It more expensive then amazon an all the time you can get a set up of 8 with everything for 160 bux. This is cool but not practical

That DEWALT vacuum sucks… no pun intended, didn’t even suck up most the debris…

  7. Clint Jackson on October 13, 2023 at 11:13 pm

What if you wanna grow something heavy like a cabbage? That foam won’t float then

  8. starsurfer1977 on October 13, 2023 at 11:15 pm

Those are not food grade buckets. You will leach plastic into your plants. Don’t use non food grade buckets!!!

  9. Thomas Thompson on October 13, 2023 at 11:16 pm

Good luck keeping the algae from blooming. You need black buckets and a net pot that fits over the bucket to keep the light out.

  10. Freedom Operator on October 13, 2023 at 11:18 pm

No matter what power setting it is on, it will use whatever wattage is says. No matter the setting, it will either use the power or dissipate unused power as heat.

This guy could sell anything. Or make anything look easy fun and effort less. Great video !!

  12. Ajaxx on October 13, 2023 at 11:20 pm

Awesome build! Has the weight of a mature plant ever been and issue with the floating foam system?

  13. Snappy Snapfire on October 13, 2023 at 11:21 pm

Don’t use foam use a lid. You don’t want you plant resting on the root ball. Yes change water once a week and only use half of what is recommended on the bottle.

  14. Lisa on October 13, 2023 at 11:21 pm

doesn’t a tall plant tip the foam?

  15. Obi Wan Cannabi on October 13, 2023 at 11:22 pm

not sure i like the float idea, cool concept but if you have light leaks at the side your roots and water will go green with algae

Whitin the first 10 seconds your already about 20 bucks over your 40 dollars you claim…this is a bullshit way for one plant…lmfao

  19. dakota moone on October 13, 2023 at 11:24 pm

are these food grade that are bpa free?

  20. Beans NCornbred on October 13, 2023 at 11:28 pm

Thanks for the video, I definitely won’t be using this to grow anything illegal that’s for sure.

  21. Nom Chompsky on October 13, 2023 at 11:30 pm

I made something similar except two buckets for about $600.

  22. Two Songs on October 13, 2023 at 11:32 pm

I thought the pump went IN the water… to pump water back up and so forth…

  23. Riverbendgrowing420 on October 13, 2023 at 11:34 pm

ur forgetting heat issues and light leaks

  24. SkylineBNR34 on October 13, 2023 at 11:35 pm

Could always use hole saws instead of those bits, would make less of a mess and you can get them in huge sizes if needed.

  25. redd xiii on October 13, 2023 at 11:36 pm

Just a thought, instead of a paddle bit ,try hole saw bit(mostly comes in various size packs 2-10inch) and can just be pressed trough and is very very safe…unlike carpet knife that will cut u <3

  26. Lidinator on October 13, 2023 at 11:36 pm

Yes! Now I can grow…. tomatoes

  27. Ken Tichy on October 13, 2023 at 11:36 pm

Go with the Kratky method and you can do the same thing for $4.

  28. Yvonne Clare on October 13, 2023 at 11:40 pm

Great job.. never knew it was so easy to get started with hydroponics.. thanks 😊

  29. Gerald Blount on October 13, 2023 at 11:41 pm

Ask him about root rot and the oxygen the pumps that you need not these little pumps you need oxygen in that water the oxygen creates friction that creates Heat if you have lights that creates Heat you have to keep your water temperature down you need a chiller this 60 to $70 for a mini chiller

  30. Larry Fisher on October 13, 2023 at 11:41 pm

The liquid level needs to be a couple inches below the bottom of the net pot. This looks like an ingenious way to murder a plant

  31. WWambition on October 13, 2023 at 11:41 pm

    Great quality

  32. Captain Obvious on October 13, 2023 at 11:43 pm

how high were you filming this 😆 put the foam over the mouth of the bucket, cut a hole, done.

  33. justin omar on October 13, 2023 at 11:43 pm

This was the absolute shitest Dwc I have come across on YouTube especially that stupid pointless floating idea like bruh wtf is that shit and omg the rookie install of the airstone like god dam tf is that im dying you could have purchased a fully operational one of Amazon for 30$ and free shipping🤣🤣🤣 I’m throwing this a big fat L

  34. Trevor Sheridan on October 13, 2023 at 11:44 pm

I can’t really figure out exactly why I like this guy, but I fuckin’ like this guy! Dude, I work in engineering and love that you escaped it….I also…..grow…things…..but rock on buddy guy!

you know theres a four pack at HD FOR 110 bucks right?

  38. Grace Ncube on October 13, 2023 at 11:49 pm

You KNOW what I’m gonna grow:)

  39. Two Songs on October 13, 2023 at 11:49 pm

Is that bucket food-grade? Otherwise chemicals like BPA could leech into your food

  40. Nail Wall on October 13, 2023 at 11:51 pm

    I like this guy

  41. christopher boismier on October 13, 2023 at 11:52 pm

I wonder how much weight the foam can support

  42. T on October 13, 2023 at 11:52 pm

Wouldn’t you have to adjust the distance from the light as the water level lowered ? , so either add water or adjust height for consistency.

  43. Jeff Norman on October 13, 2023 at 11:52 pm

A few concerns, the foam firstly is a great idea in theory but not so much in practice due to root rot. Secondly, the tubing used should be black, letting any light in the water can be a bad thing. Otherwise yeah, good on ya.

  44. James Alexander on October 13, 2023 at 11:55 pm

The HomeDepot orange bucket is not food safe. Please don’t use this bucket to grow food in

  45. Gerald Blount on October 13, 2023 at 11:56 pm

What about the heat in the water root rot it’s going to happen hydroguard doesn’t always help you got to chill the water with a mini shrimp chiller straight into the bucket water temperature got to be under 65 are you going to have major problems done it millions of times you’ll have more problems than successes

  46. Spencer on October 13, 2023 at 11:58 pm

How loud is that pump? Asking cause I do propagation via grow rack and lights, but I’m interested in hydroponics as well, but live with roommates. Wouldnt want a loud pump that’d disturbed anyone

  47. Samuel J. Moe on October 13, 2023 at 11:58 pm

How big and heavy of a plant can you grow in that

  48. N on October 14, 2023 at 12:00 am

7:39 there’s enough space of foam you coulda made 4 circles if you would have not jus cut one hole almost directly in the middle of the piece.

  49. M W on October 14, 2023 at 12:05 am

I would consider just using the regular lit and put the netcub in there. At least for bigger plants. Some plants need to have the base above the NS or you get trouble with root rot
