How to Trim Cannabis Plants before Flowering Them
How to Trim Cannabis Plants before Flowering Them
Many cannabis growers defoliate, leaf strip, lollipop or perform any other descriptor for removing excess leaf material. Personally I have scaled back my defoliation as I believe (Bro Science here) that radical defoliation really only is effective in a hydroponic situation, be it flood and drain, deep water culture or another grow technique. I generally remove most of the cannabis plant foliage from the surface of the substrate up at least 4 inches. I have found that keeping the bottoms of your plant is clear of extra leaves and branch makes for better air flow, more obvious to see any pests or predators if you have them, and reduces the amount of larf or unusable plant matter that you are left with at harvest. This video shows a recent plant trim prior to being placed into the flowering cycle of the cannabis plant’s life. Enjoy! defoliation, #lollipoping, #trimming, #cannabisplant, #homegrow
