    Legalize medical collective certifications and craft boutique licenses. A collective means patients waive their mmj at home cultivation rights to give it to a licensed professional who is complying with state agriculture standards along with third party testing requirements. Patients pay a membership fee to keep the facility running and get the meds they need.

    In Cali, cannabis regulators allowed corporations to aggregate licences. So while individuals were limited in the amount or canopy, as usual, corporations were not limited or severely fined from cultivating acres of canopy. Consequently, many of those companies/cartels flood the market with 200 per oz product, driving the price down for the local, artisan growers who commanded 2K per pound in the 90’s. Now, we are lucky to offload it wholesale for 1200 per lb. As a result, many entrepreneurs who secured cultivation and manufacturing licenses in markets where distribution licenses were restricted (e.g. SD with 23 dispensaries) lost their butts and had to sell in the black market to profit. Corporations are running in the red until they decimate their competition (the small grower w/10-20K of canopy), afterwhich they will raise their prices and leave hundreds of small growers in the cannabis graveyards. It’s structured for big business to profit. Not lifting all boats as advertised.

    The DEA should have nothing to do or say about the laws they enforce. What law enforcement does? None. Just them. Without cannabis being illegal the DEA would look like they really aren’t needed. There bust records would look dismal. This is why they should have no say so. This is a matter for the FDA, Congress and whatever health agency regulates such things.

    Uh, Biden did no such thing. He pardoned Federal cases. None of the problem busts were pardoned. Unless you shipped it in and got caught on the border, unless you got raided by the DEA, your case is State or local. Not Federal. No one busted for minor possession was pardoned.

    Squiffy stats psychosis has jumped up 40% chance on what…..What is percentage base : Well due to studies carried out in Europe, you have a 0.9% of it normally, so its fractions of a percent higher, maybe you should use the tax from it to combat it, then keep selling it to make money for the states that have legalised it

    When you go into a dispensary you know what the potency is to the product that you’re purchasing.. The people that work there always ask what medicinal use are you looking for. Something that makes you focused or something that makes you relaxed and just want to watch TV. I personally always wanted to be focused so then I was shown the sativa product. And then I would usually choose one that’s medium potency. So regulating the potency that’s a very gray line there. Like the edibles for example I will never eat edibles again. Oh and I almost forgot they won’t sell you the ones that are for medical use that you have to go to the doctor and get a medical description to smoke the herb it won’t sell you that particular potency that you could purchase if you went to the doctor. So a lot of these dispensaries are already following guidelines without the government putting regulations on them…

    Now, I totally agree that big business needs to stay out of it! I do agree that it needs to be regulated with some restrictions (maybe some type of regulations) and especially as it concerns people under whatever age is decided on.

    I do not believe the THC Psychosis exists. I think maybe it has opened them up to personal independent thinking and/or critical thinking which is apparently not taught in schools these days. Too bad, if they had been taught critical thinking they would have weighed the risks much better. But then, the establishment wants them docile and malleable. That is why they insist they belong to the teachers and the governments and the country. Sound familiar?

    As others have mentioned, the DEA wants to keep it as a schedule 1 because that affects their paychecks and no other reason. The big question should be if it’s not legalized then why does alcohol get a pass? Anyone who can’t answer that, call them a hypocrite and tell them to get onboard with making alcohol illegal. The majority of the alcohol industry exists as a recreational "drug" with a proven history of destruction to peoples lives.

    Marijuana which is "legally" cultivated must satisfy certain conditions from the farm to the shelf at the store, just like food. If, at some point in the process, the plant is allowed to "drink" such a substance as dimethyltriptamine, It is not just marijuana anymore because it is "laced" with bio-contaminants which may contribute to psychosis. Legal cultivation and distribution provides the means to ensure this type of contamination may be prevented.

    I’ve been on medical cannabis for about 3 years for a spine condition. When I studied music some years ago I used it socially. The natural, home grown variety was *way* better quality.

    The move to declassify it is just a move to help get more votes. I think it is too late for politicians to get any real meaningful votes out of declassifying it. They could have done this 20 yrs ago. They were making too much money off of sending ppl to prison for it and other "things" they claim they don’t do… lol.

    It’s been known for decades that marijuana is not good for developing brains…ie….you shouldn’t up to 19-21 years old. I think the benefits of declassifying far outweigh the risks, but people, especially young people, need to know the straight facts and risks. There are so many inputs out there between technology and medications that are already upsetting proper wiring and development….marijuana is just going to exacerbate the issue.
