  5. Lazuli on February 12, 2023 at 8:20 pm

The outline fan sucks air inside the tent trough the vents at the bottom, when the tent is closed mine sucks in humid air (70%) sp i have to put dehumidifier inside the tent (its a 300watt) a lot of electricity… and i cant turn it off or humiditie goes up in 20 seconds. What size of dehumidifier would be good enough to get under 60%? Would a 150watt work too ?

  8. Michael Schaller on February 12, 2023 at 8:23 pm

Its as simple as this its so much better to have those things and not need them then to need them and not have them yet ……

  9. Cedric Pineault on February 12, 2023 at 8:26 pm

If you want everything to be dialed in VPD wise you will need all you talked about for SURE to stay dialed in…only thing that changes due to your location is WHEN you will USE them …for sure you can try to stay in random range 70-80 F and 50% RH but you’ll never have the end results your looking for! There are VPD charts available for every stage of the plants life but the higher you go in temp the higher humidity you need! But yeah they’re are charts that can calculate everything for you online you just enter your room temp and leaf temp and it gives you your % humidity needed! 🙏💪

Hi, I was hoping you might be able to help me out please? I’m running a humidifier also, at first.. I started smelling a little funk so I stopped. No problems to the juveniles, I’m lucky. I have as 5×5 Infinity AC tent, 2 – 1500W LED’s, 4 – 11" fans, 1 in All corners. Heater, tent is Solid@ 75degres, With No Humidifier tent humidity is a Solid 35. I added the 4L reptile fogger. I can and did bump humidity up to 65. Then the smell started. 3 days later. I will confess I had the reptile fogger hose going through the bottom tent vent hole, So the fog was hitting the floor and causing moisture and puddles, I would wipe down every other hour… Will moving the hose, to have it enter from the ceiling vent hole- fogging downward.
do you think I’ll have a problem with moisture or mold funky smell doing it this way?
I wanted to ask someone before adding humidity again, I think of I have it blow down like that out will spread out more, Not sweating puddles on the tent for… Could of been my mistake…
Could you maybe give me some advice please? THANK YOU !!
Also I want to add my tent is in the basement and it’s warm so cold isn’t an issue the issue is I keep my tank closed….

  19. Doug Dill on February 12, 2023 at 8:43 pm

In the drying stage after harvest, the humidity in my dry room is running about 35 percent , do I need a humidifier to bring up the humidity?

  20. Jim Miller on February 12, 2023 at 8:43 pm

Where is the room air being pulled from? And shouldn’t it be fresh outside air? And does the heater pull alot of amps? Thanks

  21. Levi McGee on February 12, 2023 at 8:44 pm

I live in Tucson, AZ, and I’ve been growing for just over a year. In the desert, higher humidity makes 150% difference. I have run grows both with and without a humidifier, and the plants do sooo much better with a higher rh. I also spray them down with regular water twice a day( only in veg) and they grow about twice as fast. If you grow weed, do not neglect to keep your plants moist. Cannabis plants thrive with lots of humidity and good air flow.

  22. Chris Morales on February 12, 2023 at 8:44 pm

Cool set up. I can imagine the plant moisture pumped into the attic can’t be good. Mold.

  24. Mike Benneig on February 12, 2023 at 8:45 pm

I’ve gone through 4 humidifiers in the last two months. Now I don’t have one. What do you use for a humidifier and do you use distilled water? I live in the country and have a well with a salt purifier. I think that’s what has been messing the humidifiers up. Thanks!!!

  25. Alex Garcia on February 12, 2023 at 8:46 pm

what type of water do you use for your humidifier?

  26. Cedric Pineault on February 12, 2023 at 8:46 pm

It’s very random to talk about humidity and temps without going in VPD…you’ll never have good end results just going random 70-80 and 50-60% RH

  27. Cryboutit on February 12, 2023 at 8:48 pm

Bro I have a clone. It’s bout a week old. My temperature is 71 in tent and humidity 37% is that ok? I’m bout to transplant and then I guess crank up the light to 75% or 100%? For 18 hours on and 6 hours off ? I need some advise. We in Virginia growing now that it’s legal

I wanna close the bottom flaps on my 2×4 so no light gets out , but then no air will get in. Any ideas?

  31. SIMZ on February 12, 2023 at 8:56 pm

If you buy one of those black little generic temp humidity sensors I think you get false readings at canopy of temp and humidity eventually as the lights heat it up, or their just total random nonsense, not sure. 90% humidity outside, 80 inside in the tent reasonable at lights on. 85% 20c outside still, 40% and 30c in the tent 3 hrs later with the black box. But my white thermometers were reading 26 and 28. You could always just wing it with a good strain like durban poison or skunk that will grow in anything

  32. WISS tube on February 12, 2023 at 8:59 pm

i have one with tge ion optiin does help the grow

  33. ToxicAvenger360 on February 12, 2023 at 8:59 pm

In uk humidity is 89 standards so dehumidifier is essential and powerful fan

  34. Slick_k15 _84_84 on February 12, 2023 at 8:59 pm

I think I might need a small heater with a thermostat switch. But I’m so paranoid of a fire lol.

  36. Michael Schaller on February 12, 2023 at 9:00 pm

Simple as , its better to have snd not need them than to need them and not have em .

  37. jcallesano on February 12, 2023 at 9:00 pm

So what about the new lighting technology LEC lighting fixtures? I have the new LEC 315 watt light currently. It’s certainly not in the class of LED and it does not have a built-in fan nor does it need to be hooked up to a vent hose

  38. David Black on February 12, 2023 at 9:01 pm

I have the same Lasko fan 👍

  39. Black Carbon on February 12, 2023 at 9:03 pm

Great video I always learn from your videos. My only question is that I have heard you mention Cfm and the importance of getting fresh air to the roots and bad hot air that rises to the top of the tent out. In order to circulate my air every 1-3 minutes my in-line fan has to stay on which completely kills my humidity. Do you have any solutions for my problem.

  40. 9th gate dim on February 12, 2023 at 9:04 pm

Hey I’m on the east coast it’s cold I have seedlings in my tent I have a heater in my tent with led lights with Humidifier and heat mats I’ve lost 3 girls so far I have a small fan for air circulation my question do I just us the heat mats and cut off heater or just us heater I have a coco soil and 30% perlite mix

  41. made on Earth on February 12, 2023 at 9:05 pm

i found that humidity controll in flower and late flower is the most critical one for me but now that i ordered a decend sized dehumidifier that problem should dissapear 🙂

  42. Aspiring Psychologist on February 12, 2023 at 9:06 pm

What if we don’t use carbon filter and exhaust instead use two exhaust fans?

  43. Driftwannabe 10 on February 12, 2023 at 9:08 pm

I don’t run my extraction until it starts to smell. I use the inward air pressure to push the air out of a top vent.

  44. Washington Tweed on February 12, 2023 at 9:10 pm

Your truly seem like good people Mr Grow it. I have not really made any presence known about myself listening, watching and learning under the radar to start growing a plant I wish I would of looked into growing serious sooner, growing up growing vegetable and flower gardens come spring with my grandfather back in the 90’s was some of the best life i’ve lived. One thing to mention even what seems like simple process that doesn’t need explanation still probably isn’t so simple and should be explained AKA the screen vents at the bottom of the grow tent my eyes never even noticed and thought it was somewhat odd a clear window to look in from the floor but figured in time my answer would come, Trying to lower humidity in flower with a dehumidifier and other possible equipment and knew something was off.. Thanks for showing me something I never paid close enough attention to and now know. Appreciate it

  45. Mr Mighty on February 12, 2023 at 9:10 pm

Is that King 402 better than modern led bar like Spider Farmer or Mars Hydro? They are similar priced right now.

  46. PattyCakes on February 12, 2023 at 9:10 pm

    For self reference:
    LED: 75-85f

    Veg: 50-70%
    Flower: 40-60%

  47. Christian Lowe on February 12, 2023 at 9:13 pm

Great video, but how do you leave you intake vent open without light coming through?

  48. Larry Geran on February 12, 2023 at 9:14 pm

Wow what an LED! I think this is the oldest video I’ve watched of yours

  49. Josh Turner on February 12, 2023 at 9:14 pm

    Straight to the point 👍👍👍

  50. v4d3rm4n on February 12, 2023 at 9:15 pm

Just crank up the fan speed to piss the air out when too humid. Use the leds for heating and a humidifier and control is a must though.
