hi, i like your bottle holder, however i think having white pipe go through and putting end cap would be easier and would allow lighter print as bottle would end would be in drilled hole in white pipe, black part would only be bottle holder with no water contact, Michel

Always appreciate the content you’re sharing!
I have a bunch of little plants that I’ve wanted in a small-scale hydroponics system (cuttings and such that I don’t want to ever dry out), so I’m excited to try this over the winter.

Your excitement in this space inspires me to keep at it, too. Thank you!

  4. theBoonarmies on July 7, 2023 at 8:50 pm

Ought to get yourself an L&P bottle bro. Those bad boys are solid as.

  5. lowretro21 on July 7, 2023 at 8:51 pm

Great content! I have been binge watching your videos and you have inspired me to try my own hoocho inspired hydroponics soon! I hope your videos get more views because of how much you put into them and how much you’ve improved your systems every video is awesome!

  6. Popcorn Shiner on July 7, 2023 at 8:51 pm

That was great mate, I like to see the failers and final success, great little system indeed, I am just about to resurrect my prusa printer, Loving your content Cheers

  7. Jason Williams on July 7, 2023 at 8:52 pm

Where you drill the hole in the bottle could you design the part that holds the bottle to have the hole in it instead of the bottle

  8. bluedog101c on July 7, 2023 at 8:52 pm

    I can see where

  9. Blunted & co. on July 7, 2023 at 8:53 pm

what 3d printer do you recommend i buy for someone who knows nothing about 3d printing? i can learn to make files since i know how to use illustrator and photoshop so i will understand the concept but i want to make sure i buy a good printer that prints good quality enough to where i make prototypes. lmk and thank you for your time!

  10. Steven mcneal on July 7, 2023 at 8:54 pm

Great videos and instructional info. Spent a few bucks on microgreen setup,… now I have to buy a 3-D printer. Thanks for the justification.

  11. geoff spence on July 7, 2023 at 8:56 pm

    Green herbs????

  12. Martin Reighard on July 7, 2023 at 8:56 pm

Hoocho, I’m a fairly new subscriber and first I’ve got to say you are truly AMAZING! I’d love to build the miniature system but don’t know where I can find the the 3-D printed parts. I’m afraid I do not have the printer. I’m in the US ! Thanks

  13. SoundslikeButter on July 7, 2023 at 8:56 pm

Hoocho mate. Would love to see you come up with an adapter to hold the water cooler water bottles as you mentioned!

  14. mikemotorbike on July 7, 2023 at 8:57 pm

That miniature Hoocho looks like he wants to take on Connor McGreggor

  15. Michael Newsome Green on July 7, 2023 at 8:57 pm

This is a great little system. I thoroughly appreciate your creativity when designing these bespoke hydroponic systems. Thanks for the effort & thanks for sharing your enthusiasm for all things hydroponics.

    great upload mate!!

  19. Graham Bate on July 7, 2023 at 9:06 pm

I been watching a few of Ur videos. I can’t C value for money after buying all the stuff you buy. How much does a kilo of tomatoes cost you to grow and all that work? I just shook my head out of friends wife wants after she grew a tomato plant which she paid a fortune from Bunnings. At the time a kilo tomato under a dollar and it was like $15 for her kilo. Y don’t u do video on cost and time compared to product, cheers

  20. Matthew Farrell on July 7, 2023 at 9:06 pm

Love this, might have to print some mini systems for the kids, they will get a kick out of it.

Plus plenty can grow in it, herbs, some lettuces, strawberries, some types of carrots, peanuts, peas etc.

  21. Jiggaliciousmcjiggin on July 7, 2023 at 9:06 pm

    Is it food grade material?

  22. Daníel Sigurðsson on July 7, 2023 at 9:06 pm

Awesome idea. Just love the creativity.

  23. Ross Evans on July 7, 2023 at 9:07 pm

Great idea, but I can’t find pots with the flat base similar to the ones you show.

Can you give the brand or store (or on-line store) where you bought them?

Those that I have found in the big B store don’t have that flat base area but have bases with a series of ridges and hollows that make gluing down (with a seal for the wicking area) near impossible.

  24. peter rolfe on July 7, 2023 at 9:11 pm

Fuckn hell lad speak in a smooth flow not like f l oo ww sick of listening to everyone say how annoying it is not just this vid all of em dont u notice???

  25. Sophie 519 on July 7, 2023 at 9:12 pm

Looks like a neat little system, except I dont have a 3D printer, and I think cost of filament is still too expensive. Would getting a small net cup or pot glued to the bottom of a larger pot (through a hole in the larger pot) effectively do the same thing? Kinda like your rain gutter system.

  26. SoundFX ASMR on July 7, 2023 at 9:13 pm

Hello Hoocho! 16:17 the integrity of the bottle is affected because as the water level in it drops down it creates a vacuum inside the bottle (at the very top of it) and it causes the bottle to collapse. This can be avoided by drilling a small pin hole at the top of the bottle (or gluing a small hose at the top, coming down of the bottle to act as a breather. Hope my explanation made sense!

Edit: Another reason could be the fact that you decided to leave the cap on on that coke bottle.

  27. GEO sustainable on July 7, 2023 at 9:13 pm

I love it. Brilliant design. Is there by chance an exact link to the STL files? I am glad to join, but the search looks intense.

  28. Plant Chant on July 7, 2023 at 9:14 pm

Love it and will create my own! Why not turn the res upside down so it can be easily refilled if necessary?

  29. J Baker on July 7, 2023 at 9:15 pm

Could work great as a small kitchen counter herb system.

  30. nathan abbott on July 7, 2023 at 9:15 pm

7:15 Don’t you hate when your silicone comes with leech eggs?

  31. Abu Hayat on July 7, 2023 at 9:15 pm

Lol.. you need to drill a hole on top of the Coke bottle for the air to go in and prevent vacuum 😂

  32. have you seen animal chin? on July 7, 2023 at 9:17 pm

You’re a wizard Harry. Love ya videos big fella ❤🍻

  33. Sean Ray on July 7, 2023 at 9:18 pm

How often do you change out your water “nutrients “?

  34. DanB Outdoors on July 7, 2023 at 9:19 pm

This is cool as bud!! Just wondering if in the one you built if the nutrient level further away from the reservoir is higher than close due to the angle of the pipe? You could make a modified end cap that lets the pipe go straight through that would then keep that end at the same heigh. They would also be useful if you had a longer straight one to support the pipe along the length.

  37. Christer Sjaunja on July 7, 2023 at 9:20 pm

Corn sallad (mache) should work perfect in the hoocho pots.

  38. Pinball Wizard on July 7, 2023 at 9:21 pm

What about a pvc Res with end caps on, would that work instead of bottles

  39. Jeffrey Schutt on July 7, 2023 at 9:24 pm

    nice work again Hoocho

  40. huanita ✨HPC魔法藥妝櫃✨ on July 7, 2023 at 9:24 pm

the miniature Hoocho needs a miniature beer 😂🍺

  41. IQ Workshop on July 7, 2023 at 9:29 pm

I think you could 3D print/cut some rings out of a rigid material, the diameter of the bottle, and hot glue them in a few placers up the side to reinforce the structure so it doesn’t collapse.

Sure, its an extra step/thing to make but fairly easy IMO

  42. stephania van volkenburg on July 7, 2023 at 9:29 pm

a smaller hole along with the smaller bottle will both help, and a u shaped holder to make the whole thing flat and level would a boon… but over all verry cool…
also the middle piece from a second bottle sliced and put on the first bottle would increase the rigidity of the system..
    thanks for another great vid

  43. Schawn on July 7, 2023 at 9:31 pm

    Brilliant
