How do I know this? Well they don’t look any different than other people nearby. Their traditions are not much different than our even though my village is quite far from there but the clothing isn’t much different. We also have our own democratic traditions just as in many parts of India. Infact almost every village in India had democratic traditions. Even there existed some democratic republics around 500-600 BC which eventually lost to monarchical Magadha (Eventually transformed into mighty Maurya empire).

Does anyone else find it at least a little bit strange that when middle class people of western European descent, travel and immerse themselves in other cultures that are ethnically, culturally and religiously homogenous, they act like that is exactly how things should be (which they should) and that if anyone, including fellow travellers, ever change the culture/lives of these people then that is something to be frowned upon. Yet, when they come back to the west, if their own people advocate for the same thing they literally believe that person to be Hitler reborn. Tom this is a wonderful documentary. But I don’t agree with the notion that they consider themselves superior to anyone. In the early part of video there is a mention of caste. In India not touching, not letting outsiders in is a symbol of lower castes to maintain their oppression by gods/brahmins/upper castes. These rules aren’t made by the locals, but by the temples.
Don’t even show any hash. Pointless.
