I got another comment. Bill calls it cynical… He is the cynical one in the debate. He doesn’t want to see anyone who used to smoke weed or is poor to have a business in the marijuana industry. What a prick. I bet it would make him jealous if someone who got busted with weed wrongfully some years ago ended up being a millionaire business owner in Ohio. This dude is just so narrow minded. He should be embarrassed for being such a jerk. Anyway let’s legalize cannabis in Ohio

  4. @thisizcle140 on January 15, 2024 at 4:05 am

When Jerry Springer was mayor of Cincinnati we smoked like chiefs the Republicans hated Jerry because he loved women and weed not little boy and alcohol.. until you run the Nazis out you don’t have a chance of legal weed big pharma runs your state 😮

  7. @lunax71 on January 15, 2024 at 4:06 am

Until Ohio starts voting blue, I don’t think Ohio is ready for legalized marijuana. Let the blue state profit off red states on the taxes and tourisum etc.

300 Hundred Million Dollars in tax revenue being fed to Michigan. New York and lining the pockets of drug cartels..and no matter how you vote Marijuana is not going away..You only need to ask yourself two questions when voting ..will the passage be enough to make me start smoking it and will Marjuana go away ?..The answer of course is NO..Lawmakers have no problem reaching for our wallets every time they need money to balance their books raising our taxes yet still willing to give away millions of dollars to the Sates bordering Ohio..The first guy saying yes he can smell it in Michigan..Fact is the passage does not increase the numbers of users…So we must be smelling it now and don’t realize it..Thats doesn’t make any sense to me..Even then those who in the open and are caught smoking in public should be fined giving more revenue to the State.. it does NOT increase the number of users either way..The passage will not be enough to make me want to smoke Marijuana and even if i wanted to its all to easy to buy either one State away or one Street corner away..Keep this 300 hundred million dollars in the State of Ohio and stop feeding it to Michigan or New York or the drug dealer the next street over..The only argument the State has against it is who is allowed to make the profit..The business man wanting to open a business or the State having a foot hold on it and full control on who they want to be able to sell it..Until the State has that in hand they will not support the passage plain and simple as that.. Voting Yes

I live in Michigan and I am profoundly against this. I’m a medicinal and recreational cannabis user and I will face higher prices and lower availability of the medicine I need. Perhaps Ohio legislators are right, Ohio residents are simply not responsible. They need more time to mature as citizens before experiencing freedoms like this. Actually, you should consider harsh new penalties designed to reduce the number of younger users. Young people who’ve had their lives destroyed on conviction of a cannabis crime will dissuade young users.

The media needs to fact check the statements made by Tom Haren and give others the opportunity to rebuttal things he said in this event.

  13. @wardogzaiap8860 on January 15, 2024 at 4:09 am

    Yes is the vote 👍

  14. @jessiefayne4083 on January 15, 2024 at 4:13 am

Legalizing marijuana has not hurt any of the other states. It has created a new income stream for all the government.

  15. @kensipecomedy4049 on January 15, 2024 at 4:14 am

Bill thinks Reefer Madness is a documentary

  16. @conditionone4925 on January 15, 2024 at 4:15 am

thats if they can find their keys ( most of the time the keys are in their hand.)

  17. @iflick7235 on January 15, 2024 at 4:15 am

We have to connect cannabis with habitual offender statutes. When a teenager realizes they could spend the remainder of their natural lives in a penitentiary, they’ll think many times before using anything other than alcohol and certainly not cannabis.

  18. @halmuller8005 on January 15, 2024 at 4:18 am

Studies are like statistics it can be made to show anything depending on who pays for the studies

The people will show you the gov wants the tax money

  20. @DaDansinBear on January 15, 2024 at 4:19 am

Bill Snook has no idea what he’s talking about. He miss reads labels. He still believes in The voodoo of reefer madness. He has absolutely no proof on anything he says. He is useless.

  21. @ExiledVessel on January 15, 2024 at 4:20 am

The number one reason people don’t renew their medical license; They moved because the grass is greener elsewhere.

The worst thing about legalizing marijuana is that the illegal weed will still be cheaper and typically better quality than the legal counterparts.

  22. @joegreezy on January 15, 2024 at 4:21 am

This is classism at its finest. ONLY reason weed isn’t legal is they couldn’t put a stranglehold on supply. They DONT want you to be able to start a business and become rich/wealthy LEGITIMATELY. 🤦‍♂️ we need to vote this in. These folks don’t want “certain” people to have money and live in the nicer communities, show up at the events and have say so.

  23. @richardpawl1664 on January 15, 2024 at 4:26 am

The anti-marijuana legalization crowd tries really hard to live in a place where if they don’t like something that isn’t as dangerous as guns, or alcohol, or some jobs even, that no one should be allowed to like it. Did you know people get cut by sharp objects? That means all sharp objects are extremely dangerous, should we illegalize all sharp objects? No, and sharp objects are more dangerous than marijuana.

  24. @halmuller8005 on January 15, 2024 at 4:26 am

How many on this panel have actually used this stuff. If none how can you be the experts? Why not talk to a real user?

  25. @benjaminbarber2840 on January 15, 2024 at 4:26 am

Ppl driving aRound stoned are not in control …they are intoxicated

  33. @fredweinmann2610 on January 15, 2024 at 4:48 am

It’s absurd this is being discussed much less on the ballot. This is a mind altering chemical that has no place in society. The only place this should be considered is in a medical environment directly under a doctors supervision and only if the medical industry as a whole recognizes benefits that improve the quality of life for an individual. Thousands of people are driving while consuming these products and I am tired of being exposed while driving, incredibly unfair to unsuspecting drivers. This is also Federally illegal, which as I understand trumps all state law and therefore illegal everywhere.

  34. @FucTed on January 15, 2024 at 4:49 am

Ohio people are fucked up enough as it is they do not need this

  35. @hollys5517 on January 15, 2024 at 4:53 am

Cannot believe Tom and michell try to profit on the people without concerning about the negative consequences it can cause. Just think about our younger generation.

  37. @stayinganonymous.3172 on January 15, 2024 at 4:57 am

    Alcohol kills people.

  38. @chrissofia8602 on January 15, 2024 at 4:58 am

The FOP of Ohio doesn’t want to legalize because it’s easy for cops to smell weed and give us tickets for it. They need to back off. Cannabis never should have been illegal to begin with. It should be legal for adults and as long as we use it responsibly there should be very few issues. Cannabis is alot safer than alcohol. Many of us know that… It’s old news. The business owners will just have to treat it like alcohol. Don’t allow it in the workplace. Do it if you want when your off work.. DUH.. That one guy on here who talked about giving " ex criminals" or people who broke the law with cannabis jobs and allowing them to sell in a regulated market… Well that should be fine. This guy has a stick up his butt about it. He just doesn’t like it so he’s going to be a jerk about it. It’s good for business good for taxes good for the roads and the cities in general which could even funnel resources to police stations. So we need to legalize cannabis in Ohio. We don’t want to be the last state to benefit… But apparently the cops and these stuck up business owners don’t want to be on the right side of history. Oh well. They will see very soon here shortly how cannabis can benefit the world.

  39. @conditionone4925 on January 15, 2024 at 4:58 am

What harms can pot do to people?

  40. @conditionone4925 on January 15, 2024 at 4:59 am

compare pot to alcohol. Its not even close.
Drunks run stop signs and lights. Potheads wait for the stop sign to turn green.

  41. @FNBRENT on January 15, 2024 at 5:00 am

MY VOTE WILL BE YES REGARDLESS ALCHOHOL IS 100,000000X WOSE THEN MARIJUANA WILL EVER BE

  43. @FNBRENT on January 15, 2024 at 5:02 am

YEAH RIGHT DRUNK DRIVERS KILL MORE PPL EVERY YEAR THEN ANYONE 🤣🤣🤣🤣 TALK ABOUT THAT

  44. @halmuller8005 on January 15, 2024 at 5:02 am

A few years ago a top Indians state trooper claimed he would rather deal with a marijuana driver than a drunk driver. Obviously the experts are misinformed. They make more from fines court costs and related restrictions with counseling and testing along with probation costs. It’s helps with many illnesses that big pharma can’t be successful with the petroleum based drugs which actually cause more harm than natural medications. That’s why the Rockerfellers hijacked the medical industry

I rolled my 2000 Harley Wide Glide on 08-30-2008 on HWY 82 by Sealy lake Montana with no helmet that broke ribs multiple times puncturing both lungs, shattered pelvic into 5 pieces stopping my ❤ 3 times. Putting me into an 87 day coma waking with a 5.5 TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury).
THC protected my brain from oxygen deprivation. I was returned from ‘death’ on the CREATORS mission ~ MARIJUANA / CANNABIS is healing my brain through the Endocannabinoid system. GOD given ‘phytocannabinoids’. It is THC-a that gives the brain the ability to grow cells.
