PH GERMINATION EXPERIMENT! – GERMINATING CANNABIS SEEDS – WILL IT GERMINATE?

PH GERMINATION EXPERIMENT! – GERMINATING CANNABIS SEEDS – WILL IT GERMINATE?

I’ve always germinated my cannabis seeds in RO water with a pH of 7.0 and never knew what other pH levels would work for germination. Therefore, I decided to do this pH germination experiment. I also tried germinating seeds in pH Up and pH Down solutions. If you want to see more cannabis grow experiments like this, click the thumbs up button! 🙂

Good to know, well done ! could be check for different temperature as well, and distill water vs regular different PPM level, must be comprehensive for germinate seeds ! thanks Mr. Grow it !

  2. Bobs Cousin on June 10, 2022 at 5:34 am

What i get from this is whatever ph your going to use for growing can be used for germinating. Very good info, thanks

  3. John Kreiger on June 10, 2022 at 5:34 am

Yes i think your a boss for making this video soo awesome i was wondering this exact question and you answered it in entirety. My expectations were the same as yours and am very surprised looked like 11. Something did the most accelerated growth, did you end up growing all those sprouts to harvest of at least continue with them?

Dude. Stating a hypothesis, testing it through experimentation, writing down, and publishing your results IS science. Don’t say that you aren’t a scientist. You may not be classically trained; but, you definitely are a scientist.

    PH 5

You just answered my question! Thank you!

are all seeds the same ? doesnt this matter too?

  9. Rambladesman Moe on June 10, 2022 at 5:42 am

Very cool and interesting. Definitely more of this type stuff. Most of these grow videos are very repetitive so this was different and interesting. Thanks MGI

  10. Jim Odonnell on June 10, 2022 at 5:43 am

Back to the point distilled water

  11. TeeKoon on June 10, 2022 at 5:43 am

Unless I miss it, viable seeds gonna sink to the bottom will in most case germinate, Seeds floating covered by an oily film will sink later . Cracked shell seeds will always float from air inside, I germ in a glass of water + a few drops of javel bleach mainly for older seeds so I don’t need to change water.

What happend to posting links to the seed banks u use their not in the description as u said they would be?

  13. Growing Everything on June 10, 2022 at 5:44 am

Using root booster to germinate my weed seeds try that one

  14. Jt42 Arnold on June 10, 2022 at 5:45 am

It’s really cool how the real low PH didn’t Sprout and then just one point above that it did. And then the 11 pH sprouted then the 11.5 didn’t. I think that’s awesome interesting!

  15. Freak on June 10, 2022 at 5:45 am

Would be interesting to see how they grew afterwards

  16. TROY DAWES on June 10, 2022 at 5:46 am

after 72 hours it looks like all the seeds in between a ph of 3 and 10 germinated just fine. Thanks for the experiment Mr. Grow it!! I will continue to germinate between 6 and 7.

    very nice

  19. Sir Derty ֎ on June 10, 2022 at 5:53 am

The shell is not effected by pH, hey you learn something new every day. But for sure those seedlings died in the non5-8 range, very fast I bet hah. As soon as the plant cells escaped and hit that high pH or low pH, boom, gone, no?

  20. Robert Roush on June 10, 2022 at 5:55 am

I ain’t got any pH down for my silica so I used honey

  21. Joe W on June 10, 2022 at 5:55 am

@Mr.Growit have you ever started seeds in Coco and they look shitty? I started a few and they’re on their 3rd set of leaves and look burned to hell. Is that due to poor ph? And I dont have RSO water.

  22. Jon.S on June 10, 2022 at 5:56 am

    Good experiment

  23. LEE YEREX on June 10, 2022 at 5:58 am

So unless it’s the extreme end they really couldn’t five a shit what they sprout in? Good video pal.

  24. EN1GMA on June 10, 2022 at 5:59 am

What do you mean low ph
What kind of water is that? loll

What ph meter do you recommend?

  32. ken saguilla on June 10, 2022 at 6:14 am

Sir how to grow cannabis seeds in a hot surface…

  33. Effet Mère on June 10, 2022 at 6:14 am

This is a good idea ! Do more please.. peace

  34. Circle on June 10, 2022 at 6:15 am

Cool experiment. It’s sad that you say "I’m not a scientist", when you clearly proved otherwise by using the scientific method. Lol 🙂
I think if we looked at the actual chemical ingredient(s) of the pH up and pH down used, it might shed light on the results? Like if one is derived from some form of potassium (for example) that might aid in germination or "root development". That may be why, say, the lower pH’d water (acidic) *appeared* to do better (small sample size).

    Great job man.
    Thanks.

  35. Red Dead Dylan on June 10, 2022 at 6:15 am

Well done. Now do one with humidity and temp! Awesome

  36. Ronald Rappaport on June 10, 2022 at 6:16 am

    very informative!!!

  37. Barry Fredrick on June 10, 2022 at 6:17 am

    The music tho! 🤣

  38. Jim Odonnell on June 10, 2022 at 6:17 am

Great job . I just finished germinated 15 seeds this way literally just now! Only concern is my moisture in my humidity cover

  39. michael jolley on June 10, 2022 at 6:18 am

Yes thank you for the ph on water i did like you trying all different ph’s very interesting thank you mate.

  40. ꧁Natus Iterum꧂ on June 10, 2022 at 6:19 am

My PH from tap is 9.0. I always bring it down to 6.2 with great results.

  41. Anthony Handcock on June 10, 2022 at 6:23 am

Pause… Prediction. It doesn’t really matter and any differences will be marginal.

  42. Rahff84 on June 10, 2022 at 6:23 am

I thought the pH 10 was really surprising ! Great experiment, breaks the meta 🙂

  43. RealThor89 on June 10, 2022 at 6:24 am

    Cool video.

  44. XavierBetoN on June 10, 2022 at 6:25 am

    Wow! ph#10.0 really surprising!

  45. Drew on June 10, 2022 at 6:26 am

I know that my comment is three years late however I will still participate. I think set water pH with 3.0 all the way up to you 9.0 will sprout the seeds. All of the other pH levels will sprout but the seedling will not be good If it even sprouts

  46. ken saguilla on June 10, 2022 at 6:26 am

And what kind of water, soil etc that we use

  47. Austin Baiton on June 10, 2022 at 6:27 am

1.2 pH??? im surprised there was still an exosperm in the seed lol.

  48. allen dougherty on June 10, 2022 at 6:28 am

    pretty cool

  49. :Mark-edward. on June 10, 2022 at 6:31 am

    7.5 to 8 not 1 has poped….
    Strange to startn bug me

  50. Swayze 65 on June 10, 2022 at 6:31 am

Great experiment. I think age, and storage, have alot to do with if a seed grows healthy. I took some old seeds and tried popping them and didn’t have much luck. But used a south pole of a magnet under the same kind of old seeds and they grew better than some other newer seeds I had. Try using magnets for increase growing. I’m still experimenting. There are other vids on youtube.
