Medical cannabis ID helps policing

Medical cannabis ID helps policing

Patients who qualify for medical marijuana can be issued an ID by their GP to avoid arrest if they are stopped by police.

Medicinal cannabis treatments are legal in the UK, but expensive prescriptions have driven many users towards illicit, unregulated markets to buy medication – and it’s left them worried they may be criminalised.

how can that man & that woman both be called THE SAME NAME ?both are called CARLY ?

  5. human 222 on May 15, 2022 at 6:43 pm

I’m not going to argue with no one.
I took the pills the doc gave me…switching this one that one.
I started using cannabis when I was 55. I have never been better, it has helped me most if all. I’m mad I could have been using all this time without pills be pushed down my throat.
It’s called freedom. I rather be a round a pothead then a DRUNK any day of the week. I was drinking and I’m quite embarrassed of myself! Pot is NOTHING LIKE ALCOHOL!!! No comparison

It isn’t going to be legal while a UK Tory lord has a monopoly on UK cannabis production which is exported all over the world.

  9. zenna on May 15, 2022 at 6:49 pm

Hopefully will move forward from this point. I’m glad Sky News is sharing this video, let’s hope those who make the legislation cop on to the modern day era.

A crafty way to implement a bio medical ID card. Inevitably it WILL be linked to social credit scoring and eco points. Think ahead.

  11. anon129 on May 15, 2022 at 6:52 pm

CANCARD IS NOT RECOGNIZED BY POLICE, OR ANY MEDICAL BODY. GOOGLE IT! SKY NEWS NOT DONE THEIR RESEARCH.

  12. Paul Samson on May 15, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Apart from it becoming legal in many states in America cigarettes are a third of the price in America as well.

  13. Hairy John on May 15, 2022 at 6:53 pm

It should be made legal now!

  14. Chili Palmer on May 15, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Basically the way it’ll be is a tax on being able to not get prosecuted with possession.

The world is laughing at the UK not legalising cannabis, When countries like Thailand have legalised…….
I’m sick of saying why full cannabis legalisation will help this country, Only got look what Canada have done with legalisation, Damn they even built full on hospitals, Purely from the profits, I think it’s 4, Drug addiction an alcohol addiction have dropped, I don’t understand how cannabis can be legalised in Canada but not the UK anyways, Plus wouldn’t it help farmers have a new market to play with in the Lizziez Canz-UK deal, Will just say this the first party that brings full cannabis legalisation with taxes going back into the economy will win a lot of new votes, People are actually fed up of shading around to get some erbz, When if it was legalised quality can be delivered, Diff strains for diff pains, What’s more I believe growers in the UK could become world leaders in the field, People can use a non toxic drug for pain relief instead of toxic pain killers, An cannabis is amazing for helping old people out purely from being non toxic, No fear of overdose either, Cannabis is the tree of life, So it needs to be freed, But I’m not joking when I say cannabis legalisation is a vote winner…….

Medical cannabis has given my missus her life back. After years of misdiagnosis and pharmaceuticals. I wish we could grow it legally because the stuff from the dispensary is rubbish. Black Market is booming and prices, variety and quality have literally never been as good. UK is really missing a trick.

  24. хрен ти Росія on May 15, 2022 at 7:03 pm

I’m sure the workers in the Factories that grow it in Kent get it as gifts, like Gallahers used to hand out sleeves of 200

  25. SleepyNights RainingNights on May 15, 2022 at 7:03 pm

  26. Jamo420 on May 15, 2022 at 7:04 pm

    Legalize it!

  27. JimmyGable on May 15, 2022 at 7:05 pm

Odd, where I live they found the best assistance in freeing up the police was simply legalizing it & taking that burden off their duties.

  31. competentfitness on May 15, 2022 at 7:11 pm

I’ve been a cancard holder for a year now it’s an amazing organisation,
We need to push to add the cultivation to the card allowing patients to grow their own medicine.

  34. Jay Ali on May 15, 2022 at 7:15 pm

    Legalise it.

  35. Syd Clark on May 15, 2022 at 7:17 pm

People with legal possession will always be harassed until these drugs are legalised.
I’m pro legalisation even though I’m not a smoker and never have been.

Legalise and Herbalife the nation! Simples – How outdated is UK! Let people choose their medication how complicated is that????

  38. Lukasz Stolarczuk on May 15, 2022 at 7:19 pm

    Make it legal.

  39. How zer on May 15, 2022 at 7:20 pm

I’ve been using cannabis for chronic pain since I crushed 5 vertebrae in 2008 and I still have to break the law and grow my own medication.

  41. Brhdtn hdbfodns on May 15, 2022 at 7:21 pm

I seem to remember politicians recently repeating that we ‘must follow the science’. Amazing that this doesn’t apply to drug laws, instead they are quite happy to criminalise people (except themselves) over laws that are based on racism, corporate greed and lies.

  42. Paul Currie on May 15, 2022 at 7:23 pm

Just legalise it. It will free up police time and resources and in addition to its medicinal benefits, it will be a huge boost to the economy. This ongoing prohibition is ridiculous.

  43. angry brit on May 15, 2022 at 7:24 pm

The medical root to legalisation in the uk won’t ever become reality as we have a nhs and they aint going to fund it

  44. Nobody. on May 15, 2022 at 7:28 pm

It’s legal in other countries so why not Britain ? Is is because they make good money off all the fines ? I think so.

  45. John Gear on May 15, 2022 at 7:29 pm

The only medicine i would accept having a passport or id for.

Come on that time weren’t a coincidence 🤣

  49. AFAlaad on May 15, 2022 at 7:35 pm

The UK has the largest cannabis farm in Europe yet it is still illegal here. It’s all about money and no ethics, legalise it, tax it and legalise the right to grow.
