Luke Short & The Dodge City War

Luke Short & The Dodge City War

In the spring of 1883, a group of very dangerous men began gathering outside of Dodge City, Kansas. Men with names like Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, Shotgun Collins, and Doc Holliday. Killers, all of ‘em. Men familiar with the weight of a revolver in hand and the smell of black powder smoke. They gathered to rally around one man, their compadre who had recently been forced out of town by a crooked mayor and a small army of vigilantes. Luke Short. A cowboy turned scout turned gambler who earned himself quite the reputation as a man handy with the iron.

Good job, nice of you to mention the flaming shirt. Black powder at point blank range oftentimes ignited whiskey soaked vestments. If I had a wife she would want to do you, you are quirky and full of shit, keep up the good work. Also sometimes learn something, which is nice.

  8. TellTheTruth on June 19, 2023 at 4:37 pm

These would be better if you didn’t try too hard: for example, You don’t need to overelaborate about pie heating and put in sound effects and all that stuff and bully stories

Please don’t denigrate whores and or Prostitutes. It was common practice on the frontier to marry either. Not a lot of women out there. It was that situation that spawned the saying "make an honest woman out of me"

2:30 The Comanche didn’t think that area was their sacred homeland, they thought of it as a neighboring land ripe for plundering, killing, and raping. They did the same to neighboring Indian tribes, the Mexicans, and the Spanish before them.

Alberta is the "Texas" of Canada. Calgary is the Country Music Hub of Canada. The Saddledome is the home of the Calgary Flames hockey team and the Calgary Stampede is a rodeo. I recommend you visit my home country at least once before you pass on. The Calgary Stampeders is a CFL football team. Get yourself a steak and a Molson. Horse around, pardner. Banff is a must see. Brewster’s Tours is based in Calgary.

    You’re some storyteller thanks

  24. Steven M. Man on June 19, 2023 at 4:56 pm

Lol hmmm the cost of replacing an aging milk cow? Ok a tail as old as time. It is a short story of a cow a bull, and birds and bees, a couple seasons of letting what will be… simply b. infact the very formula that keeps the milk factory producing milk. Worse case scenario you end up with a beef calf to trade a neighbor for a heifer. Que sura sura what ever will be will be.
Hard to catch this old mountain man asleep at the funny bone trigger.

Allison is actually not as famous as Doc in my opinion, he is more known amongst western pistolero historians.

You are mistaken sir! When I was a kid some of the Comanche kids I grew up with were still somewhat combative. I’ve been attacked by Comanches a number of times and, so far, have lived to tell the tale

    2:39 "consider" ?

  46. Combat Sports on June 19, 2023 at 5:19 pm

10:01 I do not think the age would have hurt his memory that much, but Bat does seem unbiased when discussing people. The worst he ever said was that Doc Holiday could not beat up a 15 year old, and he disliked him according to most accounts but I do not think he considered him a rival, and he was willing to go and help him when he was in legal trouble, on the word of Wyatt Earp.

  47. Charles Dilworth on June 19, 2023 at 5:20 pm
