My plant just started flowering and I live in MT. Growing white Tahoe Cooke and have one plant. It’s getting down to low 40s and less light. Any tips, let it ride or try this method? Don’t want my work to go away

Okay, so I’m wanting to force flower this year for an earlier harvest and for a staggered harvest.
I’m worried about temps when it comes to covering them. At 6pm it can be anywhere from 80-100°F. Any ideas anybody?
I was thinking about building boxes out of PVC pipe and grow tent canvas. Maybe one layer on the inside of the pipe and one on the outside, with staggered vent holes cut into the plastic so light passing through the outer layer just hits the black of the inner layer.
    Any other thoughts or ideas?

In other words, you’ll probably never be able to grow a Sativa outside so everyone hopes that you like Indica.

You guys Just need fast flowering indicas that finish in 4-6 weeks wtf?

  17. Jerome Sabourin on May 25, 2022 at 7:47 am

Why not just grow genetics for your environment? Start flowering in aug and ready by end of sept. Classic strains such as time warp, pineberry get the job done.

I do something similar!! In my part of the world for a full outdoor cicle, we put our plants in at the start of september!! They will start to flower between the 20th January to the start of February!! And finish naturally between mid to late April about 10 to 13 weeks depending on the straign!! And yes the trees get massive and why wouldn’t they with 5 months of veg!! buds get massive long and fat in this part of the world I’m talking in some cases longer and fater than a 1.25litre coke bottle!! December the 21st is our longest day it starts to get light well before 5am about 4am you can start to see!! but the leaves won’t start wakeing up and lifting untill 5am so to me, photo synthesis starts at 5am and ends at about 9:15pm when the leaves start to drop and go to sleep but isn’t completely dark untill 9:50pm!! Anyway if I want some early flowers I just bring them inside early and atm it’s the 16th December and atm photo synthesis ends about 9:00pm so the days r still getting longer!! Anyway I bring them inside at 7:30pm and put them in a dark built-in robe and put them back outside at 5:30am!! That’s 14 hours!! after a week of doing this you can see that there starting to flower. There little tiny banana Kush tiedowns!! about 2 foot wide 2 foot deep and 3 quarters of a foot tall and compact like a cabbage with nodes not even 1 inch apart reaching all the way down to the main branch!! And it’s going to be very interesting to see how tight and dence the heads r gonna be when she’s done??

I have an issue this year with my outdoor grow…my neighbor has HUGE trees that are shading my whole yard & therefor my girls are not getting enough sunlight. It I stunting their growth & I’m really worried they’re not going to be ready come harvest time. I live in Ontario Canada so only have a limited grow time. They’ve been in the ground for aprx 7 weeks. I’m wondering, would it be best to try and move them or to try & do a "forced grow" like you’re mentioning. Some of them are around 3.5 feet tall, others are much smaller. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks 😊

I live in Southern Québec, I give my plants the same treatment… we even had 4 nights in a row with 0 and -3 last week!

    Interesting

  23. Ron Witek on May 25, 2022 at 7:51 am

Or you can be like me and have 12 ft monsters already out there in the beginning of June and then get yourself some black tarps and put them over the top of them and end of July

  24. Robert Rivera on May 25, 2022 at 7:53 am

What if I just bring it inside my garage with a fan from 7pm to 7am? 12 hours of pitch black darkness in there. Your thoughts? Thank you

I wish I had known some of this information before I attempted my first outdoor grow! Thank you very much for sharing!

  28. Alex Palette on May 25, 2022 at 8:01 am

I followed this method to a T and it absolutely worked and stayed in flower. I’m guaranteed to finish not having to worry about Frost or temperature. Thank you so much for the info. This is my second grow, and I didn’t force flower the first grow last year. It never fully flowered as I was fighting bad sun and cold temperatures mixed with nonstop rain. It veged forever! It was a deflating experience. This year following your 2 week cover @ 6 PM routine (I’m in the northeast as well) im flowering like a mofo under the summer sun in peak conditions. I’ll be harvested before questionable weather is even a thought. Thanks so much.

I wish I could like this video 10 more times. As a fellow Canadian this is some of the most useful information you can get for outdoor flowering.

  32. Canna Canada on May 25, 2022 at 8:07 am

I’ve been using light dep for outdoor grows for 10 years atleast. I find its the only way to have the strains i like best finnish in peak weather conditions as was mentioned 👌

  33. Mairi Watson on May 25, 2022 at 8:08 am

This is very interesting and would live to it a try next year. Question- I Live in the Ottawa area and humidity it a bug thing here so I would be concerned that covering a plant with a garbage might result in moisture. Has that ever been a problem?

  34. RevivedWarrior1 on May 25, 2022 at 8:09 am

If they add restrictions on hps lights deps are a good idea..those led lights are expensive..those co2 tanks not pretty. They fly there planes alot but if you put them in the greenhouses they won’t see them..just need cameras..those licenses aren’t easy to get though..you could probably look the other way on that though.

  35. mo green Stinson on May 25, 2022 at 8:11 am

Thanks bro for the info on the grow let’s get it Michigan here

  36. Jonathan schadenfreude on May 25, 2022 at 8:12 am

Chemovars and cultivars are nice. Strains are fungus related.

  37. Pc Jacobs on May 25, 2022 at 8:12 am

A garbage bag? Yeah mate steel droppers, pcv and a tarp does the same and they won’t reveg on you. Having plants finish when night temps are 14-16 degrees is good for the plants.

  38. murphvienna1 on May 25, 2022 at 8:14 am

Thanks you so much! With love from Austria

  39. Dylan Mitchell on May 25, 2022 at 8:17 am

This video is missing the most important piece of info, which is WHEN you should perform light dep. It’s all strain dependent. So if you don’t know WHEN your plants start flowering this info is useless.
