That I can make myself
Hi Tikki! I’ve only found your channel recently but am really enjoying it. I just started the Kratky method last year so I love seeing everything you do with that, and with the other methods you use. Keep up the great work!
Great video 👏👏👏
Very clear instruction, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you 😀😀😀
Thanks for the tips
WOW, what an improvement over the early videos. Very much appreciated, good content, narration and the camera work is on a professional level. Well done. Gave a thumbs UP and even subscribed 🙂
Thankyou, do I need a timer for the pump?, does it stay on all day?
Thank you
Good Evening Madam ,You’re very good teacher, explained everything very well.
I decided to try your tiny tim tomato, and the clay ball medium…wish me luck…!
Straightforward as always.
As someone who has been using a DWC system for 40 years; this is a really good video for beginners. The only thing I would add here is you can buy battery powered air pumps in case of a power failure that lasts more then a day. Or you can take some of the water out of the bucket; put it in a gallon milk container; shake it to mix air with the water, and then put it back in the bucket!
Hello Tikki, i was wondering if it is possible to grow two different veggies in the same deep water container. say cucumber and bell pepper. i see that they make good companions in soil but what about in hydroponics ? thank you
Where did you buy your food safe bins?
Finally a video that has some great information. You answered all the questions I was having. Nice job!
one additional tip ive learned is to mix the fertilizer solution in a separate gallon container and use that to top off the DWC system, that way the fertilizer solution stays consistent and theres no fluctuation or risk of burn.
I appreciate your work, very well done, danke
This is absolutely the best video I have found on this, thanks so much!
Easiest way to know if you need to add water is having a reservoir container and have all your hydro buckets connected together with tubing going from container to container and use a circulation pump. The reservoir bucket needs to be the same height as the main growing buckets and will be in sequence and it will have a clear 1/2 inch tube connected to the bottom of your reservoir bucket 🪣 with an elbow, now this tube is cut to the length of the height of the reservoir. The reason for the tube is to allow you to always know the height of the water in your system and the reservoir bucket allows you to add water to your system without having to disturb your growing buckets. The other advantages of the reservoir is it allows you to check your systems chemistry and also for adding pre fertilized water without disturbing your main growing buckets.
Thanks for sharing this..
It will be a great help indeed!💚👏
cool video!
Very Goooood! Video
Disappointed you didn’t mention the actual water levels. Im going from Krasky to DWP and dont know should I raise the level.
😁✌🖖👌👍 😎
Do you have a video on leaf problems?
What is the light time ?
Thank you for these videos! You are doing an important service by sharing this information.
Very good video. Thank you!
Great video, short and sweet.
where did you get the containers that hold the water?
I read that roots hate light- should the top lid be duct taped or spray painted black to let out light? Just wondering?
tank you for the valuable information this is the most informative video on dwc out there
Thank you finally some straightforward easy to understand info ! Keep plants 1" to 2" above water !
very informative, system was well explained
Use an ec meter when topping up your water. Find out what ec the plants you’re growing like, then dilute or add nutrients as needed. If you don’t do that you’re just guessing what the nutrient level is in your water.
You rock. Thanks for the great information.
Thank you. Very well done and inspiring . I just started adding air to my Kratky setups and was pleasantly surprised at the improved results. Your doing a great service to the home growers.
Started w/coffee containers and needed more room for roots…food grade of 4…dumb luck for sure…
so DWC is essentially Kratky method but with the use of an air pump?
This is the best video I’ve found on this topic! Thank you!
excellent and super complete video!
Good instruction. Thanks. God bless you.
This is such an excellent introduction, thank you very much. Fingers crossed that I can get some cucumbers in a couple months.
PH? EC??
Your backyard looks like a beautiful winter wonderland and the video was nice and clear and was to understand
I got your reply, Tikki…the only problem I have is flowering of my peas…indoor growing system.
Have you ever tried a hydroponic method for large veggies or fruit, like zucchini squash or cantaloupe in a large container such as a big tote box or trash can? I would like to try that in the Kratky method this spring and summer. It would sure save me from a lot of digging. I’ve grown lettuce and cherry tomatoes in mason jars Kratky style, but nothing big before. Thanks for the video, Tikki.
Best video on this subject I have seen yet! Thank you
