Can you clone roses with this method?

Intresting build. I just use a cloning tray with a clear dome and heating mat. I have two that hold 60 cells each so I can pump out 120 clones at a time. Never have had an issues with it all these years.

Hi there do create a humidity environment to for it? And how many light hours are you running?

  14. slayer 1 on June 26, 2023 at 8:19 pm

I’m thinking the pressure in the misters are there are too low there too many otherwise time well spent

  15. Санчес on June 26, 2023 at 8:21 pm

Can seeds germinate in this system? If so, where do you put the seeds? How to do it?

  16. KaywhyGG on June 26, 2023 at 8:22 pm

What’s your timer like for this ? Last round I did 24/7 but my pump was real weak I’m thinking that way the issue it was just sprinkling out not misting really- I’ve heard 15min on/off but that seems excessive maybe I’m wrong though

  17. LetsGetFree TV on June 26, 2023 at 8:23 pm

Do you run the water 24/7?

  18. McTBaggins on June 26, 2023 at 8:23 pm

So I have a question about the clones. Do you put a dome over them or do you just put the bucket under a light.

  19. SegaWalker on June 26, 2023 at 8:24 pm

This is when farmer grandpa does a hydro vid w this hip hop grandkid. A hydro video w a beat

  20. Manuel C on June 26, 2023 at 8:24 pm

Does adding root hormone powder help or hurt if you add to this method? I was curious if it roots faster

I have a question my man, in what phase do I cut the steems, can I cut them when they are flowering?

  23. Th3_Buggy_Ranch_Cloning_Lids on June 26, 2023 at 8:27 pm

    I like this

  24. KGBKGBKGB BKGBKGBKG on June 26, 2023 at 8:30 pm

Are you putting anything in the water for the rooting?

  25. Ken M on June 26, 2023 at 8:30 pm

Cool! I invented a similar device, but more simplified. I have one using a 3 gallon bucket and another 1 gallon bucket, using a large round airstone glued to the bottom of the smaller bucket, and one hydro spout glued in the larger bucket. I too made 2 inch holes but I dropped in net pots which I can use whatever medium I want or none at all and they still root vigorously! I also have 2 inch plastic covers with hole in the middle and a slit on the side ( to place or remove from plant stem) to cover the hole so no light gets in. I also use a clear plastic bowl from the Dollar store to cover the 3 gal, and a smaller one from a cake container for the 1 gallon to use as domes. Of course I use a cloning solution and low fluorescent light and I have 95 – 100% success rate. Cheers Brother!

do you leave it running 24h or do you have a timer?

    Speak up.

  28. ce k on June 26, 2023 at 8:33 pm

What drill do I need to buy to make a hole?

  29. John Smith on June 26, 2023 at 8:33 pm

Question, those are standard 2 inch neoprene inserts that you’re using, yes? So did you need to cut the holes WITH a 2 inch bit on the door knob hole maker or was it necessary to use a 1&3/4" bit in order to get them to fit properly? I’m hoping to build this exact cloner, you’ve inspired me! Already got the order in for everything but the drill bit. Can’t afford a full hole making set RN so I’m forced to order just the one so gotta get it right. THANKS!!!

What size drill bit u use

The issues I have with this is that the little sprayers gets clogged up, every other day etc. l had my DIY cloners buckets etc out in the garage but in the summertime especially living in south Florida, the water inside the bucket will heat up. If I had a garage with ac running in there, it would had solved the whole problem. Once the water temperature hits 80 degrees it just kills the roots. You need to keep the water temperature around 70 to 75 degrees, give and take some. So I’ve started making cloners out of ice coolers so the water would stay cooler inside. But the temperature started climbing up through the day. you can always throw bottles of frozen water in the cooler which will bring the temperature down temporally. But it’ll go up slowly again. So this year I converted the aeroponics into a hydroponics deep water culture cloner. Using a air pump and air stones to bring oxygen into the water. This way the temperature stays stable throughout the day around 74 degrees. Mostly because there’s much more water in it about 10 gallons more compared to having only a gallon of water in it with the aeroponics system. So this summer It’s all about deep water cloning.
I haven’t decided yet to add any nutrients in it yet. But I just ordered a couple of aquarium sponge filters to keep the water clean.

  32. Manuel C on June 26, 2023 at 8:38 pm

Can you full time grow plants with this setup or is this only for Cloning? So would it work for a larger plant in a single net pot? @GanjajuanaMan’

  33. sk8ordie on June 26, 2023 at 8:40 pm

Nk air pump or fan???why not if it’s so cheap to build

  34. Frank Blackcrow on June 26, 2023 at 8:41 pm

Needs a black bucket to keep down light.

2:23 what diameter of the nozzle hole saw are you using?

  41. Ern G on June 26, 2023 at 8:52 pm

What size of pump are you using to get the water flow you have?

  42. Angel KM on June 26, 2023 at 8:53 pm

Do you have a problem with water getting to hot?

  43. dalan wanbdiska on June 26, 2023 at 8:53 pm

Made 1 out of a fish pump and a hose with holes . It sprayed around the inside to the top of the lid with foam inserts. It took 3 days to form roots and 10 days to fully get roots to tranplant. It works really good and ill be doing it again next cloning.

Where I can buy those orange pieces?

  45. Guilherme Tomé on June 26, 2023 at 8:53 pm

Pump will heat the water here a the tropics at least. would you recommend a timer and how often spray?

  46. Jacob 559 on June 26, 2023 at 8:53 pm

Hey fam , is there a link you can send for that tubing piece ?

  47. Isac Ferreira on June 26, 2023 at 8:56 pm

hello, super nice build, i just have a doubt, about the pump work, how many time, all the time or every 10 5 or 1 minutes. as it is aeroponic its very fragile.

  48. FacingFacts on June 26, 2023 at 8:59 pm

what nutrients do you put in the water and what kind of cloning gel do you use? Thanks for the video!
