Is kelp a Growth Hormone From Down to Earth

Yes Kelp a primarily a growth hormone. Even though it doesn’t say it on the box because of labeling issues this is why you want to make sure you use it every time you amend your soil prior to transplanting.

Keep in mind that cannabis is a hyperaccumulator and has evolved to grow in very nutrient poor environments and biomes. The minerals in kelp are perfect for this type of plant as cannabis appreciates micronutrients more than the larger macronutrients at various stages of growth.

Kelp and alfalfa is key to great organic grow. I always use seaweed ๐Ÿ’ช

  24. Adrian Aguilar on January 6, 2023 at 11:56 am

Question whats the difference between kelp meal and seaweed extract. And do I need to incorporate both in my cannabis grow?

  25. Tegrity-Farms on January 6, 2023 at 11:56 am

kelp does it contain mercury ?

  26. Dez Nugz on January 6, 2023 at 11:56 am

So how are we figuring out the measurements if we’re using Down To Earth products? I know it says add 1-2 tbl per gal in your mix but dosnt it have to go by weight and not tbl? Seems like Down To Earth has misleading info on there application rates. You guys should break this down for the community so people can grow good food and medical plants vs killing crops or having def show up.

Hi . I started using kelp as a pain reliever regularly for joint pain , I just rehydrate dried kelp and then wrap it around the earth, ie feet .
I’ve been putting the used bits in my plant pots , so it’s good to have your info and know I can dig it into my little garden after ! Kelp both are great too !

I’m just backtracking . I seen this video already but there was one grow I did it was only Maui wowie and it’s the best I ever seen. Just two puffs and your screwed for 3 hrs. I will use that again and a touch of recharge. And some molasses. Watch that recharge the pH will go crazy

  32. Oheeeoh on January 6, 2023 at 12:07 pm

If I was making a compost tea with kelp meal, how much kelp meal would I use in a small 5 gallon bucket with around 1 gallon of water? I have the compost tea bags that I usually use to make tea they should work for kelp meal right? Thanks for the video.

  33. Robert Bee on January 6, 2023 at 12:08 pm

As a top dressing if you have worms they will eat it and move the nutrients into the root zone. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  34. Mario O. on January 6, 2023 at 12:10 pm

I use the kelp meal when I initially make my soil, and I add it to every compost tea. I definitely have noticed the difference

Hey, I have a seed that just broke the surface the root is probably only an inch down in the soil how do you know at this stage if the soil is wet or dry enough since I can’t use my finger since the roots are so short and I don’t add enough water yet to be able to tell by lifting the pot? Thanks
