who’s ready for $50 min eighths (before taxation) like MA? I like some of these ideas, for example the environmental protections (and social equity isn’t the worst idea I guess), but if they saturate this with red tape, the black market will be thriving. I don’t have as much of a problem with that as they will, but I don’t want any "failures" to be cited in prohibitionists’ arguments, and personally just want access to tested, fairly priced herb.

hurry up but don’t f this up NY.

The state can be your dealer but if you dare to grow the same plant for yourself they’ll put you in a cage and ruin your life!

  3. Jamie Sr. Ferrante on June 20, 2022 at 5:41 pm

Black market will run rampant in NY. They are making all the same mistakes California and Colorado did.

  4. m u on June 20, 2022 at 5:41 pm

I’d like to know how many plants are you allowed to grow under the micro business license?

  7. Kristos Menfes on June 20, 2022 at 5:48 pm

It’s not a “privilege” those gov assholes thinking they can control a plant is a “privilege” profited from ignorance and sleeping minds

  8. Kristos Menfes on June 20, 2022 at 5:50 pm

Ha same thing everywhere it’s all $$$ and if u don’t have land and a spotless record then u stuck being the one buying it. Upper class moves up lower class moves down.

  16. Mezzy on June 20, 2022 at 6:08 pm

Sounds like it’s gonna be a restrictive, corporatized, authoritarian and corrupt system. Typical New York politics

  17. Austin Johnson on June 20, 2022 at 6:09 pm

New York will be so expensive and restricted that New Yorkers will continue to spend billions on the black market because it is half the price and twice as easy. Even the New York hemp laws are insane, you need a license just to sell it now too. New York still hasn’t gotten back to my NY farm about 2020’s grow, and they still haven’t given a permit for a greenhouse on a 500 acre farm for 2 years. NY is a joke. Move to Vermont.

  18. Bob Love on June 20, 2022 at 6:11 pm

I am a farmer. I grow microgreens. Growing produce in NYS is easy. This whole license thing has its place but the amount discretion the state has in determining who pays what is going to lead to classic NYS cronyism.

  19. EmpireSix on June 20, 2022 at 6:11 pm

Damn..I live in NY and have a CDL…Guess I’m excluded from the party because I accomplished getting a better license 😣

  20. Ken Jordan on June 20, 2022 at 6:15 pm

Holy crap! Red tape and $$$$$

  24. Mason Jar Specialty Food on June 20, 2022 at 6:23 pm

Hope they let us grow it in NY

  25. Marlen Bresler on June 20, 2022 at 6:23 pm

Can you get me a license?

  26. Ghost Patriot on June 20, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Can you do an update on this please. I own a farm and have been doing my research to get a cultivation license and start growing recreational marijuana in NY.

  27. The Mind Of Opex on June 20, 2022 at 6:24 pm

Been waiting years for this news. Thanks for putting in the time to explain it!

  28. Elvis Narciso Medina on June 20, 2022 at 6:26 pm

The price inflation will create a black market like never seen before. Buy it from your friend $25 buy it at the dispensary$50.

  29. Ikr Man on June 20, 2022 at 6:27 pm

Can you do a video on Virginia legalization?

  30. SkylarDatGuy on June 20, 2022 at 6:27 pm

Alot of this makes sense. HOWEVER if a state decided to legalize cannabis, it is not my PRIVILEGE its my RIGHT to use cannabis if its legal and i have a license in my state. After legalization it becomes my right to use/consume. Try telling people they need to keep their local coffee shop quieter or they’ll ban coffee. I have zero faith in nyc to handle this well at all. They screwed their economy with how they treated Commerical Realestate. A smoke shop is still gonna struggle to open with 20k monthly rent and 30% profits going in taxes. (20k buys you 650sqf be careful tho sometimes places dont allow you to have a goldfish or bike inside 🙂

  31. Doghudje Aduvie Louis on June 20, 2022 at 6:29 pm

    How about buying it..

  32. zach boehme on June 20, 2022 at 6:29 pm

well this New York state legalization is a joke, no one in this state will see dispensaries open for years and it will be so expensive only the idiots will buy sixty dollar eights. all the little farms will never get a chance because all the big dogs will get license before anyone else because the little guys cant afford a million dollar license. Just calling BS

  33. hash master on June 20, 2022 at 6:38 pm

    Talk about extortion
