New Jersey prepares to launch recreational cannabis market | NJ Business Beat

New Jersey’s recreational cannabis market is gearing up to launch soon with the state projecting billions of dollars in revenue. The state is finally accepting applications for those interested in selling recreational marijuana with hundreds of applicants putting in bids to start their own cannabis businesses. Rhonda Schaffler speaks with Jeff Brown, Executive Director of the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, about the application process and when we might start to see recreational sales begin in the state.

    Listen, the NJ CRC is one of the only markets in the US that is taking the time to create the opportunity inclusion, the right way. Why is everyone rushing for it to start? Because they aren’t thinking of the cost to the new businesses and the advantage given to MSOs that already have multiple license types and won’t need to rely on collaboration to succeed. Hold these big companies accountable for there attempt to bypass equity and opportunity for forgotten others… and hold the politicians responsible too
