apply this to pechay or lettuce, what is the use of this mixture in the plants 1 month life span?

Please always try to give all the ingredients name in description otherwise we Don’t understand anything.

It would be super helpful if you would list the recipe in your description.

Hey, i plan on doing hydroponics for strawberries. cut up some pool noodles in slices and have them in a tube of nutrient solution. i got an endless supply of chicken manure, both dry (from the floor of my henhouse)and fresh/wet chicken manure.
Do you think chicken manure is good for this? and how necessary is the acid? the water i have is from a mountain lake and is rich on minerals and using it on my current strawberries in a greenhouse and have no problem.

  29. Jason Wheeler on June 29, 2023 at 8:41 pm

Is this solution advisable in tower gardens?

  30. sumo on June 29, 2023 at 8:42 pm

I would love for you to prove me wrong, but I think this is only part of the process required to use this hydroponically (i.e. not grown in soil). The solution would need to be kept aerated, otherwise it would stink to high heaven under anaerobic conditions. You would also need to run this solution through a bio filter, maybe some type of aggregate where bacteria can colonize the aggregate and oxidize the organic material into inorganic minerals that the plants can use/eat (a similar process to aquaponics). For someone doing this from scratch, it can take weeks for this bacteria to culture, and you would need to be checking the solution with a test kit until the bacteria are doing their job and you end up with nitrates, then you can feed you plants.

If your plants are in soil, which I would assume they are and you are directly feeding them this stuff, then this is fertigation and not hydroponics and you are relying on the bacteria in the soil to do the same job. I doubt very much you could feed this stuff directly to plants in coir, perlite etc, but if you are I would love to see a video on that.

    Hi

Can you please upload a video of your plants that are growing with this "Solution" ??

    Thanks Gus

  36. Ryan Davis on June 29, 2023 at 8:47 pm

I do not have a warm farm yet, but I do plan on making one sooner or later. I do however have chickens and rabbits and I was thinking of like soaking their s*** in a solution of water, mashing it up and all, and then straining it and using that as like a nutrient solution

  37. Maduka Jayalath on June 29, 2023 at 8:48 pm

You can just put compost into the water mixing well the filer using a net or a cloth. It’s simple as that! 🙂

  38. austin s on June 29, 2023 at 8:49 pm

What about veg and bloom differnt fertilizers

  39. Renee Brown on June 29, 2023 at 8:51 pm

Why would you not use a small amount of chicken or quail poop? It’s super high nitrogen and can be gotten much easier than chemicals that are store bought. And if you went completely naturally would you put in a tablespoon or two of molasses to feed the bacteria?

  40. Robert Moore on June 29, 2023 at 8:52 pm

"take an entire fish and blend it in the blender." Haha, I think that’s an error! Thanks for the video. 🙂

  41. Engineering Alpha on June 29, 2023 at 8:52 pm

Do you add sodium benzoate to prevent bad bacteria growth? Is sodium benzoate bad?

  42. Squirrel Attackspidy on June 29, 2023 at 8:52 pm

You’re the only guy on YouTube that explains how to make the hydroponics stuff without the mastterblend.

  43. Daphne Raven on June 29, 2023 at 8:53 pm

ehowgarden: thank you very much for sharing your recipe for a hydroponic solution. It might be very important to have, for people without access to some of the items that are not available outside of United States, for example master blend.

There were a couple of things I didn’t quite catch. You said the humic acid or one called lemon was to remove something from the water, but I didn’t catch what that was despite rewinding and re-auditing the video.

One thing that really stood out was the fact that you mentioned that the “fish and poop” product gives high nitrogen. I’ve been wondering about nitrogen for a little while, because the formulations that other people get start with a very low nitrogen number, somewheres around four or five.

So this makes me wonder if the formula that you’re proposing here with a higher nitrogen, is for things like green onions, so that they have lots of lateral growth. Is this formula for one specific type of plant, please? I’d sure appreciate if you could speak to that.

The other thing I’m wondering about is whether you’ve had your formula tested for a nutrient breakdown. I’d be very interested in knowing about that, if you have it.

Thanks again for taking the time to do this. I was not looking forward to having to figure it out myself. Tweaking somebody else’s proposed formula is one thing, but I have to do it from scratch is quite another. Especially when things are not just neatly quantified powders that can be worked out easily with formula.

Pretty much everything that you have proposed here’s something that I can find in my environment, or make myself. That’s not small in a time where supply is getting to be an issue, and things are getting to be extremely pricey.

I live in Cambodia, I need a way to get this stuff without going to some specialized hydroponics store. The lemon was useful, I don’t know what all that kelp and fish stuff was or where I get it.

This way of making hydroponic solution is easy. Thank you very much.
