  4. @jjcashflow3690 on April 21, 2024 at 8:09 am

It has always been about tax revenue, never about safety .

  5. @davidgregory2434 on April 21, 2024 at 8:10 am

Who tf would wanna live in NY with the largest police force in the world? Why do you think they’d need that many employees?

  6. @JakeSDN on April 21, 2024 at 8:10 am

But this doesn’t solve anything, all they have to do is cut the padlock, and continue doing the same thing they were doing. This already happened like two weeks, the NYPD had to weld the store shut because the shop “owner” kept cutting the city’s padlock. You know how to prevent him from doing that? Lock him up.

  7. @chiquita683 on April 21, 2024 at 8:10 am

Wait until the city finds out building owners cant pay their property taxes without the smoke shops 😂

  8. @orangecat5036 on April 21, 2024 at 8:12 am

Weed flopped no money in that.

  9. @jaysaini7635 on April 21, 2024 at 8:12 am

  12. @ricardodiez4311 on April 21, 2024 at 8:15 am

There is not cracking down on cannabis The cracking down is in tax evasión The city makes a lot of money with the tax on cannabis

  13. @rfborden4854 on April 21, 2024 at 8:17 am

They are looking for money, and they are mad they are not getting tax revenue. Bucky beaver is evil.

  14. @distilledfreedom1840 on April 21, 2024 at 8:20 am

The legalization of marijuana is a disaster for our society.

  15. @jjcashflow3690 on April 21, 2024 at 8:26 am

Yeah only $50k per day in fines. Let’s make up imaginary law & now fine $50k to prove our point . Where does this greedy city come up with such corrupt financial numbers in handing out fine to people . NYC most corrupt & most free loading city in the world .

  16. @joem.5946 on April 21, 2024 at 8:31 am

I hope they shut down every non licensed shop. It’s always terrible flower and smells weird.

  17. @johnnierogue1410 on April 21, 2024 at 8:32 am

Stop it this is peanuts compared to the migrant issue why don’t you crack down on that first and leave cannabis alone

  18. @Mr5083 on April 21, 2024 at 8:37 am

But what does it do to get all thoese young people off the streets and out of cars selling drugs in the Bronx 24/7
Why is the city allowing these young Latinos to sell poison in the streets ?

  19. @RonnieThebrush-ci8kd on April 21, 2024 at 8:37 am

    I saw cannibal crackdown

  20. @ricardodiez4311 on April 21, 2024 at 8:39 am

Why the city don’t use the force against crime in the subways ? Because there are more concern in taxes than in the safety of citizens

  21. @kirkdogg007 on April 21, 2024 at 8:41 am

2 years in and this is the kinda of reporting we get. They cant even stop cigarettes hell they couldn’t stop illegal drugs now after all this time and all these stores and u want me to believe these cops ain’t taking money. Now who is being naive Kay?

  22. @NamesMcgee-dd2te on April 21, 2024 at 8:46 am

These bastards padlocked the shop I frequent now I have to spend $10 more at the one directly across the street

  23. @ibraheemali1231 on April 21, 2024 at 8:46 am

These guys are mad because of the tax revenue they lost .. which the cannabis people are pushing them to enforce This new law .
Instead of cracking down on criminals all over the city they are going after the businesses which will make all the vape and weed products sales back in the streets
These shops are doing u a big favor by cleaning all the street sales
Next months after u close all these shops people will buy and sell them in the corners 🤣🤣
You are not solving the problem you are creating a new one .

  24. @user-bn5jb4yu6t on April 21, 2024 at 8:46 am

    Criminals going after criminals…..

  25. @kateskeys on April 21, 2024 at 8:47 am

The cops should have better things to do.

  26. @johnnytadwell5976 on April 21, 2024 at 8:48 am

They can lock up weed but not the murderers of New York.

  27. @philpugliese7049 on April 21, 2024 at 8:52 am

"More teeth" is government code talk for oppression.

  28. @rosyalmonte4239 on April 21, 2024 at 8:53 am

NYC/NYS, you made your bed, now ly on it. You wanted drugs to be recreational legal. The example deterioration of a society.

  29. @juannumbaone9142 on April 21, 2024 at 8:54 am

There goes our economy ; smoke shops the only retailers making any money post pandemic 😂

  30. @eddyvideostar on April 21, 2024 at 8:58 am

The state allows weed but wants to stop certain store owners, just like the COVID zip code areas that opened and shut businesses *on the whim of adjusted regulations.*

  31. @rogerkim1910 on April 21, 2024 at 9:01 am

Perhaps they should crack down on illegal aliens before worrying about pot shops

  32. @johnnierogue1410 on April 21, 2024 at 9:01 am

Why doesn’t deportation of migrants go into effect immediately? why doesnt closing off our borders go into effect immediately?

  33. @kateskeys on April 21, 2024 at 9:02 am

This makes me sick SHAME ON HOCHEL AND ADAMS

  34. @PC_TV_73 on April 21, 2024 at 9:02 am

Let’s face it. They are only mad because they are not getting a percentage. He said it right in the video. It’s an old cash business and they do not like all cash businesses New York does not care about your safety and don’t let them pretend they do.

  35. @peachmango5347 on April 21, 2024 at 9:06 am

Disproportionately affects blacks and the poor…remember when that was used as an excuse to get us to this point. Now it doesn’t matter compared to the power of the government. Are menthol cigarettes illegal in NY?
