I have a redmi 7a , a phone o bought 90 € 2 years before, i charge it all night and had no problem ,guess if you want to keep your phone for a decade you have to not charge it all night but who keeps a phone so long ? Especially a cheap one , and expensive phones is not a big deal to change a battery after 2 or more years if you want to keep it

  3. @moodyroyce on December 6, 2023 at 1:43 am

Devices nowadays take care of bettery life itself, if u have a laptop u can software lock it so it doesn’t charge all the way up but in phones leaving it overnight doesn’t affect it at all specially apple products

  4. @slizardthelizard1988 on December 6, 2023 at 1:45 am

Life in a nut shell: Dont let your phone die or you will damage your battery. Don’t let your phone overcharge or else you will damage your battery. Slash rinse & repeat.

  5. @klyrics7094 on December 6, 2023 at 1:48 am

Well My phone has a AUTO-DISCONNECT
    When I charge at night
I do not worry about my battery because once it gets 100% it will automatically disconnect 😁

Some of these points are logical, others are just so wrong.

Phones have had intelligent charging for as long as anyone cares to remember.

Your browser cache speeds up your web experience, not slow it down. Cookies and cache can be an issue from time to time where the site has changed and the cookie is no longer valid, but it won’t slow down your browsing experience.

IP67 ingress protection protects against more than just a splash here and there. I’ve been using my old iPhone 7 as an underwater camera for two years now, and my Galaxy S5 before that. Accidents CAN happen, but they’re rare.

All local iStores in my area use a paper clip to clean the charging port, it somehow does a much better job than a toothpick.

The “desktop” doesn’t use RAM. The Windows shell used RAM, which includes the desktop interface but nothing stored on the desktop uses RAM until opened. The only performance difference you’ll see is maybe an extra second upon startup for the icons to load – still near instantaneous if you have even a slow SSD.

I have been charging my phone overnight forever. My phones last me reasonably long.. (3-4yrs) so i guess that isnt much of an issue.

Power menu discharge solves this problem. Pair your phone with a legal laptop using Bluetooth, copy 8 mb 5x, then start Google Maps. You will remove your phone from the blacklist, and the batt lasts longer, and you can use the Gps without draining your battery. It applies to symbian as well, and the trick works offline, without using the internet connection.

This cookie law is just forcing anyone to have cookies either they like it or not.

About amoled screens, I did apply a pitch black wallpaper and often turn on night mode at night. It significantly increased my screen-on-time, about 6 hours more.

  31. @skshubarnarosultonny4959 on December 6, 2023 at 2:18 am

as for the first one, it isn’t really a problem for me because my laptop has a mode where it charges to 80 then stops charging and again starts charging when it detects that it’s a little below 80 meaning it never actually charges to 100

I just googled it and it says that charging ur phone at night is perfectly fine.

  49. @gryffindorgirl1009 on December 6, 2023 at 2:32 am

I do that while sleeping, using the battery life saver, which charges to 100 percent closer to when I start using it. I also listen to music at night, so I charge it.

  50. @coffeecat086 on December 6, 2023 at 2:33 am

Wait, so people taking their phone in the water them is such an issue that this must be stated??? Also, got my phone refurbished. Didn’t even use it or set it up until my sister had helped me put a 360 box on it…
So far that’s a new record for me. Two years of service from the phone… sadly the other ones did have cases.
